Great chapter book with good, clean fun! 5 out of 5 stars.

The classic tales of the Bobbsey twins follow the daily life adventures of a family that has two sets of twins, one older and one younger. My 5 year old twins love these books, and we read a chapter or more to them each night. The end of each chapter has a good cliff-hanger to pique interest in the next chapter. Also, the stories are exciting and positive in nature. We started reading these chapter books when my children were 4, and they are perfect for their attention span and interests. I highly recommend them.

I grew up in the late 1960's when you could purchase the Bobbsey Twins books at the S.S.Kresge dimestore chain. The books were inexpensive, wholesome fun. I went through my cousin's copies like a tiny tornado. I was disappointed when the 1960's edition books were no longer available for print in the late 1970's early 1980's.
Imagine my delight while shopping at our local Walmart with my daughter when I spied a display of the Classic Edition Bobbsey Twins books! The stories I had read as a child were being reissued so I could now share them with my daughter. We have begun reading the series together and she loves them!
The storyline revolves around the Bobbsey Twins, Nan, Bert, Freddie and Flossie in their adventures which always include solving a good mystery. The storylines are clean,wholesome fun for the whole family.
These books are a delight for children of all ages and a great way to share your childhood with your children and grandchildren.

I read these books when I was a kid, and didn't realize what was going on. Was Laura Lee Hope some sort of racist, or just writing about an idealized childhood? There's black people in these books, and they're all house staff and in menial jobs. Sometimes they even talk as though they're dimwitted and ignorant. This sort of stereotype is truly out of place in the year 2004,and not something I would want kids to be exposed to.

I liked this book because it tells how younger kids are and older ones too. It describes how a family of both young and old boys and girls get along together and what their life is like. That is why I liked this book.It is also exciting because they do lots of interesting things when they go into the country.

Bert was elected to be in charge of the museum at school. Then, the most valuable trophy in the whole museum was stolen! I really liked some of the details in this book, like the dog that could sniff out the bad guys and do really neat tricks! I recommend reading this book because it is funny, adventurous and exciting!

In spite of what Nan and Bert had said about Mrs. Bobbsey being very busy, Flossie and Freddie looked anxiously in the direction of their house as they walked along. But no sight of their mother greeted them. They did see a friend, however, and this was none other than Snap, their new dog, who, with many barks and wags of his fluffy tail, ran out to meet his little masters and mistresses.

In this book the Bobbsey twins visit Meadow Brook. In their stay they chase robbers, win money,and have great fun. One time the robbers opened animal cages and let all the animals out! HOW SAD! Read about Bobbsey Twins mystery at Meadow Brook,and more! If you want to order this book look on your Inner Net. I'm sure it's there!

As a child, I thoroughly enjoyed reading all the Bobbsey Twins books. I have ordered 5 of these books so far for my 7 yr. old grand niece who is showing an interest in reading. These books were a gift to her. I hope she enjoys them as much as I did when I was her age and a little older. I like to encourage reading.

I read this book many times as a child probably around age 8 or 9. Burt and Nan, Freddie and Flossie, go on a treasure hunt to try to help their friend find the treasure that his father buried before he died.

My mother ordered the collection of The Bobbsey Twins for me when I was a little girl. I would forward to the new book for the month. I enjoyed many hours of pure pleasure reading those books. My mother had read them when she was a little girl. I was ecstatic to find the series at Amazon.com. I have purchased them all so that I can share them with my niece. I wish I had found them when my sons were growing up. My mother mentioned the books at Christmas when we were talking about how my niece reads everything she can put her hands on. So I searched for the collection and found it at amazon.com.

A magic world for a young child 5 out of 5 stars.

This book was probably the second book I ever read as a second
grader in 1945. It took me into a mysterious and fascinating world which captivated my imagination ever since. Subsequently I read every Bobbsey Twin book I could get my hands on. Extremely well done series by an outstanding children's author.
