Editorial Review:

Third grade brings lots of surprises, but one thing hasn't changed a bit--Harry and Sidney are still sworn enemies. And their relationship only gets worse when Sidney accidentally kills Harry's pet spider. But Harry comes up with a horribly funny way to get revenge during a class trip to a creepy copper mine.

Horriable Harry in Room 2B is my favorite book. Not only is it a book that i have grown up with, it is also an interesting and enjoyable book to just sit down and read. From the funny stiches he gets himself involved into, and the "double revenge" that he puts upon Sidney, this book has always made me giggle. If you arn't sure if an older kid would like it, let me tell you this, im 16 and Horriable Harry in Room 2B is DEFINTALY my FAVORITE book!

This book is so funny I'm going to cry!! This book is the best book you could ever get! You will love it! In the hilarious story, there are five funny people. There names are Harry, Mary, Song Lee, Cindy and Doug. Harry does such mischievous things! I would recommend this book to younger kids who love funny books! You will have to buy this book or I will buy it for myself!!

Doug discovers that though being Harry's best friend in Miss Mackle's second grade class isn't always easy, as Harry likes to do horrible things, it is often a lot of fun.

Horrible Harry and the Green Slime 5 out of 5 stars.
3 of 3 people found this review helpful.

This book has four chapters. In the first chapter the class picked secret pals. In the second chapter the principal found a cigarette under a cafeteria table. After that the class drew posters about the bad effects of smoking. In the third chapter they read Charlotte's Web. They put cobwebs all over the school. In the last chapter Harry taught the class how to spike their hair. My favorite chapter is The Demonstration. Why? Because I would like to give a demonstration to my class. I think other kids my age will like this book because it has many funny parts.

Horrible Harry and the Green Slime 5 out of 5 stars.

Horrible Harry and the Green Slime is about Harry and his class needing to do a science experiment. They had to show their experiment in front of the class. Harry made green slime and the kids thought it was cool. Then Harry gave it to the librarian who gave it to her husband because he loves science. I would recommend this book because Horrible Harry is always mischievious and that makes reading the story fun and interesting.

Editorial Review:

Harry leads a mission to place cobwebs all over school, shows the class how to make green slime, and stages a "deadly skit" that has everyone on the edge of their seats .

This book is cool. Horrible Harry is horrible because he does horrible things like putting frogs in girls' hair. Horrible likes horrible creatures, too. He gives his teacher a rocking chair with spiders on it. You should buy this book because it is a very interesting book.

Great book and series of books for the younger reader in the family. Also a great way to get that younger person interested in reading.

Editorial Review:

It's Christmastime, but with Miss Mackle in the hospital, no one feels much like celebrating. Maybe Harry can think of a way to cheer up Miss Mackle and put the holiday spirit back in Room 2B.

Editorial Review:

Miss Mackle's class is learning about their ancestors, and everyone just found out that Ida's great-great grandmother sailed on the Titanic-and lived to tell about it. Miss Mackle decides to take the class on a riverboat ride to help them imagine what it was like to travel on the high seas like their ancestors did. Harry and his friends are so excited-it's going to be the perfect field trip. All aboard! Room 3B is setting sail!

Horrible Harry Goes To The Moon 4 out of 5 stars.
2 of 2 people found this review helpful.

Harry, the main character, is in the third grade. His class is studying about the moon. Harry finds a used telescope that is for sale and his class decides to raise the money to buy the telescope. Once they raise enough money they are going to have a moonwatch. Harry has a surprise for everyone. Harry helps his classmates feel like they have really been to the moon by using his imagination.

This book could be used in the classroom during a science class or with a math class. The book also teaches social skills. The class learns to work together to accomplish a common goal.

This book was extremely entertaining. I was able to get my 8 year-old son to read it and it is hard to get him to read anything. Harry shows that by using you imagination you can do anything you put your mind to.

Editorial Review:

When Harry finds an ad in the paper for a used telescope, Miss Mackle suggests that the class raise money to buy it. The telescope will make their moon study unit even more exciting! Once they get the telescope, the class can have a nighttime moonwatch. But Harry wants to do more than watch the moon-he wants to go there! Can Harry really take a trip into outer space?

In this latest installment to the popular classroom-based series, Harry and his classmates are sick and tired of being stuck indoors by the rainy weather. That is, until Harry decides to solve the mystery behind the locked closet. Along with Doug, Song Lee, and the rest of the class, Harry begins to investigate. Review by Brendan P.S. 39 5 out of 5 stars.

The book Horrible Harry and the Dragon War is great for kids because everyone needs to understand forgiveness. First Harry and Song Lee both wanted to do a report on dragons. But Harry told Song Lee her dragon looked stupid. The lesson is you're supposed to forgive when the other person is sorry. If you're interested in the Horrible Harry series check out other books like Horrible Harry and the Mud Gremlins.

Editorial Review:

There's a war in Room 3B! Horrible Harry and Song Lee are in a fight, and nobody in Room 3B is happy. Harry and Song Lee have been best friends since kindergarten. Song Lee always laughs at Harry's jokes, they both love gross things, and they even got married on the playground in second grade. But ever since Miss Mackle let them work together on a project about dragons, Song Lee hasn't spoken to Harry! Will someone wave the white flag soon and end this war over . . . dragons?

Adventures in elementary school similar to mine 4 out of 5 stars.
4 of 4 people found this review helpful.

Harry is a boy whose ambition is to be a great scientist. His red curly hair is a distinctive feature and he is an example of the type of child that seems to be found in every second grade class. While his intentions are good, he always seems to be in the wrong place when something goes wrong. Hence his is tagged with the "horrible" prefix.
There are four adventures in this book. In the one that gives the book its' title, Harry's class acquires an ant farm for study. When a small number escape, Harry is ingenious in capturing them without injuring them. The second story describes the effort the teacher makes to teach the children how to square dance. As is typical of second grade boys, most have no interest in dancing with girls. However, Harry is interested, especially when it is Song Lee, his favorite girl in the class. In the third story, the class has a fish tank and someone turns the temperature up so that one dies. Harry is blamed for this, but of course he didn't do it and the culprit is discovered. The final story is about the class photograph and the antics of the photographer in trying to get the children to smile for the photos.
Elementary school is an adventurous time in the life of a child and this book contains four adventures that are very typical of what happens. We did not have an ant farm when I was in elementary school, but each of the remaining three things happened when I was in elementary school. For these reasons, I recommend this book for young children.

Editorial Review:

Harry is back, along with Miss Mackle and the entire class of Rooom 2B. Harry's name always spells trouble, but no matter what he does, it's always hilarious. "Room 2B is every child's dream."--School Library Journal. Illustrated.

Horrible Harry review 5 out of 5 stars.
4 of 4 people found this review helpful.

As an elementary teacher, I have a great love for children's literature. I choose Harry Horrible books frequently in my classroom. I read this book to my students at the beginning of the school year. The adventures of Harry and his friends throughout the Horrible Harry adventures are engaging its readers. These are some of the first chapter books that they pick up. It is a great simple chapter book to help hook your students into reading. They will relate to Harry and his friends, and find that reading is funny. I recommend this book to everyone.
I found that this book was funny and suspenseful altogether. My students were begging me to read more. In this book we find Harry wearing a mini-microscope necklace to school. Horrible Harry tells his classmates that they can use during recess time to find a secret mushroom kingdom. However knowing the playground rules, will Horrible Harry and his buddies break the rule and outside the fence to look in the mud? The author engages the readers in suspense, climax, and the issue of right and wrong.

Editorial Review:

When Harry comes to school wearing a necklace, the whole class is intrigued. Harry opens the necklace and reveals a mini-microscope&150perfect for looking at the mold experiment Room 3B is working on! Everyone wants to try it, so Harry promises to show them a kingdom of mushrooms at recess. But there is one catch. They will have to go outside the playground fence, which means breaking a school rule. If they follow Harry, will they ever be able to face Miss Mackle again?
