Mickey and Patch surprised me in this book because they know just what they want, and if they don't know, they will look for it until they find it. this book was really good, but i'm not surprised because j minter is a good author.

Mickey: Has been invited to a couple of colleges to speak about his art, but at the second college he tries to mix things up and things goes awry!

Patch: He and his girlfriend, Greta, are looking for the perfect college to attend together, but they want to be on opposite coasts! And when Greta runs into an old boyfriend, can their relationship last?

Jonathan: At the first college the guys visit, Jonathan gets to see his brother, who he hasn't seen in a couple of years. And now his nerdy brother is cool?

David: He really likes his girlfriend, until she starts to feel like his sister!

Arno: He falls in love. But of course it's not that easy with the Insiders!

THE INSIDERS series seems to be dragging out, but of course you still have to love them all! How could you not?

Editorial Review:

When it’s time to start thinking about college, which campuses do New York City’s five hottest guys visit first? Ones where the girls outnumber the guys, obviously. On a road trip to Vassar, Jonathan is astonished to discover that his brother, Ted, is now considered cool. Mickey decides to turn the camera on himself—sans clothing. Arno finds his first love . . . he just needs to figure out where she went. Patch is searching for the perfect college for himself and Greta—but are they destined to be together? And David finds an amazing girlfriend . . . until she moves in with his family. If getting into college looks complicated from the outside, just imagine how wild it is for an Insider!

Book Review
The Sweetest Thing

Flan Flood is your typical rich, beautiful high school freshman that lives in Manhattan, New York, which also includes parties every night, has closets full of designer clothing, and the greatest friends. But all that changes when she and her two best friends Meredith and Judith battle it out to win the heart of the schools star quarterback, Adam. When Flan's teen-starlet Sarah-Beth Benny friend hears about Flans crush on Adam she thinks it would be a good idea to have a costume party to get Flan more social with Adam. But all of that goes haywire when Flan and her friends spends the whole night trying to get Adams attention to get that one special kiss from their football prince.
I loved this book! I was completely drawn into the book and I could not put the book down until I had reached the last page. The author did an amazing job with every little detail of the book. I felt like I was in New York trying to help Flan with all the situations she gets herself into. This book is full of drama, guilt and of course secrets. I would recommend this book to anyone who doesn't mind getting lost into a fabulous book.

Editorial Review:

Flan Flood finally has her life in order. Her new, normal friends from school get along with her celebrity friends and she couldn’t be happier being Just Flan. But right when life is settling down, Flan’s friends all fall for the same guy: hot quarterback Adam whose smile is as winning as his throwing arm. And when Flan’s BFF, teen-starlet Sarah-Beth Benny, decides to throw a glam costume party, Flan’s friends each vow to kiss their football prince by midnight at the big bash. Suddenly, Flan finds herself in the middle of an all-out battle for Adam’s attention. Can Flan convince Meredith and Judith that girlfriends are way more important than any guy, or will Flan find herself dangerously stuck in the middle?

This a story about a girl whos a rich , priveleged and whos gone to private school her whole life till now. She decides she wants to go to public school for high school so she can just be a normal kid. At first when i read this I thought it would be just like all those other stories like this but i was wrong I soon felt like i knew flan for years. This is a great story about how bringing the rich and famous and ordinary world together can work out . Also the love plot is sweet but yet so signifacnt. This is a must read for all those starting or in high school.

Editorial Review:

Flan Flood is determined to be more than just Patch Flood’s little sister when she begins her freshman year at Stuyvesant High, a huge public school downtown. When she meets a new group of friends that could help her become a new person, Flan has to convince them that she’s just an ordinary girl, like they are. This becomes nearly impossible when her very not normal friends Liesel, Philippa, and Sara-Beth Benny move in! Can Flan keep the Inside Girls hidden, find a new high school boy to date, and get her new friends to accept her? Featuring Flan Flood, long a favorite character of the original Insider novels, Inside Girl offers a fresh, young, and girl-centric perspective that is perfect for early teen readers.

This is the fourth novel in the INSIDERS series, which has yet to disappoint! I love the crazy antics of the boys (and their girlfriends); I just wonder if there is really a group of New York boys this crazy!

Mickey gets into some interesting forms of photography -- put it that way! He even comes up with a crazy way to get all of his friends into it. David begins dating Philippa again, but then something comes out about her. Arno is putting all of his energy into being the Hottest Private School Boy (Who I personally think should be Patch, but what do I know?). Patch is looking for what completes him, which may by one of the many girls of his past. Can you guess who? Jonathan is going out with Flan (Where did her parents come up with that name?).

There are some very interesting things that happen to the boys, such as partying too hard (as usual) and some thievery. No one wants a backstabbing friend. Here's a clue: the person hangs out with the Insiders but is not well liked by them. Read the book to find out all the hot gossip on the hottest guys around.

Editorial Review:

It’s that time of year: one of New York’s premier magazines is compiling its annual “Hottest Private School Boy” issue. Jonathan, Mickey, David, Arno, and Patch all figure they’re shoo-ins, but will the competition to be chosen as the cover model tear the guys apart? Add to that a few twists and turns in their love lives, a visit from an internationally acclaimed photographer (whose specialty is nude crowd shots), and an invasion by a clique of Upper East Side It Girls, and the Insiders might find themselves clamoring for a way out.

Girls We Love Book Review 5 out of 5 stars.
1 of 1 people found this review helpful.

Have you ever felt like no matter where you are, drama follows you everywhere you go? Meet Flan Flood. An average New York City girl who just happens to be having a sweet sixteen party when's she's turning fourteen. In Girls We Love, J. Minter does an excellent job of pulling all teens into this girl's life. Between the parties, boys, and celebrities you can say it's anything but ordinary. With Flan's best friend from kindergarten, Liv coming to visit and Patch, her older, brother all caught up in his friends, Flan has no time for the constant worry about what her ex-boyfriend Jonathan is doing. With all that is happening will Flan's party be a success or a total disaster?

This realistic fiction novel is defiantly one of my favorites. I can relate to thing going on, like all the drama. But also there are things happening in Girls We Love that I love reading about because they interest me. Including the hot parties with celebrities and going shopping with your new movie star best friend. Overall I would recommend this book to anyone. I garntee you will fall in love with this book just like it did.

Editorial Review:

They’ve loved, lost, and totally obsessed, and now the Insiders’ girls are out for revenge… even if it means turning the Insiders into real boyfriends. Meet:
Flan—the youngest and the ringleader. She’s ready for Jonathan to care about her…exclusively!
Philippa—Mickey’s messed things up so many times, but he does love her. But can she turn him into the boy of her dreams?
Liesel—remember the girl from uptown who drove Arno crazy? She’s ba-aack.
Sara Beth Benny —she’s a star, and wants David to be one too. But can David fake feelings?!
And Patch’s mystery girl—He doesn’t even know her, but boy, does she know him…
Watch out! The Insiders may never look at each other—or girls—the same way again.

One of the best stories i've read! 5 out of 5 stars.
2 of 3 people found this review helpful.

For those who get tired of always seeing bitching stuff and the teenage problems from a girl's view, this is a change and its really addictive! I agree with the gossip girl writer, the only cure is more. I cant put down the book and i'm already craving for the next sequel, which unfortunately will only arrive in november. The story unravels the lives of 5 A list guys, who are almost perfect but are made to face up with the problems in their lives, despite their good looks and credit cards. Its a great teenage series!!!

Editorial Review:

Jonathan, Mickey, David, Arno, and Patch have it all: they've got rich parents, live in Manhattan's trendiest neighborhoods, and attend the best schools. But when the five friends enroll in a School-at-Sea program, how far will good looks, credit cards, and privilege take them? Not far enough! Three weeks o0n a luxury yacht in the Mediterranean should spell smooth sailing. But with Jonathan missing Flan, Mickey and Arno fighting over the same girl, Patch playing the hero, and David having a wild time of his own, the guys just might be ready for a little shore leave...

Broken promises 5 out of 5 stars.
4 of 5 people found this review helpful.

The Insider is about five boys that grow up together. They were a little gang and they did everything together. They made a promise not to go out with any girl that one of them liked, but when they were in high school they broke their promise.
The book is funny, easy to read, and very interesting. I like this book because it is mostly about teens and how they don't keep promises, and I can kind of relate to that.
I would like to recommend this book because once you start reading it you would not want to put it down.

Editorial Review:

A captivating, scandalous look into the privileged and turbulent world of five fabulous guys living in Manhattan's trendiest neighborhoods. Jonathan is the leader of the pack-but what will happen if the pack falls apart? Arno's way with the girls makes you wonder, can boys be sluts? David is known as the nice guy, but will he stay that way? Mickey is always in trouble, and Patch is just MIA. They've got rich parents, go to top schools, and have hip friends. With so many parties to go to, colleges to impress, girls to win over, and so much money to spend, who can keep track of it all? And can true friendship really shine through in the end? J. Minter's keen eye for urban teens, their dialogue, and the details of New York City's high life make this a guilty pleasure for readers of the Gossip Girl series and other glitterati novels.

Couldn't Put It Down 5 out of 5 stars.
3 of 3 people found this review helpful.

I have to say, as a fourteen year old who is going through an enormous amount of relationship trouble, it is finally a relief to actually see a teen book series that is from a guys point of view. I was a little iffy on starting to read the series, but after the first book I got hooked. In some ways, I think this one is even better. You find out a lot more about the guys and especially about Jonathan's family. Once I started reading it, I couldn't stop, and I guarantee that you won't be able to either. 'Pass It On' is one of the best teenage coming-of-age books I have ever read and I completely reccomend it to anybody who wants a guys point of view instead of a girls for once.

Editorial Review:

The party from the guys' point of view...

Rumors are spreading about Jonathan and his friends. Jonathan's dad seems to have lost all his money. David's dad is a sham. Arno's parents are splitting up. And if the parents aren't enough, the girls aren't making sense either. Who will hook up? Who will get dumped? And what happens when the guys betray each other? Find out in the next installment of The Insiders. Psst...pass it on.
