Lacks Detail 2 out of 5 stars.

Sleepy Hollow Elementary is overcrowded so Mr. Morton's third grade class is relegated to a basement classroom that is rumored to be haunted and hasn't been used in about 100 years. Cassidy, Nina and Jeff have to find a way to live with their ghostly student companions, who want them out of their classroom and are constantly getting Cassidy in trouble.

I thought this novel lacked detail. It mentions a terrible occurrence happening in 1870; but doesn't delve into how these children came to be ghosts. This is an important element that should be included in the first book of the series not somewhere down the line. I found it a big let down!

Editorial Review:

The basement of Sleepy Hollow's elementary school is haunted. At least that's what everyone says. But no one has ever gone downstairs to prove it. Until now... This year, Cassidy and Jeff's classroom is in the basement. But they're not scared. There's no such thing as ghosts, right? Tell that to the ghosts. The basement belongs to another class--a ghost class. They don't want to share. And they will haunt Cassidy and Jeff until they get their room back!

Editorial Review:

Hollywood is coming to Sleepy Hollow! A big-time director wants to film a movie about ghosts in the third-graders' basement classroom. Jeff can't wait to see how a real scary movie is made. He wants to help out with costumes, props, and special effects. But the classroom ghosts want to help out, too. And that could turn this horror flick into a horrible flop!

Cassidy feels left out. She can't run or kick or swing a bat nearly as well as her friends, Jeff and Nina. Field Day is going to be a nightmare! And to make matters worse, Cassidy finds a creepy old doll in the school basement. She tries to hide it away, but it keeps coming back to haunt her. Even the classroom ghosts are scared boo-less! That's when Cassidy realizes that even though she can't catch a ball, she is really good at something - getting rid of ghosts! Ready or not, here she comes!

Book Review 4 out of 5 stars.

This is about three students, Jeff, Nina, and Cassidy, who all attend this elementary school. The school is haunted and their classroom is down in the basement. There is this new kid in their class who never leaves the room. Jeff, Nina, and Cassidy are determined to get to the bottom of things. Even if it means having help from other ghosts! This story has lots of plot twists that will keep students guessing what is going to happen next. I think that any child would enjoy reading this book.

Cool! 5 out of 5 stars.

The new kid cassidy's class is strange! He's see through. He floats over above his chair. And he never seems to leave the classroom. Could the new boy be a ghost?

Could the new boy be a new GHOST?Nina and her friends are afraid to find out. And so are the other ghosts! Could this mean more fun for the class in the basement...or more haunting?
