The Urantia Book may be the most powerful evidence ever that mankind is not alone and that there is intelligent life in the Universe. The Urantia Book boldly claims to be a revelation of truth to our world from a friendly and well-ordered universe. A revelation, in book form, intended to help guide humankind into the next era of evolutionary progress. It provides a deeper appreciation and understanding of our own planetary family, as well as our place in the cosmic family of freewill intelligent beings. It reveals as never before an infinite circle of creation, at the center of which reigns our beneficent and loving creator.

First published in 1955, The Urantia Book is a literary masterpiece that harmonizes science, religion, and philosophy, while illuminating mankind s origin, history and destiny. A full third of the book is devoted to the life and teachings of Jesus and is undoubtedly the most sublimely beautiful story of Jesus ever told.

Part I, The Central and Super Universe, deals with God the first source and center all things and beings in a vast creation. The U Book is often a difficult read for first timers, especially if they have had little preliminary discussion about its content. "Introduction" presents some of the fundamentals contained in the revelation in an easy to grasp manner. If still interested, the reader can progress to the U Book itself. This is far better than frustrating a reader in the first 20 pages of The Urantia Book.

I have been a reader of The Urantia Book for several years. Despite regular and methodical reading, plus also owning a copy of Concordance, I still have not managed to finish the book nor digest some of its more difficult premises. This Introduction by David Bradley helped me do that.

At first I was hesitant that it would alter some of the TUB's basic theories. When an author attempts to simplify and explain, he can offer enter in false information through his own personal "filter" of understanding. Bradley avoids this by quoting directly from the book and keeping his own explanations to the barest minimum. The most beneficial thing Bradley did was to select out key paragraphs from TUB and put them together, thereby helping the reader to summarize some of the most important concepts quickly.

The other benefit of Bradley's book are the illustrations. In order to understand the cosmos as explained in TUB, I've had to make my own sketches. Bradley has saved us all a lot of time by making two large and really excellent illustrations.

Es un magnífico libro que recoge muchas de las preguntas que nos hacemos a diario en lo largo de nuestras vidas, y que te las contesta de una manera lógica y secuencial que permite la posibilidad de que sean acertadas.
Un buen libro para leerlo despacio y detenidamente, y puede ser comparado con muchos libros de historias y tradiciones que se han escrito.
Te lo recomiendo...

This book is serious stuff! Deep inside ourselves we know that we are just travelers on this Earth; but it takes courage to acknowledge this. I know that what it tells about our origin and destiny is true, not only because my intuition tells me so, but also because of all related books I have read, and of course, my own meditations.

It is refreshing to be able to have an objective perspective on historical issues which have created havoc through time. It ususaly takes common sense to reach some conclusions, but then again we are on a material world and try to detach from it is easier said than done.

I truly believe that this book is bound to be a precedent to finally learn to place responsibility inside ourselves and then radiate towards the outside, rather than placing responsibilites elsewhere. True changes take place inside-out, not the other way around. And love is The Tool.

We are but a tiny grain of sand within the immensity of the universe... however, it is electrifying, so exciting, awesome to realize that none withstanding this fact each one of us is unique, that life is utterly fair and our free will is respected no matter what.

Review - The Birth of a Divine Revelation 5 out of 5 stars.

This is a must read. It is a benchmark work against which all Histories and Mysteries dealing with the origin of the Urantia Papers must be weighed. The wealth of detail from Moyer's extensive research on the early days of William Sadler, human agent for the Revelation, and his meeting of the "Sleeping Subject," has no comparison.

Moyer provides useful introductory material for those who may be meeting the Urantia Book for the first time. He then goes on to survey the sequence of events starting with the appearance of the "Sleeping Subject" in LaGrange, Illinois in 1908, to the event of the actual revelation in 1934 and 1935. He shows the nature of the "Contact Commission," entrusted with the care of the Revelation, and how the "Forum" developed, with its role in the generation of the Papers. He provides an unvarnished account of the interplay of personalities, with all of their human frailties. Those human shortcomings eventually led to Sadler interposing in the text, and reducing the Revelation to something less than the perfection we would expect from divine beings.

Moyer, a believer that the Urantia Papers are a Divine Revelation, exercises an intellectual honesty that is striking. He faces up to cruel realities where others cower. Such a masterful work will withstand the keenest scrutiny.

You will never grasp the truth behind the origins of the Urantia Papers without reading this book.

Don't deprive yourself of this message! 5 out of 5 stars.

When I was first introduced to The Urantia Book a number of years ago, I was encouraged to look beyond the obstacle of authorship and judge the validity of it's message on it's content. The idea that the truth would "ring true" deep within my being was often expressed. I took this advice to heart, and as I immersed myself in it's pages, I was rewarded by a whole choir of bells ringing true within me. It pains me to think how many people out there are depriving themselves of this amazing message just because they can't deal with the possibility that the papers were authored by "superhuman beings". It really doesn't matter who wrote the papers at all, what matters is the message. I, for example, am writing this review. Very few people who read this actually know me, so the majority of you will have to ponder what I have written and take from it what you will. Why should any other message be any different?

That many people will choose not to read The Center Within because of the source of it's teachings pains me as well. Many of the same Urantians who will encourage those reading The Urantia Book to look at the message and not judge the book by it's authorship will do exactly the opposite to this book. And as with The Urantia Book, those who choose to ignore this book are depriving themselves of a beautiful, uplifting, and even practical message. I would encourage everyone, Urantian or not, to open themselves to this message. I know that you will not be dissappointed.

The Urantia Book is quite simply the most amazing book on Earth. Its power to inspire love and brotherhood among people is and has been unequaled since it was possible to actually interact with Jesus of Nazareth 2000 years ago.

It is the complete synthesis of science, history, philosophy and religion that the world has long needed. It is the single most transformational event in my life of 63 years. It is the message that will begin the transformation of our planet into the place it was intended to be - a world dominated by love, peace, and brotherhood under the Fatherhood of God.

I purchased the Urantia book over 30 years ago, I have also looked into many other spiritual books and related subjects and spent countless hours reading them, nothing can compare with the Urantia book, it is in a class all by it's self. If you have that desire to find God and understand what your purpose on Earth (Urantia) is then read the Urantia book, you'll understand more than you ever expected. I know this sounds over stated but in actuality it is an understatement.

This is the best Christmas gift I ever found.

Learn to Hate God 1 out of 5 stars.

Reading this book will make the indwelling spirit of God very distressed. But the rant and rave author gives a perfect lesson on how a person sounds when losing an augument in a debate. The book is mostly hate talk and insults. He could have distilled the main concept he presents to 30 pages of science. The Urantia Book mentions how they would treat science and anyone who gave it any thought would see this offering has not a leg to stand on. Spare God the trouble and do not waste your time or money on this so called refutation.
