Review from my six year old daughter 5 out of 5 stars.
1 of 1 people found this review helpful.

This book was interesting. At the beginning she talked all about her lunch box, and she bragged about it too. I liked this book because it was funny. The words were not to hard for me to read.

I think lots of first graders should read this book.

Junie B., First Grader: Boss of Lunch 4 out of 5 stars.

Our 6 yr old granddaughter is a big reader now and loves the books and the series. Only objection I have is to using some words such as "stupid" which she is not allowed to use in her school.

Junie B. Jones, Boss of Lunch and reading entertainment 5 out of 5 stars.

I have read many of the Junie B Jones series. As a teacher, the students can relate to Junie's silliness and uncertainty. Even I laugh out loud while reading with the studnets and I really can't wait to see what she will be into next.

Editorial Review:

A Junie B. Jones Book, #19

Something very wonderful is happening to Junie B. Jones. And it’s called—hurray, hurray!—she’s getting to be a professional lunch lady! And that means hanging out with Mrs. Gutzman in the cafeteria. And standing behind the counter. And even wearing a real actual hair net! Who knows? Pretty soon she could be the boss of the whole entire lunch operation!

Confusing - in a good way! 4 out of 5 stars.
1 of 1 people found this review helpful.

I think that junie B. Jones realy made it sound like she was going to be the star of the play! But then everything turned around, when her part was picked she thought she got a dumb old boat. And then William sneezed in the middle of the show. It was confusing because too many things were going on!

This is a great book! It is EXCELLENT!! 5 out of 5 stars.

This book is about Junie B. Jones and a play. Junie is a ship in the play. The play was about Christopher Columbus and Junie says he didn't discover America. Read the rest of the book to find out what happens!

Editorial Review:

Ship Ahoy!

Room One is putting on a play. And guess what? It’s about explorers looking for the New World! And there’s ships and sea captains and everything! Plus here’s the bestest news of all—Junie B. Jones thinks she might be the star of the whole entire production! Only, sailing the ocean blue is not as easy as it looks, apparently. ’Cause problems keep on happening. Like the actors keep catching the flu. And bossy May keeps trying to take over the show.

Can this play be saved? Will the ships ever get to land? Or is Room One in for a disaster at sea that they will never forget?

Probably the Best Junie B. Ever 5 out of 5 stars.

Hands down this is one of the best Junie B. books ever. I would say it is tied for first place with my other personal favorite, Junie B. Jones is a Beauty Shop Guy. This one will have you laughing out loud non stop! We have the book, and the recording, and we have listenend so many times, we all repeat the funny one liners along with Junie B.-even my husband! "If candy corn isn't corn, then what kind of vegetable is it?" If you don't have this one in your collection, get it!

Editorial Review:

Halloween with Junie B. has got to be a scream! Get ready for a “Halloweenie” adventure with the world’s funniest first grader!

“Despite Junie B.’s ascent to the rigors of first grade, Park’s feisty, funny heroine retains her trademark use of language, mirthful malapropisms, and essential larger-than-life personality.”—Kirkus Reviews

“First grade offers a whole year of exciting possibilities for Junie B. . . . As always, Park is in touch with what kids know and how they feel.”—School Library Journal

It was a good book. I liked it. Other kids would like it I bet.
I would recomend it to people who like Junie B Jones. I love
Junie B Jones books. It is a good series.

This is a very funny book - a kid's review 5 out of 5 stars.
3 of 3 people found this review helpful.

I like this book because it is very funny. Junie B. Jones' class has pet day. Junie B. Jones doesn't know what to bring to school for pet day. Her grandma found a worm but she didn't want to bring it to school because it is slimy. Her grandma caught a fish from the lake. Junie B. Jones put it in a fish bowl. She wanted to bring it to school but she didn't. Junie B. Jones found something in the refrigerator. She decided to bring it to school. She brought it to school and it was a FISH STICK! I thought that was very funny. Junie B. was very glad. Do you know why? She was very glad because she got a prize and she got a ribbon. It says her pet was the "Most Well Behaved"! I recommend this book to others who like Junie B. books. I hope you enjoy this book.

Editorial Review:

There's going to be a Pet Day at school--only the rule is No Dogs! And

that's the only kind of pet Junie B. has! If Mother won't let her get a new

pet, then Junie B. will have to take matters into her own hands. Maybe a jar of

ants? Or a wiggly worm? Or--could it be--something even better? The world's

funniest kindergartner is back in her twelfth book!

This book is great!!!!! 5 out of 5 stars.
2 of 2 people found this review helpful.

This is a wonderful book, sure the grammar isn't very good but
that's what makes the book funny.I have all the Junie B. Jones books and love them all. Great for children who are just learning to read!

Story Line is Excellent, Grammar Stinks! 4 out of 5 stars.
1 of 1 people found this review helpful.

My son and I read One-Man Band this week. The story line is entertaining -- and true to Barbara Park's creative form; however, poor use of grammar ruined the tale for both of us. Yes, I know that the defiance of grammar rules is supposed to add to the humor of the story, but it was a stumbling block for my son and I as we tried to decipher Junie's comments. Young readers have enough trouble learning to read and write correctly without Barbara Park adding to the confusion. My solution? Keep Junie B. coming -- but without the grammar faux paux!

Editorial Review:

Go Room One! It’s time for the first-grade kickball tournament! Only, here’s the problem. Junie B. has hurt her big piggy toe and she can’t play on the team. So, now what? She definitely doesn’t want to be a cheerleader. But wait! Maybe she could be in Sheldon’s halftime show! Then all eyes would be on her! And she would be the star! Hurray! Hurray! Junie B. . . . in the spotlight. What could possibly go wrong?

Junie B.Jones came back to school and she forgot to do her home
work and the teacher called her up in front and told Junie B.
what she did for the weekend. I like this book because Junie B.
Jones gets a serprice coming for her. I like this book because
it's funny

Editorial Review:

Junie B. Jones has all the answers when it comes to cheating. It’s just plain wrong! But what about copying someone else’s homework? That’s not cheating, right? ’Cause homework isn’t even a test! And speaking of
tests . . . what if a friend shares an answer that you didn’t even ask for? Sharing definitely isn’t cheating . . . is it? Uh-oh. Maybe this cheating business is more complicated than Junie B. thought. Could she be a cheater pants and not even know it?

America's favorite spunky kindergartener is about to become America's favorite spunky first grader! Graduation day is about to be here, and Mrs. hands out beautiful white graduation gowns with the understanding that they must not be taken out of the boxes 'till graduation day to be sure they are kept clean.

Now, remember... we are talking about Junie B. Jones! What do you think happens? In short order, that gown will be a colorful purple and white. Of course, Junie knows how to solve her problems -- in typical Junie fashion.

Barbara Park has created another winner here, and your young reader will be thirsty for more, more, more Junie B. Jones!

Editorial Review:

All the children in Room Nine are excited when they get their bright white graduation gowns. Mrs. says to keep them in their boxes until the big day. But Junie B. Jones just can’t help herself. Then–uh-oh!–an accident happens! Can Junie B. find a way to fix things? Or will she have to miss graduation and stay a kindergartner forever?

Junie B. Is A Hit With My Three! 5 out of 5 stars.

Our children love all the Junie B. books. The Junie B., First Grader (At Last!) was a hit with all of them. Our son related to the story because both he and Junie B. were First Graders - At last! at the same time.
His two sisters have also enjoyed the world of Miss Junie B. and I know you will too! It is an added bonus when both brother and sisters share an enjoyment in reading the same books.

Editorial Review:

A Junie B. Jones Book, #18

Hurray, hurray for a brand-new school year!

Only, for Junie B. Jones, things are not actually that pleasant. ’Cause first grade means having to get used to a whole new classroom. And a whole new teacher. And a whole new bunch of strange children. But here’s the worst thing of all: when Junie B. tries to read words on the chalkboard, she can’t seem to see what everyone else is seeing! Is it
possible she might actually end up wearing glasses?

I bought this for my 3 year old son a week ago and I am now 37 weeks pregnant. This was a fantastic way of making the baby more of a reality to him by showing a baby inside Mommy's belly with a personality. He LOVES this book and has requested it as his bedtime story for the past 8 nights in a row. We totally scored big with this purchase and I highly recommend this book to anyone with a second child on the way.

Cute story 5 out of 5 stars.

This book is an excellent gift for a mom-to-be. Written from the perspective of the fetus, it is funny and touching. I presented it to my pregnant friend during her baby shower as a gift from her unborn child and she loved it!

Editorial Review:

“Ma! there’s nothing to do here!” complains the precocious protagonist of this rhyming tale set entirely in utero. It’s not exactly a scintillating experience spending nine months in your mother’s womb. You’re just stuck there at the end of that dumb bungee cord (a.k.a. the umbilical cord), with nothing whatsoever to do but slosh around. But, oh, the endless joys you have to look forward to as you listen to the tick-tock of ma’s happy heart clock and await that happy day when you finally come out to play.
