Each EXAMBUSTERS Study Card title provides a concise, focused review of course material. Only essential facts and formulas are presented. We cover many introductory high school and college courses, and our titles are approved by the New York City Board of Education.

Why are Study Cards the best way to learn?
Because we learn most effectively when we can:
---absorb information in small, progressive increments.
---take an active part in the process
---receive immediate feedback (the answer is shown as soon as we fill in the blank)

Who wrote the cards?
High school teachers, test prep coaches, language experts, professional interpreters and translators, and college professors, with a focus on preparing students for standardized tests such as the AP, New SAT, SAT II, PRAXIS, GRE, GED, GMAT, MCAT, ACT, CLEP, and many others. Each Course in a Box or Course on CD-Rom covers the basics of a full year introductory course. EXAMBUSTERS Study Cards focus only on essential facts, definitions, and formulas. The flash cards were designed to help students learn and review courses efficiently.

What is the advantage of flash card study over textbooks and review books?
---Parents, tutors, and teachers can work together with students. Perfect for home schooling!
---Groups of students can have fun turning a study session into a trivia game.
---Portable: Learn a few each day. A sense of accomplishment grows as your stack of I have no idea! decreases, and the stack of I know the answer! increases.

Who has benefitted from our study cards?
* high school and college students
* head start oriented grade school students
* parents and grandparents concerned about their children's education
* teachers (for classroom, small group activities)
* tutors (for one-on-one teaching)

Another sorry PCAT book 1 out of 5 stars.
12 of 12 people found this review helpful.

Listen, I just took the PCAT about an hour ago. This book is not good. Biology questions were not even close, chemistry questions were a little better, but not close. Worthless.
The first review was probably someone selling books.
Trust me. Bad.

A "quick and dirty" way to prepare for the dreaded PCAT. 5 out of 5 stars.
11 of 16 people found this review helpful.

Hey what can I say? This is a VERY GOOD BOOK. Belive it or not this book has some questions that I found on the actural PCAT test!!! It is not many (about 5-10 out of the entire test that I can remember) but it helps A LOT. If you want to get a PCAT book, get this one first then the others. It is crude looking but don't let that fool you. It is a good book. It was even nice enough to give you a listing of the accredited pharmacy colleges and where you can write to apply for the test. A complete preparation book.

Not worth the money 1 out of 5 stars.

The title on the front states that "ARCO is the leader in test preparation". If this is true I'd really hate to see all the other brands. This book led me to believe the practice questions presented would be similiar in content and form as the actual test. The only thing I saw similiar to the actual test was that the test was in a multiple choice format. I found the practice questions to be no where near the difficulty of the PCAT. The verbal ability part only gave example questions of antonyms and synonyms, leaving out analagies which is half of the verbal ability test.

EXCELLENT STUDY GUIDE 4 out of 5 stars.
8 of 8 people found this review helpful.

I recenlty took the TASP Test for the second time and I passed the test. I borrowed this book from a friend and study about 2 weeks on the reading and writing sections. This is a very good book and it has exactly everything that is on the test in the book. If you buy the book and study through it you will have no problem passing the test.

Thanks a million

A horrible guide to a horrible program 1 out of 5 stars.
4 of 21 people found this review helpful.

As a college student in Texas, I have had to take this wretched test, and often worry about the status of Texas higher education because of it's presence.

While learning disabled students are allowed access to other tests on campus, the TASP program has determined that the number of disability testing sites should be so small to make travel difficult. To date, the primary sites are in Austin and Houston---I felt somewhat fortunate because I lived in the latter during the summers and holiday breaks, but enough is enough.

A glance inside this book will tell you that the myriad rules and regulations governing this program are enough to make your head spin (and possibly implode). Sure, it sounds impressive on paper, but the program is a bureaucratic nightmare for disabled students who can be shuffled from one step to another without few good explainations about what is actually going on.

Even now, I shudder when I remember how much time and energy I spent on trying to solve a test that was not even remotely designed to measure what I had learned from years of special education classes. It appeared the majority of adminstrators were parroting the virtues of this program without actually thinking about how it would work in real life.

Just to Practice 3 out of 5 stars.
3 of 3 people found this review helpful.

I used this book to practice some more to the GMAT test. My especific problems for the GMAT test lies on the reading, vocabulary and structure of it, on spot that english is not my first language. The book improve my skills on it, and seems to satisfy the objectives above. I agree that the title is too optimist for the book (GMAT 800), but think of it as a complementary self-study course. To use the official guide is a must.

My favorite GMAT book 5 out of 5 stars.
2 of 3 people found this review helpful.

I love this book, very transparent and organized by topic sections. First, you have to answer three to four questions, and the solution with detailed explanation is just two pages ahead. I really like it, it's a lot easier to begin to study with, than for example official guide or Princeton review which I consider more as a drill where questions are not as neatly organized as here(it's more test like)...Hope this helps!

good material 4 out of 5 stars.
1 of 1 people found this review helpful.

if you haven't started studying for the gmat this book isn't for you. you should start w/the kaplan 2007 gmat book then move to this after you're done with that. the explanations are pretty good in this book. my only gripe is that some of the same exact questions that appear in their course book for the class ( i actually took a class) so i was doing the ssame questions twice. i don't mind the review but now i'm wondering where i can get some difficult questions that i haven't had exposure to. i'm going to move onto the official guide gmat book next.

Poor editing, not so challenging math examples 1 out of 5 stars.
7 of 8 people found this review helpful.

This book was truly disappointing. This was the last book I used in preparing for the GMAT and it was so riddled with errors and poor explanations that it made me want to pull my hair out. The math problems were easy in the book but the actual problems I saw on the GMAT were much harder (and I'm a freakin' engineer!) I would recommend the Official GMAT study guide with over 1400 questions and irrefutable explanations (they wrote the test so they should know). My score was 740 and I think the Official Guide was the most helpful. I also used the Princeton Review book but it was not nearly as bad as this Kaplan trash.

Good But Incomplete 3 out of 5 stars.
13 of 15 people found this review helpful.

This guide is very helpful but should not be your sole guide to which college offers what grad programs - they do not include every single program. For example, the University of Maryland has a public relations program, but is not included under that section. It is an easy-to-use supplement, but don't forget to try Petersons.com and any other sources you may find.
