A Good Mystery 5 out of 5 stars.

(8 year old reviewer) I really liked this book. It kept me interested until the end. THe best part was when the pups returned to the mother, but I won't tell you how that happens. You will just have to read it!

This is a great series! 5 out of 5 stars.

I like this book because it is an adventurous book and it is also a mystery. Dink, Josh and Ruth Rose help their friends by saving baby wolves from wolf-nappers. If you want to find out how they rescued the wolves and who took them, just read the book! The White Wolf is not the only good book in the series - all the A-Z Mysteries are good. There is one book for each letter in the alphabet. The first one is The Absent Author. Once you read that, you will want to read all the way to The Zombie Zone!

Editorial Review:

W is for Wolf. . . .
Dink, Josh, and Ruth Rose are thrilled to visit Wallis Wallace at her new cabin in the Maine wilderness. On their very first day, they glimpse a white wolf and her babies on a cliff. But soon after the kids spy the wolf family, the pups are wolf-napped! Can Dink, Josh, and Ruth Rose sniff out the culprits before the white wolf starts suspecting them?
“An appealing combination of intrigue, ingenuity, and good fun. A great recreational choice for newly independent readers.”—School Library Journal

IT’S A SNOWY December in Washington, D.C., and Dink, Josh, and Ruth Rose are there to see the sights. While they’re admiring the White House, they meet the president’s stepdaughter, KC, and her friend, Marshall. Soon, in the confusion of all the people decorating the White House for Christmas, the president’s dog, Natasha, goes missing! The kids set out to find her, but it’s not going to be easy. The area is still crowded with decorators, it’s getting dark, and all five of them risk getting caught in a monster snowstorm!

Daughter loved it! 5 out of 5 stars.
5 of 5 people found this review helpful.

I wanted to get a beginner's chapter book for my almost 6-year-old daughter. I thought about Junie B. Jones or the Magic Tree House series, but I was turned off by Junie's poor grammar (or at least the author's attempt to make her sound like a "real" 6-year-old), and by the Magic Tree House's female character being "dreamy" while her brother was "logical". This book managed to avoid those caveats, while still being an entertaining read for my daughter. I wasn't sure at first if she could follow a chapter book on her own, with illustrations only appearing every 3 pages or so, so I read her the first two chapters last night. This morning, the first thing she reached for was that book. Instead of getting up and watching Saturday morning cartoons, she sat in bed, ate a banana, and finished her new book. I couldn't ask for anything better.

Editorial Review:

A is for author.... Dink writes to his favorite author, mystery writer

Wallis Wallace, and invites him to visit Green Lawn. To Dink's amazement,

Wallace says he'll come! But when the big day arrives, Wallace is nowhere to be

found. The police think he just missed his plane, but Dink suspects foul play.

It's up to Dink and his two best friends, Josh and Ruth Rose, to find the

famous writer--before it's too late!

Dink, Josh, and Ruth Rose have done it again!
Only this time someone or something has captured poor Winnie, the zoo's main attraction and it's up to someone to find these thieves.
The kidnapper wants 1 million dollars or Green Lawn will never see Winnie again.

Will Dink, Josh and Ruth Rose be able to find the kidnapper or will they be too late to save her?

Who Stole the Panda? 5 out of 5 stars.

That is the question the three sleuths in this mystery must answer.

As always this series deserves high remarks and five stars. There are three children who solve mysteries in this series. They are believable and they are the type of children you want your child to know as friends. They demonstrate the qualities of tenacity, caring, problem solving and honesty.

These mysteries seem to be directed towards children who are about 7 to 9 years old. The reading level is on a lower reading level (2nd grade about). However, my son is 9 and still enjoys reading these books over again.

In this mystery the three must figure out who stole the panda from the zoo and why. They manage to do so and everything turns out alright in the end.

Well worth the money. Enjoy.

P is for Panda. . . .

the cash?

Who Stole the Money 5 out of 5 stars.
1 of 1 people found this review helpful.

This whole series, all by the same author, are just wonderful. They are written to the interest of a 3rd and 4th grade level. However, their reading level is more like that of a 2nd and 3rd grader. This means a wide range of children can read these books and enjoy them.

The three characters that solve the problems are the type of children you want your child to be friends with in real life. They exhibit positive character traits; such as honesty, problem solving, helping friends and more.

In this mystery they help figure out who stole the college money of a man that had been putting on a show with a robot t-rex.

A Book Review by Jenny C. 5 out of 5 stars.
0 of 1 people found this review helpful.

I read a book called The Bald Bandit by Ron Roy. It's about a bandit who robs the Green Lawn Savings Bank. The three detectives (Dink, Josh, Ruth Rose) solved the mystery. When a private detective named Reddy came to look for the videotape the three detectives decided to help him. Reddy said if they found the videotape they would earn a hundred bucks.

My favorite part of the book was when Dink, Josh, and Ruth Rose got the videotape and they watched the tape and they noticed it was Reddy who robbed the bank. When Reddy was at Dink's house ready to get the video, Dink hid it and gave him a tape of soccer. Ruth Rose sneaks into her house and calls the police. I think the thief was pretty smart.

I think the book was a perfect fit for me because I love reading mystery books. When I read this book at home I can't stop reading it until I finish.

Editorial Review:

B is for Bandit... The Green Lawn Savings Bank has been robbed! When a

private detective comes to Dink's door looking for the kid who videotaped the

crime, Dink and his friends volunteer to find him. After all, there's a reward!

But tracking down one red-headed kid isn't so easy, especially if he doesn't

want to be found. Can the trio find that kid--and his tape--before the bandit

does?

It is a really cool book 5 out of 5 stars.
6 of 6 people found this review helpful.

You should read this book. It is all about a racehorse, how he got lost and how they found him. It is a really cool story. You should read it sometime.
I'm 8 years old, my name is Lizzy, and this book is just the right level for me.
And I'm not going to give away the whole book to you, but it wasn't too scary that I didn't want to read it. It was just the right amount of scariness.

The Racehorse That Runs Away 5 out of 5 stars.

The racehorse that ran away was a good book. I liked it because it was great and wonderful. I like horses and I want to ride my own horse someday. Josh was funny because he kept dropping ketchup on his shirt.

I am in Kindergarten and my name is Grace.

Nice children's mystery! 5 out of 5 stars.
4 of 4 people found this review helpful.

My 5 year old son loves this series -- we read them as quickly as they come out. In this one, pets are disappearing -- but why? These are not exactly mysteries -- unlike, say, the Clue Jr. books there's no way for the reader to solve the crimes before the crooks are caught -- but they are interesting and fun to discuss, chapter by chapter, as the plot thickens!

Good Mystery 5 out of 5 stars.

What I like about the book is that the book has a lot pages to read and is interesting about A canary.
The canary is lost and there are three kids, Dink Josh and Ruth that found the canary.
The book is a good book for kids who like mysteries.
I like to read too much.

Dink, Josh, And Ruth Rose are back! This time, they’re off to a camp for detectives! The camp directors have set up a week of lessons in forensics and fun mysteries for the campers to solve. The kids are following the planned clues when they stumble upon a real crime. This exciting extension to the A to Z Mysteries chapter book series features favorite characters, a longer plot, alphabet clues, and a 26-letter message hidden in the art.

“I will be so sad when I have read Z, and there will be no more Dink, Josh, and Ruth Rose.”—Jack P.

“I think if you’re not that busy, you could do every letter again.”—Abigail D.

With the publication of The Zombie Zone in April 2005, the A to Z Mysteries series was complete. But, A to Z fans, no need to fear . . . the A to Z Mysteries Super Editions are here! The fans wanted more, and they’re getting it—more adventure, more illustrations, more Dink, Josh, and Ruth Rose—all in a book nearly double the length of standard A to Z Mysteries. The alphabet may be finished, but A to Z fun keeps on coming!
