This book shows us a kitty named Jasper and he is out at the store trying to decide what to buy with his birthday money. It has adorable illustrations that are good at catching the attention of children and keeping them focused on what is happening in the book. In the end Jasper decides to take home a stuffed likeness of himself!

My 2 1/2 year old daughter loves any Kipper book. But I especially like this one since sharing is a problem. Like the colors and pictures too.

Pig, a friend of Kipper the Dog, drops off his little cousin, Arnold, for Kipper to babysit. In trying to entertain Arnold, Kipper offers Arnold choices of his favorite toys with which to play. However, Arnold--all the while sucking his thumb--chooses something unexpected. This is a great little story for little ones. The illustrations like all of the Little Kippers series are cheery and fun.

If your child enjoys watching Kipper on tv they will love the liitle kipper books. Especially Splosh! It is a sound effects book about the rain. And everytime in the book we get to the part where the rain drips drips drips off the hedgehogs nose and than the hedgehog says Ah-Ah-Ah-Tishoo, my two year old son laughs everytime. You will love them all.

My 2-1/2 year old twins really love Kipper. It began with the TV shows (which they adore and beg for EVERY NIGHT) but they love the Kipper books too. Gentle characters and appealing themes. They like this one because it's been a rainy winter in San Francisco and they can relate to the umbrella and rain. They are fascinated with themes of WET v. DRY so this book helps with those notions. I also think the girls enjoy this book because of the charming non-busy pictures, and the simple themes that they can understand. Kipper is great!

This is a fairly simple book that my 3 year old likes, but my 5 year old finds a little too simple. It does have cute illustrations and would be a good rainy day book.

I spend my days with my son watching Nick Jr. When they started showing the Kipper series, I was estatic! So was my son!

So, of course, when I see Kipper books in the store, I buy them if I have the money. So far, there hasn't been a Kipper book that I haven't thoroughly enjoyed. But honestly, if my son loves it, then so do I.

It's hard to believe that something so cute can teach a toddler so much. Kipper is the type of character that can get us Americans thinking, mainly because much of the 'lil guy's dialect is so much different than ours.

An eerie enchantment to a Classic 5 out of 5 stars.

I picked this version because of the illustrations and it became a part of my personal library some years back. Every year in the fall, I return to Sleepy Hollow and to Icabod's misadventure with the Hessian. A unique tale by Mr. Washington and I especially enjoy the mysterious ending, leaving the reader to wonder the were abouts of Icabod Crane and the Headless Horseman.

Whenever I venture at twilight out in to the forest for a walk in the moonlight, I am often reminded of the Legend of Sleepy Hollow and it's local ghost habitant who haunts the town riding in the shadows with it's pumpkin head by it's side.
