This is the standard reference on records management. It covers all the aspects of records management as presented in the ISO 15489 standards (and more). It is aimed at archivists and records managers. It presents the theory and praxis of modern records management in detail and gives references to all the relevant publications.

The book does not contain 144 pages but 318.

Sound and video tape archives are becoming increasingly important world-wide. As the commercial and non-commercial production of sound recordings increases, the need for preservation is being recognized in libraries, museums, radio and TV stations and university departments. The growth of interest in oral history and community records adds impetus to this need.
