Not the best place to start 5 out of 5 stars.

Marshall Langer is one of the great writers on tax havens and offshore living, but a book on a specific country is not a good place to start. Begin with a more general book, like "How to Legally Obtain a Second Citizenship and Passport -- and Why You Want To" by Adam Starchild, and then move on to Langer's country-specific book once you understand the basic concepts and issues involved with getting a second passport and citizenship.

No point to the book as the deal is over 1 out of 5 stars.

The passport program that this book is about has been suspended, so there isn't a whole lot of point to buying the book anymore.

The Associated Press reported on October 12, 2001 that Grenada has suspended its program of allowing
foreigners to buy passports, saying the practice was too risky after the terrorist attacks in the United States.

``Grenadian passports can end up in the wrong hands and be used for purposes other than for that which they were intended,'' Grenada Finance Minister Anthony Boatswain said.

The program drew criticism even before the Sept. 11 attacks on New York and the Pentagon, with some saying the practice allowed criminals to effectively adopt new legal identities for a price.

Grenada also recently was placed on an international blacklist of countries considered uncooperative in fighting money laundering. It was unclear whether Grenada's decision to suspend the economic
citizenship program was related to the blacklisting.

Officials say the suspension will cost the island between $1.8 million and $2.2 million yearly

Excellent book at a very reasonable price. 5 out of 5 stars.

This is a lot of book for the price. I have visited Grenada on many occasions and have seen the interior of this fabulous country as well as sampling the excellent shipwrecks off her shores which include the world-class wreck of the Bianca C.

There are very few places in the world where an aroma permeates the aircraft shortly after it has landed and long before the doors are opened. In Hong Kong, that aroma is always far from pleasant. In Grenada, it is the very opposite. It is here that the scents from various natural spices hang in the air and combine to give the islands a fragrance that even the world's finest perfume manufacturers have failed to bottle. Of course, as the body's senses become used to these naturally occurring smells, one ceases to notice them. Thankfully, the same cannot be said for the countryside and natural beauty of the islands themselves.

With churches that would not look out of place in an English countryside, green lush vegetation, warm seas and azure blue waters, these islands are the stuff of dream holidays and this book depicts everything the reader will wish to know in excellent fashion.

Altogether, eight eminent contributors have combined their efforts to provide a book which contains just about everything you might ever want to know about the Spice Islands. This includes the history, culture, spices (of course!), industry and, would you believe, also includes mention of Grenadian beauty Jennifer Hosten - crowned "Miss World" in 1970 by none other than the late, great, Bob Hope. Like I said, just about everything you might ever want to know.

With photographs on almost every page, some historic and others of the finest modern quality, this is a book to captivate the reader who, having read it, will simply want to visit - something that could not possibly disappoint.
