Look for me by Moonlight- By Mary Downing Hahn 5 out of 5 stars.
4 of 4 people found this review helpful.

First of all, I have to say this is an excellent book. It's about a girl who feels quite left out of her family life, because her parents are divorced and they have both remarried, and her dad has a kid.
She's staying with her dad since her mom and stepdad steve are in Italy for the summer. While there she meets a handsome stranger. (Actually a vampire by the way.)
Things spiral out of control as it gets worse and worse with Vincent (stranger). Eventually, she can confide in a friend, and it has quite literally a killer ending. (hint hint)

Editorial Review:

They call the big old inn Underhill, and it sits on the coast of Maine--an imposing sight. looming out of the desolate landscape. The locals say the place is haunted, and to sixteen-year-old Cynda, arriving to spend the long winter months with her father and his second wife, the stories just add to her feeling of isolation.

But when the mysterious, darkly handsome Vincent Mortanos arrives to stay at the inn, Cynda is mesmerized, His charm and sensitivity are irresistible; his attentiveness constant Cynda is sure she's in love. Daring to hope that the older stranger shares her feelings, Cynda is innocently blind to who he really is--or to the terrible danger of coming under his spell. . .

When I bought Down a Dark Hall I knew it was going to be interesting. Louis Duncan is one of my favorite authors. Durring Down a Dark Hall a 14 year-old girl named Kit is chosen to go to the private school Blackwood School for Girls. Durring her time at Blackwood some unusual things happen to her and the few other girls that are there. Kit runs into some problems while being at this school, some of which she doesn't know what to do about. Ever since Kit has been at the school she has had a weird feeling about it. She's not sure what it is but she does know that it isn't good. The biggest problem at the school is when she is sleeping. Soon she becomes too scared to sleep but she has no choice but to fall asleep. The other girls that are at the schools are having similar problems but none of them want to face Madame Duret the school boards leader. This is a intereting book that combines mystery with common real life problems.

Editorial Review:

Why does the exclusive boarding school Blackwood have only four students?

Kit walks the dark halls and feels a penetrating chill. What tterror waits around the next corner?

Shattered Mirror Review 5 out of 5 stars.
0 of 1 people found this review helpful.

The Shattered Mirror was an exciting book. I could not stop reading. I just kept reading and reading. Even when I was supposed to go to bed I still read it because you wanted to know what happened next. The only part about the book that I did not like was the ending. It shocked me what happened. Shattered Mirror is about a girl name Sarah whose family are witches including her that hunt vampires. She was sent to a new school and meets two brothers and sisters, Christopher and Nissa. They are vampires but they don't feed on humans. Later on Sarah finds out that Christopher and Nissa are related to Nikolas. Sarah's family has been trying to hunt him down and kill him for centuries. But Nikolas always escapes from the witches traps. One night Sarah got invited to a party, but she didn't know that it was a trap. Only does she know that there were going to be vampires there but also Nikolas too. So now she can try to finish him but her family doesn't know that she is going to the party. Sarah's life is in danger now with all those vampires there and nobody backing her up. Will one of her sister's or her mom come and save her or will Christopher or Nissa? What will happen to Sarah?
I rate this book 5 stars!

Editorial Review:

Sarah Vida is a witch and a vampire hunter — and a loner. Christopher Ravena is a vampire trying to pass as a normal high school student who wants to know Sarah better. Drawn to him despite her better judgment, Sarah’s forced to admit that there’s room for gray in her otherwise black-and-white world of good versus evil — until she meets Nikolas, Christopher’s twin and one of the most hunted vampires in history.

Dying for a kiss 3 out of 5 stars.
4 of 4 people found this review helpful.

Cory Brooks has a crush on Anna Corwin, the new girl in school. She's the most beautiful thing he's ever seen. But there's something not quite right about Anna. She always seems to be disappearing. She wears old clothes. And the newspaper says she's dead. Cory's friend Lisa Blume thinks that Anna is a ghost. If she's right, Cory might be the next person in Shadyside to be dead.

This is the first Fear Street book ever. I didn't really like it. R.L. Stine definitely improved on the rest of the series. Anyway, some parts of the book were interesting. The prologue really wants to make you read the book. But once you get to the end, you realize that the prologue completely threw you off to the big surprise.

Make sure to look for Cory, Lisa, and Cory's friend David making guest appearances in other Fear Street books. Two of them are 'Missing' and 'Broken Hearts.'

Editorial Review:

FEAR STREET -- WHERE YOUR WORST NIGHTMARES LIVE...

The new girl is as pale as a ghost, blond, and eerily beautiful -- and she seems to need him as much as he wants her. Cory Brooks hungers for Anna Corwin's kisses, drowns in her light blue eyes. He can't get her out of his mind. He has been loosing sleep, ditching his friends...and everyone has noticed.

Then as suddenly as she came to Shadyside High, Anna disappears. To find a cure for his obsession, Cory must go to Anna's house on Fear Street -- no matter what the consequences.

Anna may be the love of his life...but finding out her secret might mean his death.

Mildly Amused.. at the comment ( not the book the books are incrediable.) 5 out of 5 stars.
3 of 3 people found this review helpful.

ok to start i must laugh in the face of those who insist on commenting on how bad, "curruptive" , and "steering off the right path" these books are. ITS CALLED ENJOYMENT PEOPLE! fiction!!!!! just because a 14 year old like myself picks up one of these books and enjoys it does NOT mean he/she will turn to wicca ways. i am a cristian! my mom has no problem buying these books for me and even she understands why i read them. hello? because reading is good for you. and opening up your mind to things like wicca can help you understand people are differnt and have different views and even help ground you to your own. so if anyone out there insist on bluntly stating how awful these books are please realize.. you can have you own opinions and views.. but no one hear really wants to hear them.
theres my blunt statement for ya'. have a nice day.

Editorial Review:

Morgan and Hunter are growing closer, and Morgan is discovering more about witchcraft and her powers. She knows that a great battle is to come, but there is a more immediate threat. Morgan senses something emanating from her ex-boyfriend Cal's old house, and she isn't sure what it is. Hunter keeps having accidents, and it becomes obvious that someone is out to do him harm. Clearly, they both need to be on their guard. But is their enemy a human, or a witch?

"This delectably dark pair of novels [Sweep #1 and 2] brings a supernatural spin to classic teen issues . . . . Both books end on cliffhangers, fanning what will surely be an already keen desire to learn the whole story." (Publishers Weekly)

Demon thief 4 out of 5 stars.
4 of 4 people found this review helpful.

Surprised as a was this book, the second of the serie, had another main caracther, I got the point. In this book you learn more about the world of the Demonata, through another view.
Like the first one, this book also has a slow start. But once it has started, it never really stops. This just is a great book. Even better than the first!

Oh! Quite a Thriller 4 out of 5 stars.

Cetainly, if I like it you'll like it too.

One of the best books I've ever read! 5 out of 5 stars.

Demon Thief is about a teenage boy named Kernel Fleck who grew up in a big city with his little brother Art and his mom and dad. One day he wakes up and his brother Art is missing. Then a portal opens up above his bed and a demon appears and kidnaps him. The next day he reappears in his bed with his brother Art. His parents are so scared they flee the city with Kernel and Art, moving to a small country town far away from the big city.

When school starts in the town, Kernel has to go whether he wants to or not. Shortly after school starts, his parents decide to leave on vacation, leaving Kernel and his brother with a neighbor. One day when he's at school an old woman shows up and summons a portal to the Demonata universe, unleashing demons upon the school children. One of the demons steals Art and runs back into the Demonata, forcing Kernel to chase after him.

Once Kernel lands in the Demonata he finds a group of humans calling themselves "The Disciples." They are demon hunters and Kernel must join forces with them to find his little brother Art. Shortly after entering the Demonata, he notices he has certain powers. One of them is being able to open a portal any where at any time to any place using floating light fragments that only he and a few other people can see.

Kernel and the Disciples chase the demon that has Art all the way to a castle in the Demonata. When they get there a demon master comes out to meet them. A demon master is a king of demons and is more powerful than a normal demon. This demon master is called Lord Loss and he says that for Kernel to get his brother back, Kernel must find out the name of the demon thief who stole Art.

Lord Loss teleports Kernel, and a few of the Disciples, into a giant maze where Kernel must find the demon thief, and find out his true name. Kernel finds the demon thief and guesses his name, but he guesses wrong. Lord Loss reveals the demon thief's true name: "Kernel." Kernel had stolen Art from the Demonata, while Kernel was asleep, because he wanted a brother, but Art is really a demon.

Kernel goes home to find out that his parents have moved on and tried to forget about Kernel leaving. But when Kernel shows up, they don't know how to deal with it. So soon after Kernel's reappearance his parents hint that they don't want him, and that they wish he had never come back. So Kernel takes the hint and leaves to go back to the leader of the Disciples. The leader tells Kernel that Kernel is one of the pieces that make up the Kah-Gash. The Kah-Gash is the one weapon powerful enough to destroy the demons forever.

Editorial Review:

Kernel Fleck has always known he's weird. He sees lights. Strange, multi-colored patches of light, swirling through the air. But it's not until a window opens into a demon world, with horrific consequences, that Kernel discovers his powers. As a Disciple, his mission is to hunt vicious, powerful demons to the death...

Murphy's review 4 out of 5 stars.
0 of 0 people found this review helpful.

I really like this book because of the mystery and the betrayal and also the dark things that happen. In the book there is a example of betrayal between the two families because the Feirs light a huge fire
at the Goodes, house and believe it or not the Goodes and the Feirs use to be friends.

This book takes place in Massachusetts where two families the Goodes, and the Feirs have been in a battle for years. There had been a great fire that had taken two special people away from William Goode. One was his wife Martha Goode ,the other was Susannah Goode, his daughter. Now William seeks revenge on Matthew and his whole family.

I recommend this book to anyone who likes mystery and horror books and R.L Stine books. There is a second book but I have not chosen to read it because it gets slow at the end and they talk about the same things over and over.

Editorial Review:

Nora knows the secrets behind the horrifying things happening on Fear Street and reveals the dark legacy that marked the start of the terror three hundred years earlier, when a young girl was burned at the stake.

First book in the Demonata series.

Grubitsch "Grubbs" Grady goes to live with his Uncle Dervish in a creepy old mansion after his parents and sister are torn to shreds by an evil demon named Lord Loss and his familiars, Vein and Artery. Grubbs witnesses the gory scene, but escapes by tapping into a magical ability he never knew he possessed. Once in his uncle's house, Grubbs learns more than he ever wanted to know about the Grady family curse, which involves werewolves, demons, and chess.

Editorial Review:

From the international multi-million selling author DARREN SHAN comes a new character, a new scenario, a new set of horrors. LORD LOSS will be devoured by avid Shansters and tingle the spines of many new fans. "The door feels red hot, as though a fire is burning behind it. I press an ear to the wood - but there's no crackle. No smoke. Just deep, heavy breathing! and a curious dripping sound. My hand's on the door knob. Inside the room, somebody giggles - low, throaty, sadistic. There's a ripping sound, followed by snaps and crunches. My hand turns. The door opens. Hell is revealed." When Grubbs Grady first encounters Lord Loss and his evil minions, he learns three things: the world is vicious, magic is possible, demons are real. He thinks that he will never again witness such a terrible night of death and darkness. !He is wrong.

If you want to find out more, read this book.

Editorial Review:

It began as an innocent prank. Call someone on the phone, shake them up a little with some sexy whispers and then hang up. But when one of the numbers is on Fear Street, readers can be sure there is more than "innocence" in store! Original.
