Editorial Review:

Characters based on James Patterson's international bestsellers When the Wind Blows and The Lake House are re-invented in Maximum Ride and are launched on the ultimate action-packed adventure full of humor and suspense.

Fourteen-year-old Maximum Ride, better known as Max, knows what it's like to soar above the world. She and all the members of the "Flock"--Fang, Iggy, Nudge, Gasman and Angel--are just like ordinary kids--only they have wings and can fly. It may seem like a dream come true to some, but their lives can morph into a living nightmare at any time--like when Angel, the youngest member of the "Flock," is kidnapped and taken back to the "School" where she and the others were genetically engineered by sinister scientists. Her friends brave a journey to Death Valley, CA, to save Angel, but soon enough, they find themselves in yet another nightmare--this one involving fighting off the half-human, half-wolf "Erasers" in New York City. Whether in the treetops of Central Park or in the bowels of the Manhattan subway system, Max and her adopted family take the ride of their lives. Along the way Max discovers from her old friend and father-figure Jeb--now her betrayed and greatest enemy--that her purpose is save the world--but can she?

This book is a definate page-turner. I didn't want to put it down! I think Cisco handled her mission well. This book teaches that everyone can change, and to give everyone a chance. Even Caitlin the "horse killer" can turn her life around

This book is my fave! 4 out of 5 stars.

This book is great! Cisco is sent to a boot camp on earth to help a horse-killer named Caitlin. It's hard, but Cisco succeeds. If you like the other Teen Angel books, you'll love this one.

It is a grate book to keep a girl from comiting suicide. 5 out of 5 stars.

I loved the book Love Without End.It is probably the best book I have ever read.I think it reminds parents that when someone dies that you should pay alot of atention to the kid whose brother or sister died because if you don't then they could start hanging around with the wrong people and might comit suicide.

Where's the rest of the series? 4 out of 5 stars.

Hey~I read this series in 7th grade, I will now be going into 11th, and I haven't found a new book in the series! Help! I love Cherie Bennet because she tells the truth. Her newspaper column for teens used to be in my local paper, but halfway through the year they discontinued it. I was mad because I liked how she made her point, blunt and to the point. I really wish if anyone had any news on if the series ended or if there are more books that you could tell me. Thanks.

Cherie, your a pretty good writer, except, some of the things you put in there are not bibilicaly correct.God created angels, before he created the earth or man.Other than that, your book was ok

Story line well visualized 4 out of 5 stars.

This was the first book that I read in the Teen Angels series. I thought it was well written as well as well researched. I was surprised to see that this book dealt with real life issues (like peer pressure, having sex, drinking and smoking, as well as judging others on their appearance)todays teens deal with everyday. I want to thank the authors for showing todays teens that there are many ways to get out of uncomfortable situations. I would also like to congradulate them for writing about things that really matter.

This book was wonderful 5 out of 5 stars.

Editorial Review:

My Teen Angel draws on the personal tragedy of the author and 12 other bereaved families who have suffered the loss of a teen child. The book addresses specific topics such as normal grief responses, the stages of grief, dealing with the holidays, sibling survivors, on-line grief resources and remembrance tokens and rituals.

It is a piognant book about how quickly our lives can change; the difficulties we have keeping up with the change, and how we can learn to live again.

A great (but campy) teen romance book 5 out of 5 stars.
7 of 8 people found this review helpful.

Okay. So I really love this book. I remember reading it in eight grade and not being able to put it down and now almost fifteen years later I still enjoy the book. If you like Judy Blume you'll love Pilcer's Teen Angel!

Great book unless you're a prude 4 out of 5 stars.

I bought a copy of this about 20 years ago, when I was 13. My mom picked up it, flipped through a few pages, and spotted some of the dirty language and jokes it contains. She dismissed it as a "crotch novel" but allowed me to read it.

I re-read this one at least once a year and have done so for the last 20 years. It is so much more than a crotch novel!

Not for the faint of heart: these characters are 14 years old but talk filthy, drink, steal, lie, have sex (or talk about it a lot) and do all of the things most people think young girls shouldn't do (but end up doing at some point anyway). You'll grow to love every one of them, especially Sonny, the book's protagonist. Sonny is smart, funny, awkward, alternately shy and obnoxious and will take you back to that time in your life when you thought your world was going to end because your breasts didn't develop fast enough. Author Pilcer captures it honestly and unsparingly.

Bittersweet! Cynical! Honest!

My copy is so well-thumbed that I no longer loan it to anybody, for fear it will fall apart and I won't get it back. Out of print but well worth tracking down a copy! And not just for teens, either.

Great,meaningful book 5 out of 5 stars.
1 of 1 people found this review helpful.

This is a very, excellently written book,(I congratulate the author on such fantastic, writing skills!). This definately a page turner, I read this book in one afternoon, i couldn't put it down! This book teaches you that there is a purpose for everything, although, sometimes it takes awhile to figure that purpose out. This also teaches you that there is good in every, decision , and that childhood is precious. This book tells you that you should not try to destroy your body, but rather to use it for good cause. In conclusion this book contains many lessons, which cost some people their lives or which takes, much of the population to learn, at the later-part of their Earth-lives. I recommend this to all generations, and many kinds of people,(especially those who believe in angels!).

It is totaly incredible.Splendiferous writing skill. 5 out of 5 stars.

Well make room on 1st place for this one, because no way are you going to find a better book girls!!!!(<;

Love Never Dies is one of the best books I have ever read. Nicole is sent down to earth to save Petunia from ruining her life, and Nicole knows that she is in for a mega hard assignment, and to make it worse, she is falling for an earth-bound guy....a very touching book with characters that many can relate to.

I Loved this book 5 out of 5 stars.

This book is great! Nicole is sent down to earth to help Petunia, who wants to have a baby! Nicole knows the assignment is hard, and she isn't sure if she will be successful. In the meantime, although she swore herself she wouldn't, she's falling for an earth-bound guy. It has a very suprising ending...

An awesome series 5 out of 5 stars.
0 of 0 people found this review helpful.

I loved Nightmare in Heaven (Teen Angels, No 5) by Cherie Bennett and Jeff Gottesfeld. I think it was an outstanding book, as well as the other books in that series. I just recently picked up all six of the Teen Angels Books at the library, and I read them all and loved all of them. For two or three days I was completely engrossed inthese remarkable books. I went back to the library upon completing the books, and I was incredibly disappointed to note that only those six books were available. I think this whole entire series is outstanding, and I highly recommend it to any teenage girl, whether this is your "type" of book or not. As I said, I absolutely adored the series, and I strongly encourage Cherie and Jeff to continue using their apparent talent in these books. As a "book-aholic" I absolutely have to know what is going to happen to Nicole, Cisco, Melody, Scarlett, and all the others. Please don't let me down!!!!!!!! I love these books, and I believe that Cjerie and Jeff are incredibly talented writers. Whether they choose to continue this series or choose to use their talents on other stories, I wish them all the best!!!

Editorial Review:
