Oh, so this is the UT2003 manual 2 out of 5 stars.

I purchased this "book" (actually, it is like a small magazine) because the booklet included with UT 2003 was woefully inadequate and nearly impossible to read. Frankly, I think game distributors are skimping on the manuals to try and make us buy more game-related goods. I don't agree with the practise. So far as I'm concerned, with I buy an expensive game, it should ship with it's own manual.

This game guide has over-head maps of all the levels, in case you are interested, but actually they are printed quite small and thus are not of much use. You have to squint to try to see the details. The maps need to be much bigger.

Basically, this guide is like a manual, standard stuff that doesn't really have much that will help you play the game better. Best to search out online guides for that.

I just wanted to say this, because I wanted to get the PC version but accidentilly got this instead, as their was no warning to what it was(Apparently, they have enlarged the cover shot though). However, I did look through it. While there are so many levels it can cover the endless stratgies for each one(look on the wep for those) it does give some of the major tips and secrets of the levels. Seems to be pretty good overall.

Cool UT book 4 out of 5 stars.

I got this book as a present from one of my UT buddies; needless to say, I have a bit of an advantage over him :-) The book is most useful when it shows you the secrets of all the levels; some are really devilish to find, but really cool. It doesn't cover any of the recently released levels, and I kind of wish that they had a corresponding webpage where they covered the new levels and the like. The rest of the information about the levels was a little bit confusing, but if you glance at the book while playing a level, you should be ok. The stategies they presented were very good, but most of them can be found on UT websites. Some of the information was a little bit off, but I didn't trip over it much. Overall, the book is well worth it.

I was extremely pleased at both the timeliness of the shippers response and the condition of the book. It is obvious to me that great care in packing and respect for the the book by the shipper was a primary concern! The condition of the book, as far as I am concerned, is near as perfect as possible. Again, thanks & it would be my privilage to deal with the shipper again...
