This book is the best parenting book I've read...it combines the reality of imperfect mothers with the awesome responsibility and priviledge we have to raise our children so that they love and honor God.

Yes, it's directed at Christians, and it hits right where it should: sound biblical direction and applications for everyday problems.

More than anything, it encouraged me to study the wisdom of the bible for myself, so that I can model and pass that on to my son and future children.

This will be my parenting philosophy from now on, and this book will be my handbook, second only to the bible!

This book has been an answered prayer. The concepts are clear but a lot of work. My kids are worth the investment and I am encouraged by the results so far.

This book was a life saver for me. I have three young children and I times feel lost on not just how to discipline them, but how to train their little hearts in the way of the Lord. This book has many wonderful scripture references to give all of us moms confidence. That this wonderful call of motherhood is a great job indeed & we can do it, the way God has entrusted us to.

This book is wonderful. When I find myself worrying about something, I read this book, and the Bible passages Dillow refers to, and find great comfort. I have purchased several copies for friends, and they are also finding it very helpful.

Our Women's Bible Study decided to share this book and it has had the most positive results. In a world of such uncertainty we learn through Linda's stories and experience how to allow God to calm our hearts. I would recommend this book to all women if just to hear that you are not alone. That we all have like experiences that cause us to become anxious. To learn through the Word of God how to be satisfied with who you are because you were made wonderfully. There is so much in this little book that it will open your eyes and heart to His plan for you. I also purchased this book for my sisters and friends as gifts.

This book is the perfect tool for parenting young girls. It is a common sense approach to helping our girls navigate through the rough waters of growing up and teaching them not to grow up too soon. Our children are constantly bombarded with lies from our culture and this Christian based book helps parents take control of teaching our girls to grow up in a Godly way. Much research was done for this book and the statistics she quotes will make you realize how culture has fooled our girls into believing and doing unthinkable things at such young ages. As in all of Vicki Courtney's books, you will find direction, support and comfort in parenting the right way, not the worldly way. Read this book and read it soon... no parent who takes a sincere interest in raising Godly women will want to parent one minute without it.

The Excellent Wife may contain some good, valuable information. However, if you are married, you must not buy into the teaching that we, as wives, have Biblical authority over our husbands. There is not gentle rebuking from wife to husband; there is no room for a wife to stand over her husband in any authority whatsoever at any time in a marriage. Our husbands are our covering, our protection, and our authority-blessed by God and used by God to bless us. Please consider turning to Scripture yourself to see all the amazing truths about marriage rather than reading The Excellent Wife. If you must read a book other than the Bible, please consider "Created to Be His Helpmeet". It is more doctrinally true to what the Bible teaches about marriage and offers much deeper teachings.

Excellent study of the Psalms of ascent 5 out of 5 stars.

This is one of the best Bible studies I have ever done. The Psalms of ascent (Psalms 120-134) were made so special to me seeing them through a thorough study with an excellent teacher, Beth Moore. She made me see things I have never seen, brought out some really good points and she knows God's word! I did this study with a women's Bible study group at our church and we had the weekly video teaching by Mrs. Moore to go with this study book. It might be harder to follow without the video portion, but would still be rewarding. Be prepared to do the homework and get into God's word in this study. God bless!

This book was given to me as a gift from one of my sisters. I love it so much that it is my all-time favorite inspirational gift to give to my special friends. Letters to My King is also excellent! I keep one on my nightstand and one on my desk at work. I highly recommend it!

I was honored when the Midday Connection staff contacted me and asked if I would be a part of this project. I couldn't be more pleased with how Daily Seeds From Women Who Walk in Faith turned out. Women from all walks of life contributed to this project and their contributions fill this book with insight and Godly wisdom. Every page demonstrates that God's Word still has the answers for life's struggles.

I loved putting this book together - it's a fresh book with a wide variety of topics that interest women! I've heard from several of the 70+ contributors to this book and they have also enjoyed looking through the book and have been encouraged. One women told us that she keeps her copy of Daily Seeds at her desk in the office and she can't wait to come to work each day to see who wrote the next entry. We hope that you enjoy the entries from Margaret Feinberg, Lois Evans, Kim Hill, Sara Groves, Dee Brestin, Jill Briscoe and many others!

From Wise Guys to Wise Girls - in this case, the Daily Seeds bunch living life with exuberance and transparent faith. Now I'm downing Seeds with morning coffee for two jolts: caffeine chased by inspiration from the Girlfriend of the Day. Seeds gives heart and legs to spiritual concepts too often expressed in brain-numbing dullness.

Ironically, this is also a great book to sneak to Mostly Male Theologians - so they can steal ideas to spice up sermons and energize big chunks of Church that happen to be female! Daily Seeds offers inspiring wisdom in perfect doses from a gutsy, expressive, thoughtful bunch of women tackling how to:

Raise marriage from the dead; heal broken hearts beneath Christiany facades; repair from that affair; drop rocks we use to stone rejects in our worlds; use social rejection for a wisdom upgrade; find safe places to expose naked souls; discover joy in the mourning - for widows double whacked by lost spouse and lost friends; wring joy out of life's daily grind; discover faith is not a crock!; escape bondage of needing others too much - or letting them need us too much; as the phoenix, rise from ashes of failure or tragedy--then soar!; mine gold in robust spiritual life and in empowering relationships.
