Excellent Book true to the Word! 5 out of 5 stars.

Well written and easy for anyone to understand. Organized religion is way off. You need to read the Bible. Richard points out the true facts not Myths.

Complete Idiot's guide to the Last Days 4 out of 5 stars.
1 of 1 people found this review helpful.

There is no perfect church denomination, or congregation, nor is this book perfect. There are several gaffes, such as the statement that Jacob (Israel) had ten sons. In fact, he had twelve. Looking beyond those minor glitches, Richard Perry has written the most well thought out book on the Day of the Lord (Which is NOT the sabbath), including Revelation, that I can remember reading. I thought so highly of it that I ordered four more copies which I gave to my (adult) children.

Editorial Review:

Get ready for Judgment Day.

For centuries, humans have dreaded—and anticipated-- the end of the world. These fears— fueled by natural disasters, famines, world wars, and the writings of people like Nostradamus and Jeane Dixon—have left us with more questions than answers. In The Complete Idiot’s Guide® to the Last Days, Richard H. Perry goes to the definitive source on the subject: the Bible itself.
• While the book is as exciting as an action/adventure novel, the author’s primary source is the Bible, and he guides his readers to an understanding of the Last Days by using related Scripture
• Covers Bible basics and the Signs of the Times
• Includes timelines of every stage leading up to the Last Days and after

OK, but... 2 out of 5 stars.
80 of 84 people found this review helpful.

This book is fine for people new to the topic. It details how events in past lives affect what's happening in the current one. Has only a smattering of info about life BETWEEN lives. Also tells of famous cases historically. But if you've already read very much on the subject, read Journey of Souls by Michael Newton (and see the reviews), which tells ALL about life between lives.

Let the journey begin... 4 out of 5 stars.

As someone who deals in life, death, and quality of life issues on a daily basis... I have always been fascinated by what lies beyond. This book took me deeper than I have been before and led me to think about issues in a different light.

I have always wondered why some people are born into luxury, and others famine- some into health, others in bodies that can't even last through childhood.

In seeing that these circumstances could be the result of our own choice, for a spiritual goal, It helped me to deal with my everyday frustrations about the inequalities we see around us.

This book was fasinating, and thought provoking.

Editorial Review:

What happens during the space between lives? Dr. Whitton and Joe Fisher explore the often elusive periods between incarnations, basing their work upon 13 years of research and more than 30 medical case histories and drawing upon the revolutionary technique of hypnotic regression. A book that lives up to it's title 5 out of 5 stars.
26 of 26 people found this review helpful.

Waldron's book is titled "The End Times Made Simple," and for the most part he demonstrates the truth of that title. I have to add the caveat that understanding the end times will never be as simple as many other biblical doctrines. However, in this book, Waldron shows that the end times don't have to be as hard to understand as we tend to make them.

He begins the book with some simple principles of interpretation that are very helpful. When reading the bible we should read the clear before the difficult, the literal before the figurative and the general before the detailed. Such simple advice will go miles in helping us understand prophecy. For the most part, people who want to understand the end times run straight to the books of Daniel and Revelation, two of the mmore difficult, figurative and detailed books in the bible. Although he didn't state it this way, one of the strengths of the amillennial position that Waldron espouses is its emphasis on interpreting the prophetic books in light of the rest of the bible, rather than the other way around. Waldron's three simple principles of interpretation help the reader do this. The bible is full of prophetic material, which, if read first will give the student of bible prophecy a trajetory for reading books like Daniel and Revelation.

From there, Waldron goes on to show the two-age view of world history and it is at this point that he shows the beautiful simplicity of God's prophetic plan. He spends a good deal of time describing this and comparing the various end-times views with this model. His exposition of Revelation 20 is a particular strength in this regard. In my opinion Waldron proves his case when he states that the amil view is the biblical view.

The latter part of the book answers many of the knotty questions surrounding prophecy such as the relationship of the church and Israel, the intermediate state, heaven, hell, eternal punishment and things like this. In doing this he covers most of the bases on issues that come up.

I am thankful for this book because it is scrupulously Biblical. It is unfortunate that those who hold the amil position are often dismissed in evangelical circles. Books like this one need to be widely circulated so that the church can see that the amil view (which is the dominant historic view of the church) is clearly taught in the Scriptures. That is not to say that there are no problems or issues that can't be debated. However, those who write amils off as "non-literalists" or as those who don't take the bible seriously will have to reconsider their view if they read books like this one.

Editorial Review:

Rapture?A  Pre-Trib?A  Post-Trib?A  Millennium?A  Confused? You should be!A  In today's Evangelical Christian world, eschatology a€"" the study of the "Last Things" - has been turned into a sort of pseudo-science with a plethora of authors claiming to know exactly the scenario of events that are to take place just prior to the Lord Jesus Christ's return, as well as what the eternal state will be like.A  Often, these authors come to rather bizarre and unbiblical conclusions. Piece by piece, Samuel E. Waldron strips away years of false teaching and faulty exegesis thrust upon the church to reveal what the Bible, in its own simple but profound way, says about what will happen at the end of this present age.

Dominion by C. Peter Wagner - is a book for the times we are now in. If you are a believer or someone wanting to explore a deeper relationship with God by understanding God's timing for your life. This book has helped me to answer questions or dare me to seek God more with what I have come to know, believe and experience from God's move in my life on a deeper level.

I highly recommend this book to ministry Leaders and every believer wanting to experience God on a deeper level. Sheila Moore - Baltimore, MDDominion!: How Kingdom Action Can Change the World

Editorial Review:

Jesus has mandated his church to actively engage in transforming society on earth--"Thy kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven." But when societal issues and problems loom large, it can seem an impossible task. Offering solid teachings on apostles and prophets, spiritual warfare, the church in the workplace, and much more, C. Peter Wagner shows readers just how kingdom action can change the world. With a sense of mission and urgency, Wagner explores the biblical roots of dominion theology, the views of great Christian thinkers through the ages, the ways Christians are working it out in their lives and on the job, and what each part can do when brought together through the operational power of the Holy Spirit.

Really Explains 5 out of 5 stars.
6 of 6 people found this review helpful.

This book while a little frightening, I liked. It is true, we plan our free time with more thought than where we will be for eternity. Most of mankind has the "I will worry about that another day" mentality, myself included for sure.True none of us will turn into saints overnight, but thank God he is not asking us to do that...really it is so simple, accept Christ as your personal Savior and trust him. Of course that does not mean we can go out and do as we please with the"Christ has saved Me" thought either. It means that we should think before we act, show kindness and mercy, forgive others etc..I am sure there are some wonderful people who will die with no sin on their souls and they are truly blessed, but for the rest of us I think what Erwin Lutzer wrote is be the best you can be here, do things to please God, you may not die sin free, but because Christ has paid for our sins we will behold the face of God through his mercy and grace. What I also read gave me a little more comfort. I had read both "23 minutes in Hell" and "A Divine Revelation of Hell" and in both those books the people who had these experiences both stated that "demons were tormenting the people in Hell". According to this author, they "do not torment" rather "they are tormented". You might say why does that matter. It matters to me because those books (however much the authors truly believe they were there)portrays God and Jesus as malicious , or at least it seemed that way. Both people who found themselves in Hell stated that they were so upset and had so much compassion for the people doomed to Hell, yet Jesus has kind of a "Oh Well" attitude...not the Jesus I believe in, sorry it is hard for me to believe that my GOD is a vicious, vengeful entity who enjoys nothing more than tormenting people. We need to pray, God does listen to prayers and God can change whatever he wants. He will ultimately do it his way (let's be real, we should give him advice on how to run the universe? look what a mess we made on this tiny little planet). I would be a little frightened if God needed us to help him out here, but if we pray for change God will help us. Excellent Book, almost makes me want to pack my bags.

Cloaked in mystery and shrouded in secrecy, ten ruthless men comprise the "Inner Circle" of the Illuminati conspiracy. In this explosive book, based on over nine years of intense, investigative research, Texe Marrs exposes the diabolical Plan which these evil men call their "Great Work." He unmasks their occult religion and discloses how this hidden group meets privately behind closed doors and issues strict orders to a network of agents and associates spread throughout the globe.

The Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), the Russian KGB, and British Intelligence also work for the Inner Circle and enforce its directives. Presidents, prime ministers, and dictators alike bow to this hidden group and plot together for World Government.

Circle of Intrigue reveals the shocking truth about the World Conspiracy and warns of the cosmic destiny of this murderous clique of super-rich conspirators. Will their despicable plot succeed? Have they decreed bloodshed for America's future? Will you end up one of their victims?

This book opens your eyes to the reality we live in, everyone should read it and know that this is real.

Read the Book! Don't Believe the Critics! The story is true, I know Choo personally. 5 out of 5 stars.

Buy the book, it is a must read for all Christians. To get more information, you can review her Text/Video/MP3 on the SpiritLessons ,Com website.

The testimony of Choo Thomas is true. I have seen it touch many lives, your can read testimony after testimony of people who have been affected by the book (ChooThomas ,Com) This is the Good Fruit from the Lord.

Choo has been given a message to the Church: "THE BANQUET IS READY, BUT THE BRIDE IS NOT". Her accounts of heaven are consistant with Scripture.

She did NOT write the book for $$Money$$, she's the most generous, giving and humble person I know, who lives a very simple life.

The Lord has chosen the small and despised things of this world to confound the wise and learned, which is why she was shown these revelations.

She did NOT say that non-tithers go to Hell, but she was shown that those who steal from the Lord of their tithes and offerings are DISOBEDIENT Christians, as it states very clearly in Malachi 3:8 that these people are cursed (look it up for yourself).

She does NOT proclaim Works over Grace, but has been shown very clearly that those Christians who obey the Lord are blessed and those who disobey the Lord will reap death, as it says numerous times in the bible.

Pride + Bible knowledge will get you as far as it did with the Pharisees. (Saying foolish, presumptuou, religious statements like, "It is not lawful to heal on the Sabbath", "no prophet can come out of Nazareth", "You Can't eat fish in Heaven", "Jesus would never show someone that their parents were in Hell")

Jesus showed Choo her Mother and Father in Hell, so that she could know that no matter how good you are, without Jesus as your savior, that is where you will end up. There is nothing cruel about showing her the Truth.

How DARE the critics say that she is demonicly influenced, they should beware of what Jesus said to the Pharisees "Those who blaspheme the Holy Spirit will NOT be forgiven!" May the critics who were NOT shown Heaven stop attacking the one who was, who's testimony is consistant with numerous other testimonies of those who have seen Heaven. Those who claim to know God have always attacked the Lord's prophets, from the Old testament, to Jesus, the Apostals, the early church, Martin Luther, up until today.

Buy her book, and find out for youself why people are so divided on the subject.
-----------------
To the supporter and the Critics

Anyone who receives a prophet because he is a prophet will receive a prophet's reward...

He who listens to you listens to me; he who rejects you rejects me; but he who rejects me rejects him who sent me.

I know my sheep and my sheep know me, they will never follow a stranger; in fact, they will run away from him because they do not recognize a stranger's voice.

Don't be surprised if you are hated by the world - they hated me first. You are ready to kill me, because you have no room for my word.

Be careful, or your hearts will be weighed down with dissipation, drunkenness and the anxieties of life, and that day will close on you unexpectedly like a trap. For it will come upon all those who live on the face of the whole earth. Be always on the watch, and pray that you may be able to escape all that is about to happen, and that you may be able to stand before the Son of Man.

Accusing someone is a serious thing to do, not to be handled lightly, not for the immature, and not to be done without the prompting of the Holy Spirit. In scripture it was handled by the Apostles, by seasoned men and women of God. But even the disciples, as show in the Gospels, misjudged people (Mark 9:38). When you accuse another person without the prompting of the Holy Spirit, you'll be in danger of the trap of the enemy, who greatest weapon is using Christian to accuse other Christians, and cause division. Many times, in the name of "defending the truth", we are often serving the devil.
Take a strong warning from Philip Elston, who had a vision several years ago in which he saw the Lord standing with His arms outstretched. Soldiers in blue and gray uniforms were marching past Him on either side, and were laying their bloody swords on His arms. The Lord resolutely looked into the eyes of each one, saying, "No one who has their brother's blood on their sword will be used to build My house."

level headed reading 5 out of 5 stars.
6 of 7 people found this review helpful.

simply outstanding! this book deals with the book of revelation and "end times" stuff related therein, with sobriety, sanity and a truly God honoring, Christ honoring manner and message. The author recognizes the need to understand revelation according to it's literary type and according to it's first century context as well, while yet recognizing that it is meant for all christians at all times. The author has truly done his homework for this book and handles the scripture with integrity and care. In this book, you will get background information on the book of revelation, differing interpretive methods, and a section by section running commentary/exposition. This book aims to help the reader make sense out of revelation by exploring what it most likely would have meant in the context of when and where revelation was written originally, and then at the same time showing how this meaning transposes to christians of all times and places. If you are steeped in the left behind series type of belief, please consider this book by Craig Koester as an alternative viewpoint. Thanks to the author for giving laypeople a solid, sane and scripturally honoring book on revelation! Also very helpful and sane treatments of the book of revelation are: Breaking The Code by Bruce Metzger: The Throne, The Lamb and The Dragon by Paul Spilsbury and: Return of The King by Vern Poythress.

Editorial Review:

Here is a readable, reliable guide to the book of Revelation that thoughtfully engages the questions people most often ask about this difficult book of the Bible.

Craig Koester provides sound, informed commentary on each section of the book of Revelation, drawing on the best recent scholarship and contemporizing his discussion with references to events like the siege at Waco, the phenomenal sales of the Left Behind series, and the use of Revelation in hymnody and art. Based on two decades of teaching Revelation to seminary students, pastors, and lay groups, this finely tuned discussion strikes an ideal balance between taking the text’s first-century context seriously and making Revelation relevant to twenty-first-century readers.

Notable for its clarity and insight, Revelation and the End of All Things makes an excellent resource for church, group, and personal Bible study.
