My daughter who is 10 months has loved to have all the books by Annie Kubler read to her since she was 5 months old. These books by Annie Kubler are great starter books for a child's library!

Was looking for the right books for the very little ones in the family, for Christmas. Saw this (and others in the series) and felt I had found just what I was looking for. Lively, colorful illustrations, activities for parents and little ones to do together. I wound up ordering even more, after my original shipment. The hardest part was which ones to choose!!!

This is a pretty cute book! I believe it has most of the "If you're happy.." lyrics in it - I've been trying to teach him to clap his hands. It is pretty short - only a few pages, but he seems to appreciate it.

What's most important is that parents can act out the song verses to amuse and entertain their little one. The book is very average.

What the Christian Right has trying to reach him with and why. 2 out of 5 stars.

The Christian Right does not hate Manson. We Love Manson. We love him so much that we want to share the truth of the Gospel with him in the prayer that Our Heavenly Father might bring Manson to Himself through His son Jesus Christ. If Manson would only turn from his sin and repent, see Jesus as the Lord of all things that He is, and believe the Father raised Him from the dead then he would understand the love we have for him brought about by our love for Christ.

Superb book on the Pink Floyd sound - Comfortably Numb 5 out of 5 stars.

Superb book in its own right. I think if you've read the earlier books on the Floyd (the late Shaffners tome up to the late 80s, Crazy Diamond concerning the earlier period) this will still add a lot to the pot

Its exhaustive, interesting and engrossing. More info on Syd. More info on the break up during the Wall, and Roger dominating the group. Blake doesn't take sides, its an interesting story on its own. An original member (Rick Wright) is sacked and still does the tour, somehow. Comfortably Numb indeed

The book covers up to the present day, just about, so it ends around Syds death (hopefully an updated edition will cover the 3cd reissue of Piper and the news that EMI & the BBC have reached an agreement and are going to release the early Floyd sessions (of interest is the early Floyd with Syd radio sessions of Top Gear)

But - anyway - the book is a good read. Blake has done his research. Zee is gone into detail - Ricks first (and only) band is done with Harris from the band Fashion. Rogers personality is talked about, Geesin talking about his breaking with the Floyd "main man" during the "Amused to Death" period over the lack of a cd.

As mentioned in the Mojo review for the book, noone comes out smelling of roses. Waters comes across as someone who dominates the group and can't tolerate working with the other "Muffins" - as he calls the rest of the Floyd. Mason is troubled by mention of the Wall at an Inside Out signing, yet the album is gone into detail on, even the lawsuit filed by the schoolkid singers!

Is it worth reading? Yes! Goddamn yes! Its a long book, but its the best book out there on the Floyd. Hopefully it will be updated though, because the Piper reissue deserves to be discussed (unfortunately Saucerful didn't see such treatment on its 30th anniversary, but then that wasn't "Syds baby")

Incredible look at an incredible artist we lost too soon 5 out of 5 stars.

As Billy Bob Thornton says at the close of this book, it's astounding to me when someone says they aren't familiar with Warren Zevon's music. I was 18 when I became a fan. I had never heard lyrics so challenging and one of the wonderful things about this book is that it sheds some light as to how Warren came up with some of those lyrics. Crystal Zevon has emerged from the task of writing this book as a wonderful writer - this couldn't have been an easy book to write. Popular music is laden with artists of little or no substance - we simply don't have enough music from people as talented as Zevon was. I had the pleasure of seeing Zevon live twice and this book made me go back and look at more of his music. It's a tough read at times -Warren could be hard to like, yet this book is an incredibly written, interesting look at an artist I'll always admire and appreciate the work of. On a closing note, I find myself wishing there was some live concert videos of Warren's tours available - he was incredible the two times I saw him.

What a unique and touching book. The concept of telling his story via music, which played such a key role in his life, was genius. As a music lover who grew up in the 80s and 90s myself, each time he mentioned a song that I remembered, I would start to sing it. This book reminded me how much the music you like reveals so much about you and is so ingrained in our lives. How many times have I listened to a song and it's taken me back to a certain time in my life? Countless. For Rob Sheffield, as for many of us, the memories might be happy or sad (although maybe not as sad as some are for him). This book reminded me how precious life is and how to enjoy everyday. Not to mention, it made me mad at myself for throwing away last month all of the mixed tapes I made for myself or my friends throughout my life. What a great book!

Many times I have pondered the relevance of Neil Diamond in my own life and with the release of this book, it's like my head was cracked open and my own feelings emerged. Fans of Diamond will rejoice, as will fans of one of the most respected writers of our time, David Wild. A great read for all.

I was in 7th or 8th grade when this movie came out and I saw it in the theater 3 times. It's truly a fantastic look at the life and times of John Lennon. From birth through death, it chronicles many of the highlights from his life. The music is fantastic, combining both Beatles and solo stuff. The interviews are top notch and I truly recommend this film for anyone who's ever been curious about John Lennon and who he was.

It's been a long time coming for this film to show up on DVD and it was worth the wait.

When this film was first released, it was quite interesting, introspective and entertaining. Now on DVD it almost seems like an afterthought with the release of The Beatles Anthology DVD set. It still holds up well, but sometimes the anti-war Lennon gets boring. Makes you wonder how great his solo career may have been had he concentrated on his music more than his politics & causes. A nice addition to any Beatles or Lennon fans collection.
