You will definitely need the actual book to use the workbooks. My fiance and I have been working through the lessons and are about halfway through the workbooks. The best thing about the exercises is that there are so many things about my future wife that I didn't know, especially in regards to how she thinks and feels about certain aspects of life. We are becoming closer as we're beginning to understand each other at a deeper level. I'm learning more about how women communicate and how they really aren't able to come to grips with exactly how we operate either. The exercises vary from childhood influences to budgeting to love languages. We look forward to each time we work through the lessons. I highly recommend them for any couple preparing for marriage.

I think this is a good book for people that does know how to be a gentlemen but I found I knew most of the stuff already.

At first I was afraid this book would be full of platitudes and one-liners on how to be a gentleman but as I read it I began to understand how the book all comes together. I very much enjoyed the reasoning behind some of the "do's and don'ts" listed in the book and while much of the book just seems to be common courtesy, how common ARE some of the courtesies any more?

An excellent book and one I would recommend to just about any gentleman or potential gentleman.

This hilarious book from Roald Dahl that tells about the funny things that he had done throughout his life. People who enjoy other books Dahl wrote will laugh on this one. For instance, Roald and his friends put a dead rat into a jar of Gobstoppers. IF you read the book, you should read more of Roald Dahl's adventures. I will recommend this book to people who like nonfiction and funny stories because it has both great and funny story.

The Measure of a Man is a fast read that expands on the characteristics of a leader mentioned in Paul's letters to Timothy and Titus. Together with the workbook and video series on the topic, I believe it enhances our growth as Christian men and moves us along our journey toward becoming the men God created us to be.
