Every book on subjects of Cayce's readings are worth having. This one also included some of his research material. With a limited education, but extraordinary abilities, Cayce connects the planets, time, and our bodies through gems, stones and crystals. Everything is vibration.

I had limited knowledge of crystals, colors and their healing qualities, so this book was a good place to start.

It's "OK, for starters", as the title of the review suggests. It's got plenty of information, has lots of quotations from the readings, mentions the subjectivity of everyone's reaction to colours, stones, crystals, but still leaves you with some questions... You cannot easily know which one is best for you!

It should have some more information inside, I think, but that is up to the author to decide, research and write about!

The *plus*, as far as I'm concerned, is that it's pocket-sized, you can carry it around and read it whenever possible.

Do not let the number of pages deceive you, there is a tremendous amount of information concerning color and the metaphysical significance. This work shows the application of color in several different ways to be used in spiritual clearing. This work can lead you to more in depth study of several disciplines. Enjoy the study.

Great book.. When I received the book I was surprised that it was so little. But, do not let that fool you. For such a little book it is jammed packed with great information. I LOVE the book. I have so many book marks in it. Can throw it in my purse and go off and do a healing.

I was quite impressed with this book. It wasn't too "New-Agey" or technical, and Mark Smith does a great job discussing the many aspects of the aura beyond the basic "how to".

I was already able to see the etheric, but just tonight I finally got my first brief glimpse of color, a light green glow to one side of my hand! Now, whether or not this happened *specifically* from reading this particular book, I really can't say, but I think it definitely helped.

This is such a simple book to read, I read it in less than a day, but it packs a lot of information in it. I started to see auras the same day I read it. Simple, clear and to the point. - Loved it.

I read this book before I had a consultation with Pamala Oslie. The contents were so fascinating and informative that I shared the book with my husband. We both recognized how the yellow life color description fit him perfectly, and we still talk about the characteristics of our life colors and what we feel others around us have as their aura colors. For us, it explains a lot about who we are and why we act the way we do. We can also in all likelihood predict others' future behavior, if we have a good idea of what their life color(s)' makeup is.

Knowing and accepting your negative life patterns and the indications of being out of power can assist in surmounting self-defeating behavior and choosing new beliefs. In this sense, you can take responsibility for what happens in your own life and be your own authority.

When completing the individual color assessments it is vitally important to honestly answer each question. After my consultation I looked back at one of the colors I was told I have in my aura, and I saw how I previously rejected it because I felt there were too many negative characteristics. I then could honestly accept this as who I am, and work on bringing myself back in power as suggested by Pamala.

My rating of 5 stars is intently based on the book and not my experience with the author. However, I would like to describe my interaction because it serves to support her credibility. I had a most interesting session with Ms. Oslie; she related many things she could not have had prior knowledge of. Her descriptions of other people in my life were exact. Ms. Oslie's insights of my beliefs and self-realizing goals have been extremely useful. Her level of understanding, wisdom, ethics and professionalism is unmatched by others in her field, which is typically dotted with charlatans and other individuals of questionable abilities. I was left with no question about the authenticity of Ms. Oslie's abilities to correctly intuit many aspects of my life.

It's a well written book, but so it should be, based on all the information that is taken from Dinshahs'initial work on light therapy over 50 years ago. You can get copies of Dinshahs' material "cheap" from their website... Dinshahs' work was well ahead of its time. It's too bad certain organizations are"still" threatened by his work even though it was an array of doctors who had written most of the original testimonials backing up his work. "Color Medicine" is mostly Dinshahs' work with some good added info. on the healing powers of sound. It's nice to know a modern book acknowledges Dinshahs' work as opposed to many other "Color" books that don't.

At only about 130 pages, I find this book to be quite informative and easy to read. It is basically about the usage of the 49th Vibrational Technique (color which can be combined with sound--musical notes--for healing purposes) and acknowledges the work of East Indian physician Dr. Dinshah P. Ghadiali. The technique of recirculating blocked energy goes back to at least 500 B.C. and was used by Pythagoras and others. The 49th Octave is a vibrational range that corresponds to certain colors, which fall within an electromagnetic energy spectrum. Basically, these colors can be projected to certain areas of the body to affect, and maybe heal, certain medical conditions.

I say "maybe heal" for a reason. You absolutely CANNOT heal someone who does not WANT to be healed. Been there. Yes, believe it or not, there ARE people who really do NOT WANT to be healed. It takes a 1) desire to be healed, and 2) it usually means you have to fix/change whatever made you "sick" in the first place. Change is a painful process for most people and often not worth the trouble. So, if they don't fix whatever made them sick, the condition often returns.

Anyway, the book provides a lot of base information about colors, their vibratory rate, how colors and body energy interact, auras, chakras, energy imbalances, healing with sound,and matching color vibrations to various parts of the body. The book even provides how to information, such as what colors to place on what areas of the body to help reduce high blood pressure. An example of what colors to place on what areas is: in the back of the book, there are 123 conditions listed.Let's pick one:
#51 Gout--Lemon and Magenta on WBF; Scarlet on 12. WBF is Whole Body Front. Area 12 is on the back side of the body, and is the kidney area. This how to is explained in more detail in chapter 5, color application. There are also diagrams of front and back area numbers and locations of major organs so you can figure out what this "language" is saying. There really is a tremendous amount of info in this roughly 113 page book (plus about 17 extra pages of end-of-book stuff.)

There are also good explanations of various colors for those who see colors in the auras or wherever. There ARE people who see colors and energy fields, but if you are checking out this book, you probably already know that.

I purchased my copy of The Language of Color over ten years ago and *still* dig it out from time to time for fun and insight. I love it! Written by a former art instructor, Dorothee Mella discovered trends in her students' color preferences. Intrigued, she decided to work directly with many people to find correlations based on observation to develop this book. (The approach has no metaphysical nor occult origin, and it is NOT a New Age book as one might suspect. Anyone can use it regardless of belief system.) Those on more of the intuitive/artsy side and interested in self-insight would especially enjoy The Language of Color.

The main feature is a simple, fourteen question color test called SICA (Self-Image Color Analysis). There are twenty possible color categories to chose from for your answers to each question. These colors ranges even include achromatics and basic metallics (gold and silver). The result is an accurate personality and mood profile which is easily decoded by the book's answers. It gives insight into one's identity, inspiration, motivation, stresses, and all other sorts of helpful things!

Out of interest, I've learned about several psych & personality "typing" systems over the years. With this approach, however, rather than falling into one of a short number of "types", the SICA really provides a very unique portrait from over 1.6 quintillion possible combination results! The interpretations for each answer are straightforward, fast and easy.

The rest of this book explains how to utilize one's personal portrait colors for enhanced communication, self-actualization, and even decorating various environments with color from your office to your bathroom! There are charts and lists explaining color symbolism and images for business, the messages you give according to what colors you wear, and best color recommendations for your wardrobe according to your SICA. I especially enjoyed her case examples of unhappy people who chose new careers, improved relationships and thus changed their lives after their personal Self-Image Color Analyses. Fun, fast, accurate - The Language of Color is a rare and fun find, a real treasure in the legacy of color research.

It got me going on aura reading when other books failed 5 out of 5 stars.

This book gave drills on how to TOUCH and feel and aura that worked well for me. I found I could really percieve this. It also explained the various layers of the aura, and I was surprised in this that I have always been able to see one part - the spiritual aura - as sort of a glow. I thought I wasn't really seeing auras because I couldn't see colors! Ater reading the book, I walked around malls and other places to look at people. Out of all those people, I succeeded in seeing only TWO auras. A man with a yellow aura, and a woman with a pink one. That's not much, but it's a start.

There was stuff in there about numerology that did not work for me. According to Kirlian photograhpy I have an indigo aura. According to numerology, I have a gold aura. Shucks. Gold is prettier!

I got the book from a library, and am considering purchasing a copy for myself because I found the information about the various colors was sufficiently useful to become a reference.

This is an awesome book on Tantric Buddhism and the occult under Buddhist thought, one grid of measurement in the sea of beneficial blueprints to view humanity and reality under. In this T. Lobsand Rampa goes into the idea of human body and the atomistic view in its relation to smaller and higher forms of matter, the etheric and magnetic fields, the aura and it's colors, the wave fields of telepathy, clairvoyance and psychometry along with other waves of of existence in all matter.

Written as a mail order course combined into a book format, lessons are conveyed on how to understand and read the auric sheath, it's colors, the ability to see the etheric and aura fields, escaping the limitations of the body through meditative practices beyond thought and conceptual thinking, intuitively feeling existence. In this are out of body auric experiences, the auric body travel while dreaming while attached by a psychic silver cord. How life as we know it is a school of suffering for growth towards higher existence beyond our incarnations of existence through reincarnation.

In order to grow psychically, one has to leave the highs and the lows of thinking in moodiness of euporhia and depression to that of the sound stable waves of inner composure and calmness. Our minds consist of electrical waves when kept level and balance exist for us in an inner peace with calm faith in the universal laws of karma where we can maintain a peaceful inner existence which induces our psychic abilities of telepathic hearing, clairvoyant visions and the psychometric ability to feel the vibrational frequencies of history in objects, places, things and people. And there is reading the Akashic Record which contains the knowledge of all history.

And T. Lobsand Rampa expounds on the act of giving, forgiving and letting go of anger and fear. This includes practices of breathing and balance of non-thinking that lets go of anger and emotional turmoils. To continue fear anger and anxiety is to run an engine in lower gear going the same speed.

There is mentioned self-hypnosis to the subconscious, to train our minds to do as we wish. The wisdom is in living in a peaceful state of kindness, tolerance, understanding and balance beyond all the petty concerns of the physical competition, of the constant clinging and aversions of the materialistic and ignorant. Generosity, agape, tithing to your causes are essential. I really enjoyed these spiritual principles. It makes me smile at the ignorance of the monotheists and Christians that condemn the occult, while these teachings endorse the only acts of receiving are through giving, an attitude and life of service to others.

There are no doctrines, no religious dogmas, but the endorsement to let people have their own philosophies, religions and doctrines, unless of course the reader is dogmatic about these teachings or any other he or she reads.

We use this text to teach a course on color therapy and how these vibrations affect the mind, body and spirit. I've never seen a more comprehensive book yet on the material and am hoping this will never go out of print!! We need it...
