Children who claim to remember a previous life have been found in many parts of the world, particularly in the Buddhist and Hindu countries of South Asia, among the Shiite peoples of Lebanon and Turkey, the tribes of West Africa, and the American northwest. Stevenson has collected over 2,600 reported cases of past-life memories of which 65 detailed reports have been published. Specific information from the children's memories has been collected and matched with the data of their claimed former identity, family, residence, and manner of death. Birthmarks or other physiological manifestations have been found to relate to experiences of the remembered past life, particularly violent death. Writing as a specialist in psychiatry and as a world-renowned scientific investigator of reported paranormal events, Stevenson asks us to suspend our Western tendencies to disbelieve in "reincarnation" and consider the reality of the burgeoning record of cases now available. This book summarizes Stevenson's findings which are presented in full in the multi-volume work entitled Reincarnation and Biology: A Contribution to the Etiology of Birthmarks and Birth Defects, also published by Praeger.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK FROM A VERY ADVANCED SOUL 5 out of 5 stars.

The author, Rob Grant, is one of the foremost authorities on the Cayce readings, having studied, catalogued and put them on CD-ROM over a period of five years. Being personally acquainted with the author, I will tell you that he is one of the most advanced souls I've ever met -- genuinely loving, kind, compassionate, helpful, open-minded and throughly knowledgeable about the Cayce readings. His book, The Place We Call Home, reflects all of these. It is a book that gives much hope to the terminally ill, as well as to all seekers. He has written a concise book enlightening the reader with all Edgar Cayce said about passing over to the other side and what we will find there. I have also met George Ritchie, whose near death experience Rob Grants refers to in his book and who wrote a best seller back in the 1960 called "Return from Tomorrow," from which much about which we understand about death and dying came. These two men, more than anyone else, have convinced me of the reality of the afterlife and what one can expect to find there.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS WONDERFUL, HOPEFUL and LOVING BOOK!

Most intellectual.. but... 4 out of 5 stars.

After reading Dr. Holzar's book I was most impressed by the intellectual caliber of his writings. Its first class. He also raised and comparatively discussed the religious vs. straight science points of view concerning survival of biological death. He gives good advise on how to be skeptical and ask the right questions, have doubts where you should when dealing with psychic mediums. ( I just found one who was reading me through asking questions, but definately not communicating with the beyond)

I was amazed by how many chapters Dr. Holzar devoted to anecdotal stories his respondents had told. I found some of them, especially the spooky ones with faces inside orbs just a bit beyond the pale. Perhaps he should recognize, having a first rank mind and apparently some training in science, that such tales should be treated with the highest of skepticisms. For example he relates one tale of two teenage girls who for some undisclosed reason, decide to bunk in an old house over night. The girls are terrorized by alleged foot steps tramping up stairs. Later on a subsequent evening they get a boy friend to sleep down stairs while they again bunk up. The whole footstep scenario repeats.

Doc Holzar, have you never been a father of a teenager? Do you not know their fascination with such imaginary bumps in the night and hysterical need to tell frightful chilling stories? Not saying it didn't happen, but when folks tell such extraordinary tales, it needs extraordinary proof.
However, this soft spot in the book did not detract from its over all fine quality.
The Doc asks us to be skeptical, but I guess its a case of do as I say, not as I have done.

Lievegoed final work is so well crafted that you read it as you would a good novel. His insight into the spiritual comes from a lifetime of exaustive work in Anthroposophy coupled with a wit and levity seldom seen in other Anthroposophical authors. Each day he covers a topic too big to fit into one book, but he finds the a way to condense such huge ideas into an incredibly concise book that lays seeds for future work. You can almost see his expression of impish joy as he gently nudges the reader into viewing the spiritual worlds that he has worked his whole life to open. He at one point comments, it is time to sow not to reap. If so, he leaves the reader in a fertile field as well as a well stocked grainery for future farmers.

THE LEGEND OF STARCRASH

Through regressive hypnosis a lost legend of the history of mankind has been retrieved from the recesses of time. Did the American Indians descend from the inhabitants of an alien spacecraft that crashed in the Alaska-Canada region thousands of years ago? Keepers of the Garden told the story of the original seeding of the plant Earth by aliens from outer space. Starcrash indicates that aliens continued to come to Earth, some intentionally and by accident, throughout our history. In order to adjust to harsh conditions and the brutal rays of an alien sun, the survivors were forced to interbreed with the local aborigines. This was the only way to insure the survival of their race. Does their blood still flow in the veins of certain American Indian tribes?

Dolores Cannon's warm and inquisitive, yet non-obstinate approach in dealing with her subjects and their spirit entities under regressive hypnosis gives much credence to the integrity of the subject matter. This book stages the probable seeding and origin of our ancestors, and WOW!, is it a mindbender. Tuin, who is the main character and tribal hunter for the commune, delivers interesting insights to the societal structure and specialized importance each member's responsibility brings to the tribal commune. In a naive and innocent manner, Tuin relates his adventuresome and somewhat rascally personality within a warm and caring community, which in a primitive way appears more advanced and evolved than our current existence.

That's not all! The latter part of the book, Dolores explores Tuin's higher spiritual nature, giving a sophisticated glimpse at the unfolding of human history. For those of you who have interest in the migration of man to North America and the Native American role in that perspective, this is a MUST book. Why, we even get a glimpse into to the effect of the great prehistorical asteroid hit on earth. Great, easy, and believable reading. An opportunity to enhance one's enlightenment.

At a time when these subjects were taboo to speak about around the dinner table, it was difficult to understand where to turn for clarification, knowledge, etc. Ruth Montgomery's books helped me a great deal in finding that understanding, encouraged me to seek more knowledge, and develop my own abilities to the degree that I have now worked with assisting clients and law enforcement for the past twenty years. Without her books, I would not have had the understanding nor the knowledge on what I was dealing with regarding my own psychic abilities.
