I understand that this book was based on a game, so I want to give it some credit for not being amazingly bad, but it wasn't actually very good. It was tolerable.

The storyline could have been better developed. Again, I understand this was based on a game, but that doesn't mean it has to only go by what happens in the game. The author could have gotten a little more creative with it.

There were points where the story was confusing and complicated in the beginning, but it got too rushed towards the end. There was a lot of time spent talking about Kakistos, who was basically a minor character, but not much time spent talking about Ethan, Cassandra, or even the First, all of whom should have had bigger parts in this book.

There were also some points where things just seemed to simple. When Buffy was looking for her friends in the alternate reality, she found them too fast. That may have been how the game unfolded, but in book form, it really made the story seem weak.

This book rates very highly on the 'I want to play one scale'. Whereas werewolves are designed as warriors, the werespiders are the regulators, taking on the tasks that the three primal forces of the universe have screwed up at. They serve all three and are dominated by none.

The alien perspective (spiders are a lot further from humans than wolves, reptiles or even sharks) is explored well. Werespiders aren't evil as such, just very detached and callous about others (if it's a choice between sacrificing their best friend or failing in their mission, well, time to look for a new best friend).

Their worldview is also explored with lots of interesting bits and pieces, such as the Ananasi-hunting monster stalking Australia and the dark fate of werespider metis (those with two shapeshifter parents) The retelling of world history is worthy of note, mainly because it's told from the point of view of the werespider goddess, Ananasa, who was actually there to witness it all.

Character templates, and non-player characters are also given (including the builder of the first human city and a collector whose hobby is the corpses of serial killers). Overall, a good, comprehensive book, and well worth a purchase.

Demon Hunter X details a lot of information for running a Kindred of the East campaign for Vampire. The Shih are well detailed as is Strike Force Zero, and one is hard pressed to choose which to play. Not everyone takes the Shen lying down, and both the Shih and SF0 are at odds on how to truly deal with these demons. A great opening story and lot of info on how the Shih and SF0 hunt down and destroy the Shen, this book is highly recommended to anyone even remotely interested in the hunters in the Middle Kingdom.

this is another must buy supplement for anyone wishing to play in the east. whether you play one of the shen or wish to play one of the hunters, demon hunter x adds a whole new dimension to gaming. when will white wolf get the hint and make KoE a division of its own.

Let me Just say WOW!!! First of all Demon Hunters are incredibly powerful. it has great describtions of the Shih and the Strike Force Zero(aka SF0). Both have intresting pasts and present about how they deal with the Shen>. And as an added bonus it has Great art work (even though a little graphic) but still "DA BOMB". Now if only they rest of the World of Darkness was Anime.....

Nuwisha are a blast to play, but if you're hoping for all you need to play them, this book is Necessary, but not sufficient. You're also going to need the players guide to Werewolf, since the Nuwisha book doe NOT contain all of their gifts. NOR does it contain creation rules. It does however, list their Totems, a few gifts, and Nuwisha Only merits and flaws. It also has their creation mythos, and a few secrets. AND AS AN ADDED BONUS, It has Old-man-manyskins in it. Yay, huh?

White-Wolf really did justice to every ones most loved and hated shape-shifters, the nuwisha. I really loved the art and information presented in whole! This book is a must for any white-Wolf RPer who enjoys to play a wild character!

These are the ultimate Ragabash of the Changing Breeds. Everything you possibly need to know about them is in this book, including ideas on how to sneak them into a werewolf pack.

It's a little skinny, and could use an update.

If nothing else, ask your GM to borrow Nuwisha gifts and traits for use with your Ragabash werewolf; they should mesh well.

Mix Up enviroment 5 out of 5 stars.

One another great hing about this book is that you can mix up a little the enviroment the players are used to play. Getting Vampire and Werewolf players to play togueter was a great idea, except for the fact that the vampire players were complaining that the "Lupines" were kicking their asses, but it was fun anyway. It's a great book.

Its fantastic to finally have a source book for the "forgotten" characters... the social outcasts and eyesores. These characters are the most challanging to play and this author brings new depth to role playing a pirah. James Moore's constant tongue in cheek humor keeps the book interesting and enjoyable. The new information available makes creating a "socially unacceptable" character much easier and offers many new avenues to choose from

A good story for those interested in The World of Darkness genre. James Moore adds elements from all aspects of White Wolf. Everything from Vamps, to Garou, to Mages. Throw in some Wraiths and an aspect of the Wyrm, and viola.... instant Hell Storm!
