Every way you look, chaos reigns in Busytown! The phones are on the blink, so everyone must write letters, says Mayor Fox. But apparently, the folks in this town have grown too reliant on the phone system. Pretty soon, while P.S. Pig and Postman Pig valiantly try to deliver all the mail, people become completely distracted by the change in their daily routine. Fruit stands are overturned, hot-dog cars crash into pickle-mobiles, and even Sergeant Murphy isn't paying attention to the major pileup he's contributing to by reading his letter while driving.

This book is NOT by Richard Scarry. Rather it is a work by others done in the "style" of Richard Scarry. Unfortunately, it falls far short in both words and pictures from the Richard Scarry that I'm familiar with.

We love this book. The characters are fun. Each mystery is engaging. The stories span the globe. We also think this book makes a great birthday present.

My best friend and I loved the Richard Scarry books when we were little. My friend gave this book to my daughter(then 2) for her birthday and it has become a fast favorite over the year. She never tires of Mr Frumble's silly antics, and continues to plead for "just one more!" until we often finish all of the stories in the book. We love to look at all the wonderful details included in the pictures and point out funny things. She is now a big Frumble fan and I'm looking for more of his books for her now.

Hours of small child entertainment 5 out of 5 stars.

This book has lots of little windows that open to show what's going on behind them. It has been great entertainment throughout the first two years of my daughter's life and probably for at least two more! When she was very small she enjoyed touching the flaps and watching me open them. Now she can open them by herself and fold the book out into a town.

This has been an absolute favorite with my son since he was a bit over one year of age. He is a huge fan of Richard Scarry and wants to look at this book all the time. He never seems to tire of it.
