In Secrets of Antigravity Propulsion, physicist Paul LaViolette reveals the secret history of antigravity experimentation--from Nikola Tesla and T. Townsend Brown to the B-2 Advanced Technology Bomber. He discloses the existence of advanced gravity-control technologies, under secret military development for decades, that could revolutionize air travel and energy production. Included among the secret projects he reveals is the research of Project Skyvault to develop an aerospace propulsion system using intense beams of microwave energy similar to that used by the strange crafts seen flying over Area 51.

Using subquantum kinetics--the science behind antigravity technology--LaViolette reviews numerous field-propulsion devices and technologies that have thrust-to-power ratios thousands of times greater than that of a jet engine and whose effects are not explained by conventional physics and relativity theory. America's military aircraft industry was forced to grow at an incredible pace during World War II. At the beginning of the conflict, the nation's air arms were out-matched by better-performing Axis aircraft. It was the development, often in secret, and subsequent performance of America's fighter aircraft that helped turn the tide of the war.
This book focuses on those American fighter projects of WWII that never reached combat forces, or only in a very limited manner. The book illuminates little known or minimally documented aircraft and projects that significantly advanced fighter design but never went into full-rate production and deployment. The standard types are also examined to illustrate the state of the art at the time, the American posture and capabilities, goals set by national and military leadership, and general factors affecting the course of development for classes of fighters. Hence, this work follows the overall development of American fighter aircraft, but emphasizes those little-known projects that matured to the point of significant design development such as mockups, wind-tunnel models, and especially those yielding flying prototypes. Also includes dead-end variants of service types, those only exported after US evaluation, and aircraft that entered service in only small numbers before being overcome by more advanced models or the end of hostilities.

This is the most informative book on gear cutting that I have ever read. Even though the "Machinists' Handbook" covers gears in more precise mathematical detail, this book was written to educate the hobby or amateur machinist on how to both design and make several types of gears (spur, worm, bevel). The author educates the reader on gear theory, and then on how to make the gears on inexpensive hobby lathes/mills. In addition, he covers how to make gear cutters inexpensively, and use them to make the gears. The language he uses is simple and concise, yet he covers gear theory enough so that the reader has advanced knowledge of the fundamentals necessary to design thier own gears and gear trains.

I have no negative criticism to offer of this book - it was exactly what I was looking for, and my money was well spent.

Gears in one form or another are part of most mechanisms, but they are by no means as simple as they may appear. This book explains simply and comprehensively the underlying theory involved, and in its second part, how to cut gears on a lathe or milling machine.

Be prepared to spend tons of time reading, answering multiple choice questions, hunting down answers in the back of this clumsy oversized book. It is too much of a pretty good thing. Needs reworking and a good editor to trim it down and make it more user friendly. It has more words in it than the book Becoming an Emotionally Focued Couple Therapist and duplicates lots that is in that book. They need to redo this and its companion as a set. Right now it is only the covers that go together.

For me, this book supplied the logical missing piece after finishing the EFT Externship and beginning the supervision process. The book enabled me to reinforce on my own and at my own pace the steps, stages and interventions that I learned in the group context. Using this valuable tool, I was able to slow down and clarify the parts of the model which had been unclesr to me previously. The chapter on Impasses in EFT was an especially nice bonus. I purchased the MERM and the Practice Problem manual and used it for my exam prep. It starts at a review level much more fundamental than what is required for most folks, but good to get you back in the swing of things if you've been out of practice for a while.

I used the planning guide in the front of the book for my prep and condensed their 14 week program down into 7 weeks. After practicing Consulting Engineering for 5 years, I spent 8 years working for a Temperature Control contractor and got really rusty on the calcs. I joined a firm again in the fall and signed up for the exam. I borrowed someone's copy of the NCEES practice exam and between these materials and that exam, it's all the prep I did. I passed on the first attempt.

You will see people with a ridiculous amount of materials on exam day, I took this book and my ASHRAE books (I took the HVAC depth exam) and it was everything I needed. The prep gets you familiar with the Tables and text, it's all that's needed for the exam.

Exam day convenience and familiarity are just as important as the review process. With only 6 minutes per problem, you had better have your road map quickly and this reference does just that.

Several other folks at my firm have past editions of this and refer to it from time to time. Every person from every discipline in my exam had the appropriate version of this manual for their discipline. I highly recommend this reference!

Fantastic book!! It has a permenent home on the coffie table. I'm already collecting enough old bikes to urk the misses! The book is realy worth the money and you'll read it all the way through in the first sitting, I did!I hope there's a second edition in the works too!!!

Really fun book. Full of projects and enough information to get you started on them. My only warning: The book won't really teach you to weld, and you won't be able to do any of the projects if you can't weld.

It's a fun book but I had higher expectations hoping it would bring bicycling to the level of Jesse James and choppers. But it's nothing more than welding scrap (crap) together.

Thanks to the length of time this book has been available and the frequent revisions to the copyright, it continues to get bigger and better as time goes on.

My bookshelf has at least 5 of those revisions that frequently get utilized . Each revision builds upon the prior publication and expands on the detail they provide.

This publication represents an established reference standard for the HVAC/R Industry. It is especially valuable because of the extent of the different technical topics presented within its covers.

Some have tried to copy the format and the content but still fail to match its quality and level of professionalism.

This book is really a disaster for whom who want to learn somthing from HVAC/R.It's full of controversies(not their typo),full of headlines not much of a detail.I do not understand how come a book with 18th edition still making basic mistakes like saying thing cotroversial to each other.I had to buy another book from Whitman Johnson and Tomczyk.
