Not a good reference book 3 out of 5 stars.

If you're an experienced iMovie user wanting to learn FCE, then this book is not the best one. It's a useful tutorial book for a class, but simple references like creating slow motion clips, importing media from iMovie or iTunes, switching around clips, etc. are simply not easy to find using the index of this book.
I highly suggest Final Cut Express HD for Mac OS X (Visual QuickStart Guide) as a much better reference guide. And if you can find some audiovisual tutorials about FCE, those would work better for you than this book.

Still trying to figure this out 2 out of 5 stars.

The book would be good for someone who has started the programming of ABAP/4. However if you are a new comer to this you will find it difficult and having to flip to this chart on page ?? then to this chart on page ?? makes it even more difficult. If you want to learn the basics this is not the book to buy. After I learn somemore in the programming stage of my training I might make a new review.But if your a beginner to SAP as I am stay away from this for now!!

One of the best books on ABAP/4 . This is not one of those simplistic books that have large typefaces and garish pictures. Has all the technical details that will interest an experienced IT professional.

This sequel to "Graphic Gems" (Academic Press, 1990) and "Graphic Gems II" (Academic Press, 1991) is a practical collection of computer graphics programming tools and techniques. "Graphics Gems III" contains a larger percentage of gems related to modelling and rendering, particularly lighting and shading. This new edition also covers image processing, numerical and programming techniques, modeling and transformations, 2D and 3D geometry and algorithms, ray tracing and radiosity, rendering, and more clever new tools and tricks for graphics programming. I have two other iMovie2 books, but I put out the money for this one because not only does it contains quite a few other techniques not found in other books, but because the attached CD comes only with sample movie clips of camera and editing techniques discussed in the book. It also includes among other things shareware and demo software like Adobe After Effects, sound effect utilities, graphic converter, MoviEffects to use with QT movies.

I wouldn't say this is the best iMovie2 book, but the author does a good job outlining, laying out, and explaining editing procedures and techniques. It's not that iMovie2 is a difficult program to learn or use, but it's just that books like these provide insightful strategies that enable you to get more out of the program. I certaintly recommend this book for first time and intermediate users of iMovie2.
