All of the books in this series are great. My son started reading these to do a second grade book report. He had to read them all after that first one!

Very Good 4 out of 5 stars.

My 6-year old daughter thoroughly enjoyed this book. She pays attention to the details to come up with theories about the mystery. I believe this helps her overall reading comprenhension.

Complicated boring book 2 out of 5 stars.

This book was not enjoyed. Lots of complicating details that just added up to boredom.

love the details! 5 out of 5 stars.
0 of 0 people found this review helpful.

The details are what our three love! It's great to read aloud and hear discussion about who might have done it and why. They trade theories and "supporting arguments" back and forth. A lively (dual) read for both 4 and 8 year-olds.

Editorial Review:

DINK, JOSH, AND RUTH ROSE are spending Thanksgiving in Plymouth, Massachusetts. They can't wait to see the sights and have a Thanksgiving dinner just like the Pilgrims would have eaten. Then the kids learn about a sapphire necklace that went missing on the real Mayflower. Could the 400-year-old treasure be hidden somewhere nearby? This exciting extension to the A to Z Mysteries chapter book series features more pages, favorit characters, a more complex plot, and a 26-letter message hidden in the art.

S is for Skeleton. . . .
It’s a bone-afide mystery at Dink’s school. Some sneaky soul has stolen the skeleton from the nurse’s
office! The principal promises free aquarium tickets to the savvy sleuths who can track down poor Mr. Bones. Soon mysterious clues are showing up all over the school. It’s up to Dink, Josh, and Ruth Rose to follow the clues and put those old bones to rest.

Dink gets five envelopes and the fifth one has nothing in it. Dink and his friends discover that the other envelopes have clues which leads them to solve the mystery of the empty envelope. What is so special about the fifth envelope?
I like the A-Z Mysteries because ordinary kids can solve big mysteries. Keep up the exciting mysteries Ron Roy.

I liked this book. My favorite part was when someone put the five envelopes in the fridge and pretended a dinosaur named Steggy did it. The envelopes had grape finger prints on them. You'll have to read the book to find out who did it!

Editorial Review:

E is for Envelope...Dink keeps getting envelopes in the mail addressed to

"D. Duncan." But the letters inside all start with "Dear Doris" and don't make

any sense! Josh and Ruth Rose think someone's playing a trick on Dink. But Dink

is sure there's more to it than that, especially after Doris herself shows up

and demands her letters!

Ron Roy Scores Another Hit! 5 out of 5 stars.
6 of 7 people found this review helpful.

My 9 year old daughter started reading these books about a year ago, and has now read every book in the series! She delights in every detail, from physical descriptions of the suspects to the personalities of the recurring charaters, and relates easily to the three kids who are the detectives. She can hardly wait for the next title to be released. This book, like the others, has a plot that is believable to its audience, encourages problem solving and critical thinking, and provides a trio of heroes that your own kids would like as friends. In this volume, the reader is exposed to a museum and information about mummies, as well as given a mystery to solve. Another delight for the 6 to 9 year old set.

Editorial Review:

M is for Mummy. . . .
It's Mummy Monday at the museum, and Dink, Josh, and Ruth Rose are excited about the new Egyptian exhibit. It features a child mummy in an actual tomb! But then the mummy is stolen and the tomb robbed of its treasure. Can Dink, Josh, and Ruth Rose unravel the mystery and return the mummy to its rightful resting place?

This book series is clever, and this installment upholds it's duty and more. Any true fan would love this book. This story is like the K and P books because it has two clear suspects and sticks to them. But get ready for a twist you won't soon forget and an ending you won't believe. I give it five shining stars.

A fun little mystery for kids, where the thief is the one not suspected until the last minute. The kid-detectives use realistic methods to get clues, and are able to catch the culprit with the help of their policeman-friend.

Could the two mishaps somehow be connected? And could Dink’s X-ray be a clue? It’s up to the kids to examine the evidence and find out in this exciting yet easy-to-read chapter book mystery.
