This book is awesome. If you have a hard time following in the beginning, just keep reading. By the time you get to the end, you will be glad you kept pushing through the book. I will read and re-read it; as a matter of fact, I loved it more the second time through.

Jesus' Teaching - Now I Get It 5 out of 5 stars.

Jesus was a first-century Jew in Palestine, and spoke to the people of His day in ways THEY understood. Un-educated and scholarly alike LIVED in a culture of Picture-Festivals and Teaching Stories and from early childhood were brought up surrounded by the picture-language which God spoke through.

Jesus came and lived amongst them. He explained the pictures and prophecies, and gave miraculous signs that He was God's answer to these mysterious Divine Revelations.

Twentieth century Westerners need a Guide, steeped in Jewish Imagery, Litergy, and Culture, to put Jesus' words and actions in context. Then we can also marvel at their beauty, simplicity and power.

The author of the Outpouring explains the religious background and timing of Jesus' words and actions. He takes the festivals, (which God had commanded the Jews to "Act out" each year for over a millenium), and explains what happened when and why, and what Jesus did in response.

Too profound for the wise, but so simple and clear that a child can understand, Jesus FULFILLS the Jewish Festivals, as He promised.

The biblical truth about 3 days & 3 nights!!!! 4 out of 5 stars.

I noted with dismay that Mr. Woodrow is among the millions who naively "believe" in a translator, without seriously searching the Koine Greek Text from which our Bible has been translated! I am a bilingual person and I studied with great care much more than this 3day/night issue; and I can prove from the Greek N/T that there is NOT A SINGLE WORD in the entire N/T that would support a "first day of the week" theory! The Greek words for the "first" (protos) and "day" (himera) are not written there to support a "first day of the week" resurrection theory! This 3day/3night controversy has led to much division into Christ's body of believers for the past 1900 years; and this ought not to have happened IF the people "in charge" would have done their biblical "home work" with respect for the Greek text as well. Some in power only desire "high positions" rather than be honest in handling Christ's Words of truth! I read/write both Greek and Russian and I can tell you that their alphabet is almost identical! Therefore, if the people "in charge" would have learned at least the alphabet, they could have ascertained (with little help from Greek biblical lexicons/commentaries) the fact I just revealed above! It is SO OBVIOUS for a trained eye to see in ALL RELEVANT VERSES involving 3days/3nights issue that our Lord Jesus was raised from his grave immediately (and during twi-light time) "after the 3 days and 3 nights have duly expired", as HE ASCERTAINED WITH DIVINE AUTHORITY before the monitoring security services of the Hebrew temple! The point made in the Greek is CHRIST'S DIVINE AUTHORITY OVER DEATH, not necessarily "the time"; as in Greek grammar "time of action" is secondary concern before the "kind of action" principle. And, though in this case, since Jesus' divine authority over death and grave was paramount, it follows that He insisted on 3 days and 3 nights course...just because He wanted so, and He explained Himself why so! But, generally in Greek grammar, the "kind of action" principle is paramount, and the "time of action" is secondary!

This book explains why the author could no longer in good conscience hold the Wednesday/Saturday view concerning Christ's burial and resurrection. Why does only ONE verse say "three days and thee nights," and 20 verses say "the third day" or "in three days"? Figuring that a day ends at sundown, how should we explain the wording: "in the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn..."? Was a time period the "only" sign Jesus gave that he was the Messiah?

Demons In The Church 4 out of 5 stars.

I have just read Demons In The Church. I believe the author has hit the nail on the head. We as Christians so often are afraid to give Satan too much credit, and error on giving him too little. I agree with Mr. Skolfield that the church is opening its door to Satan. I also agree with him on his position of women in the church.

Who in the world is Bro. Skolfield? I don't know either, but after you read his book 'Demons In the Church' you will know that he has heard from God...This is a desperately needed teaching for the Church today. We have cast off one "little" thing as the Church has become modernized. It has opened the door to demons to creep into the Church and seduce us away from the simplicity that is in Christ? What is it that we cast off..? Buy the Book and find out! You won't regret it trust me...C.H.

A Covenantal Past-Fulfillment View of Revelation 5 out of 5 stars.

"Come Out of Her My People" is a reader friendly study of the book of Revelation from the covenantal past fulfillment point of view. It is an excellent commentary showing how the events of Revelation took place in the first century, just as it was prophesied to John: "Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written in it; for the time is near." (Rev 1:3)

In a day when so many Bible teachers and writers are focusing on a sudden rapture of the church, a huge antichrist with tremendous powers, and great plagues that wipe out huge portions of the earth, this book gives a new perspective showing how Revelation was fulfilled in the first century. It's events are in our past, not in our future. It's very refreshing.

The book of Revelation made easy to understand 5 out of 5 stars.

The book of Revelation is often avoided by many Christians including Pastors because of it's difficult passages & seemingly hidden meanings. Yet in Dr. Bailey's book these seemingly obscure areas become illuminated. In easy to understand language the author sheds light on this very important Bible book. Dr. Bailey takes the reader through the book verse by verse explaining each one. Emphasis is given to linking the truths found in Revealtion to other books in the Bible. The reader is clearly shown that the seeds of Revelation are found in Genesis and continue throughout the Bible. In this fashion this book becomes much easier to comprehend as these important links are made.

This book will challenge the most ardent Bible scholar yet is simple enough for any layman to understand. In these days of fast moving change and increased interest in where it all fits in Bible prophecy, Dr. Bailey's book helps us to see what the end time events will be and the order in which certain things must take place.

It is important that Christians understand the book of Revelation and that Pastors are willing and able to teach it to their congregations. As Dr. Bailey points out, the book of Revelation is the only book in the Bible with a blessing pronounced on those who read it (Rev. 1:3).

After reading Dr. Bailey's book I have a much better undersanding of the book of Revelation. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to have a greater insight into this Bible book.
