My son, Zander, loves the colorful illustrative pictures in this book. Easy for him to understand and read. We love to read and recite together the alphabet.

This cheerful book features appealing animal characters, bright artwork in Scarry's early painterly style, and simple sentences that teach the alphabet.

Another great Richard Scarry book. This is a collection of several stories all featuring Lowly Worm and his friends. My favorite story is the Talking bread. Little Flossie visits her dad at the bakery and loses her doll. She doesn't notice that it's missing until she bites into a fresh loaf of bread! My son likes Mr. Fixit and Absent-Minded Mr. Rabbit. Richard Scarry books always have so many interesting illustrations that it seems like there's always something new to look at. Great book to read with your kids.

I bought this book for my 2 year old Busytown lover. The book has simple stories that are a good next step after baby books. The stories are longer and the pictures keep their attention. We read it so often that we will surely need to purchase a new copy when we are ready to learn to read.

"Early Bird" by Richard Scarey was my 25 year old son's favorite book as an infant. He delighted in learning the names of the different animals and in the story itself. Now that he's going to be a father I can think of no other book that he would like to treasure and share with his new baby. I am glad that it's back in print so I can send it to him as soon as possible so another generation can enjoy the delights that Early Bird brought him.

This was one of my favourite books as a young child and I am really pleased to be able to find a copy to give to my own daughter for her 2nd birthday. I think the pictures are great and the book has a good message about making friends. I still get a warm feeling when I think of this book.

As an adult trying to learn French this is a great aid. It is as much fun as it was to read Richard Scarry"s books to my children when they were young.

My wife speaks French, and is teaching me and my 2-year-old son to speak French as well. I have many boring adult French dictionaries. None of them are anywhere near as good as Richard Scarry's Livre des Mots. This book is packed full of words. And the pictures make learning them more fun, and more memorable too! Simply put, this is the BEST FRENCH DICTIONARY EVER! And the only place I have ever found it is here. Thanks, AMAZON.CA!

When I was little, we had several Richard Scarry compliations, and as soon as we had our daughter, I knew I had to have some Richard Scarry for her. This board book is perfect. At only 9 months old, she does not have the attention span for books with, well, plots, but the brilliant colors and classic Scarry details keep her occupied long enough to read the simple text on each page, and the board book format allows her to turn the pages herself without concern that she'll accidentally tear something. Meanwhile, the text itself is fun, with a lovely cadence that I enjoy reading again and again. One of our faves - we read it every day, and as soon as our daughter sees the book, she starts bouncing and pointing.

My kids really enjoy this book. Mr. Frumble was always my favorite character from Richard Scarry's books and he is the central character in this book.

The only drawback is that we only read it at Chritmas time.
