College student 3 out of 5 stars.

This book does have good layout by using seperate chapters for the different systems and has abnormal findings with pictures in every chapter. But It is not detailed enough. I would sometimes find myself looking for more information because it doesn't go too much farther then describing something briefly. I would like to find a more detailed book but this is the one my nursing class required. And it has no glossary for definition of terms.

It's ok 3 out of 5 stars.
2 of 2 people found this review helpful.

Some of the questions in here are outrageous compared to what I read in the textbook. Stuff that was stated in only a sentence or two in the textbook would have really in depth questions in this study guide. I only use the multiple choice questions. The rest is kind of useless for me because we don't have anything other than multiple choice on our tests in class. A lot of times I don't even bother using this.

Kind of hard to understand 3 out of 5 stars.
1 of 1 people found this review helpful.

I have a hard time understanding stuff when I read this textbook for class. It's not very straight forward or clear and you have no idea what's going on. It also seems like there's a lot of extra information that doesn't need to be there. The only thing I like is that it comes in 2 separate books so it's easier to carry around and flip through without breaking the spine of the book.

Editorial Review:

The Study Guide contains over 500 pages of thoroughly revised review material including a wide variety of exercises and activities, Alternate Item questions to better prepare for NCLEX exams. Answers for all the exercises are printed in the back of the study guide to facilitate self-study.

PANCE 5 out of 5 stars.
10 of 11 people found this review helpful.

This is all I used to study for the PANCE and it was worth every penny. I read several reviews that were not recommending this book but I strongly disagree. I paid a lot of money and attended a course in Chicago and I actually got more from reading this book. To be honest I read the book before I attended the review and learned nothing new at the review. Save your money on the course and buy this book.

Editorial Review:

Developed and endorsed by the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA) and the Physician Assistant Education Association (PAEA), this comprehensive review book offers the most thorough preparation for the NCCPA examinations. A 300-question pre-test and a 300-question post-test which simulate the NCCPA exams and incorporate the PAEA's GRADRAT self-assessment exam are provided both on a bound-in CD-ROM and online at thePoint.

Helpful Resource 5 out of 5 stars.
1 of 1 people found this review helpful.

Awesome resource to use prior to taking the NLN Nursing Entrance Exam. Very easy to read and understand. The answer key is very helpful because it explains the correct answer. The review and/or helpful hints in each introduction prior to each section of the exam was easy to follow. I recommend this textbook to anyone preparing to take the NLN Nursing Entrance Exam.

RN Pre-Entrance Exam 3 out of 5 stars.

This book is really helpful, and it goes back to the basics, but the only problem that I have is that they do not give an explanation for the wrong answers in the biology section, other than that it is really helpful..

Editorial Review:

The Review Guide for NLN-RN Pre-Entrance Exam provides an overview of the math, science, and verbal content necessary for admission to AD and BS programs in nursing. Includes approximately 1000 questions and 3 practice exams in each of the three areas; math, science, and verbal.
