I was surprised no one reviewed this darling Vegan book...lol
My son who is 5 has been a Veggie fan for as long as he knows. I was making up all sorts of silly activities and reading random scripture for our family devotionals. After running out of plans I saw this book and ordered it. It's very practical for most parents and kids. We love the silly stories and fun bible facts with each devotional. Sections include a story, bible reading, discussion questions, bible fact, game and application section. You don't have to do all of it but we try to. Some nights we get in bed late so we had to skip the book and just pray. My son literally cries if we don't read his devotional, he absolutely loves it. You will see biblical application of scripture in this devotional. Not just cute stories but good foundation for our Children. Topics range from perseverance, humility, faith when all fails, loving our neighbors and the list goes on and on. Thanks Veggie family!!!

I love this book because it is one of the few Christian children's books I have seen that have real grown-up prayer in it and not paraphrased age-appropriate scripture.

While we have lots of prayer and bible books aimed at toddlers (my son is two), and we love those books too, it was starting to bother me that my son never heard REAL prayer and scripture. Sure, I can read to him from the Bible, but with no pictures he is not interested.

This book has gorgeous old-fashioned illustrations along with classic prayers in grown-up language. We read a prayer from this book every night after reading a few age-appropriate books. The prayer is nice for both of us and he really enjoys the pictures.

I would definitely buy more Tasha Tudor books.

This book is significant to me mainly because I had to defend it in a case of censorship! In 1996 I was the librarian of an elementary school on Long Island, I job I had for ten years previously. My principal received a complaint about the book and in the interests of political correctness removed it from the shelf. My staff association and the local professional organization I belonged to at that time were instrumental in seeing that the book was returned. I have a different job now, but I recently bought a copy of this book just to remind me of the time I stood up to the censors. I firmly believe that censorship, whether from the left or the right, is wrong.

The testimonies of these teens is amazing. It offers solutions to problems you may be having also. I recommend this to anyone who is struggling witht their walk with God or trying to find Jesus in their lives.

Then this is the book for you. It's relevant. It's powerful. It demonstrates through stories how God can impact a world today through the power of prayer. If you are a teen who wants to change your world. . . If you are a teen who has been asking God for a miracle in your school, your home, your own heart. . . If you want to experience God, then this is your book.

As someone who ministers to teens across the nation, my heart was stirred by Cheri's book. It wasn't written for teens by an adult, but rather expressed by teens whose heart was to run after God with a passion. I would recommend this book to any teen, and to anyone who loves teens!

This book has a wonderful message. I read it to my 10 month old daughter often. I want her to know of God's love from a very early age. I love the "Little Blessings" books. The Christian message is easy to understand and I appreciate the ethnic diversity of the illustrations. My daughter has five of the Little Blessings books and I would love to collect them all.

P.S.: Good message for adults too.

This book has an outstanding message that is easy for young children to understand. The illustrations are wonderful. Vibrant colors and adorable kids really keep a child's attention. My girls (9 months and 21 months) love this book and they have for quite some time. It's, by far, their favorite. I plan to buy more from the "Little Blessings" line. I highly recommend this book to anyone wanting to introduce their little ones to the great love God has for all of us!

Great book for reading Psalms in our times. It uses words and phrases which make some of them very pertinent to today. If read in conjunction with reading the same verses in the Bible, it opens up new thoughts. Especially the 23rd Psalm.

I originally found out about this book when a church member came to the hospital to see me. She read Psalm 23 to my husband and I and we really enjoyed it. This book is written in what I call "today's language". Easy to understand. I highly recommend it.

Brandt continues to rewrite and renew his view of the Psalms, God's songbook. It will give the reader a chance to rediscover what grabbed you the first time you read a Psalm and knew God was speaking.

I have had the chance to use the book with junior high and high school students and I have seen it provoke thought. This last purchase of a dozen copies were for graduation gifts for the seniors at my church. The book makes a wonderful gift for young people that seek spiritual transfomation through the Word.

I am excited about this book and wanted to get a review out on it right away. The book is a devotion per day which consists of a bible verse, a short story/example that elaborates on God's message in the verse, and a short activity where the child can put the lesson into practice. Each devotion is short - 1 page per day, and the activites are simple (no elaborate materials needed) and may be simply making a phone call or drawing a picture. I think it will be great for my 4 yr old over the next year!

I am planning to actually read the verse from the bible, though, rather than from the book, so she knows where it is coming from and to introduce her to reading the bible.

The One Year Book of Fun & Active Devotions for Kids
I looked through this book, before presenting it to my grandkids, it is full of life learning messages with scripture, a short message, and a chance for the kids to answer a question or make a statement. My Son called after they went home & they had the chance to look it over, he thought it was opportunity to have a family discussion based on the devotions daily. In todays world the kids need a positive outlook. I would reccomend to anyone with young kids.

This book was very good in teaching life lessons. I didn't buy it for younger children but for 11, 13, and 15 year olds. It is amazing how you just lay something around and they read it. Now if I had MADE them read it they would have considered it quite childish. It is such a simple lesson on how so many things will change us, yet all of us, even adults fall into the trap of, "Not me, I can watch a bad movie, look at bad pictures, listen to bad music and still walk away the same". It pointed out that even knights had weaknesses they needed to guard against and pride will get you everytime. James 4:10 Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.

This is a great book of prayers that teaches God to be grateful!
It is specific enough for children to understand and simple enough to keep parents from having to explain the message. My nephews understand it easily.

My daughter received this book when she was 18 months old. I started reading it to her. I thought that the words repeating over and over again might get old but she loves it. She also enjoys the pictures of the little children and animals so much.

Now that she is talking she tries to read it to me from memory and she says it's her God book. I had to buy her a couple more and she loves them all. They are also nice to take to church.

My son received this book as a gift and absolutely loves it! The pictures are adorable with cute children and animals. The rhyming prayers are catchy and it is a simple way to intoduce prayer to children through a story book. We highly recomend!

DAY BY DAY helped me to understand some of the emotions and tough situations that my loved one is going through everyday. I especially enjoyed the prayer "God help me to stay clean & sober today!" at the end of each daily meditation. I gave it to her as a gift, and I feel that this book is a truely great and wonderful tool in developing a better relationship with and understanding into my loved one's journey.

As a person in recovery "Day by Day: Daily Meditations for Recovering Addicts" is a real guide to the sick& suffering addict looking for a new way to live. I know this book would enhance the lives of addicts, because of the rich embodiment of the spiritual soul on a journey to a new way of life. Read 7 enjoy!
