Over the past 10 years when I have been out giving seminars on menopause and osteoporosis, and now on estrogen, women and men would come forward to ask me about the subjects they still perceive to be "taboo." Subjects came up about lack of libido, erectile dysfunction, sexual boredom in a long term relationship, masturbation, extra marital affairs, safe sex, safer sex, no sex----I could go on and on. And so in addition to the 35,000 questionnaires I had already used for my books on menopause and osteoporosis, I distributed another 6700 questionnaires about our midlife sex lives. The responses were illuminating, astounding, helpful. My responders were open, honest, and clear in their desire to improve their intimate relationships. I interviewed couples, singles, both gay and straight individuals. I interviewed women and men of many ages and in many stages of life.
Further, I ran focus groups in my home where the information flowed freely as each person present was aware that no one in that group would repeat anything heard there. Those interviewees, those present in the focus groups are represented throughout the book. They are real people, whose occupations and locales have been changed greatly in order to protect their privacy.
I am very proud of this book and have received letters, calls, and e-mails from women and men all over the world who felt they had found their way on the path to quality relationships after reading the book.
I hope "150 Most-Asked Questions About Midlife Sex, Love, and Intimacy"
will help you and make you happy, too.
