An Academy and Tony Award nominee and a 2007 recipient of Golden Globe, SAG, and Television Critics Association Awards for best actor in a comedy, Alec Baldwin is one of the best-known, most successful actors in the world. His relationship with Kim Basinger, the Academy Award–winning actress, lasted nearly a decade. They have a daughter named Ireland, and for a time, theirs seemed to be the model of a successful Hollywood marriage. But in 2000 they separated and in 2002 divorced. Their split---specifically the custody battle surrounding Ireland---would be the subject of media attention for years to come.

My Grandson loved this book and I can see why. It is written by an educator (O'reilly was a History school teacher) who knows how to explain complex material to children in a simple to understand style. O'reilly also has a Harvard degree and has a quick mind and wit that helps add to the enjoyment. This book, in the hands of a less talented person could be very boring, but it's not...it's great for the children for whom he wrote it!

Dear Barbara... I'm dealing with a (possible) psychopath male, co-worker. A friend told me about your book and I read it in one evening! I've sent a letter to Oprah (I'll share at the end)... wanted you to know, yesterday I had courage to finally stand up to this co-worker; I'm shaking in my boots; can hardly breathe and am constantly warding off tears, but by golly I am NOT going to be treated like this any more. Being he's in a position of authority and I'm a widow; I was in fear of losing my job, based on what he could do; I am not taking it anymore and told him so last night. Here is what I sent to Oprah.. Dear Oprah: Please read "A Dance With the Devil" by Barbara Bentley. I just finished... it tells of her marriage to a psychopath. I've heard the expression; never knew I had several in my life, including one now. Oddly enough the first was my (now) ex-son-in-law. The one now is a fellow here at work that I work close with; however he is not my direct. I'm not having a relationship with him. He just needs to have someone to mess with and he's chosen me. Like the dog he kicks, then pets? The reason this is important to me? This woman, Barbara Bentley, almost lost her life. This behavior is more prevalent than people realize. Because I live in Pollyanna's village [sic] I have always believed when bad things happen in friendships/relationships... it must have been something I could have prevented... reading the book, I realize I am a true target to this type of person. This book was very useful to me. I am a health information management student planning to enter a graduate health administration program. I took the class and this particular book was the text. Our instructor is a lawyer and runs risk management at our university hospital. The text further explained basic legal priciples and related them to health care. The text is easy to read and gives several references to actual documents.

Pozgar's book is organized by legal topic and cites relevant case law in all instances. It is an excellent overview of American law as it applies to the health care practitioner or organization. He has taken a topic that it difficult to communicate and made it very enjoyable reading. Students will find it much easier reading than most graduate level texts.

I am using this book in my Maters program. So far it seems easy to understand and use. This is one book that I will keep and be able to use in my office. It is a good all around book for administrators as well as first time supervisors.

Several chapters, such as the one on the spine, lower extremities, skin, and pulmonary system are, indeed, quite well-written and fairly easy to follow.

The chapter on upper extremities, however, is simply in deplorable shape.

Moreover, the AMA guides did not do a good job of explaining when it is appropriate to use a certain method and when it is not. in many cases, the evaluator is not sure which method to use, even after a careful reading of the guides.

The overarching philosophy of the Guides is not explained as well as it should be.

All in all, however, a vast improvement over the much more difficult to use fourth edition.

needless to say, a physician using this book needs both an instructor and an appropriate patient population to refine his/her skills as a disability evaluator.

This author has no clue. He thinks everything is going to work out just fine if you follow his simple advice and are a straight-shooter. Ask any dad going through a child custody case, things can go from OK to Hell in a matter of mimutes. I didn't find a single thing worth underlining. A better child custody book is, Fathers' Rights: Hard-Hitting & Fair Advice for Every Father Involved in a Custody Dispute, by Jeffery Leving and Ken Dachman. Another book that will help more is, The Anger Control Workbook by Matthew McKay,Ph.D. and Peter Rogers, Ph. D. The workbook will help you cope with the frustrations of valueless child custody books and the opposition in your custody case.
