Editorial Review:

There's this boy. Let's say he's somewhere between nine and thirteen years old or so. You'd like to see this kid get creative. You'd like to see him get some exercise. You'd like to see him get out from in front of the television. And you'd love for him to be motivated enough to find some stuff to do on his own. This boy NEEDS The Big Book of Boy Stuff!

The Big Book of Boy Stuff has all the important information that boys just have to know. Collected here for the first time in one place, it holds the answers to these timeless questions: What do I do if I get a bean stuck up my nose? How can I make lightning without killing myself? Where can I find new practical jokes to play on my friends and family? What is the best way to poop outside? How do I tell a girl I like her? WHY would I tell a girl I like her? How many mosquitoes does it take to suck all the blood out of a person? . . . and many, many more! This big, thick, durable book includes fascinating chapters on gross stuff, magic, emergencies, fireworks, games, experiments, jokes, activities, insults, pets, flying things, and, of course, duct tape. This is perhaps the greatest book ever published!

Barely a story 3 out of 5 stars.
1 of 1 people found this review helpful.

The book is cute and it has a couple of interactive touch spots for kids to learn from, but the book is clearly made for a 6 month-1 year old. My daughter loves the Max & Ruby series and I have been looking to get her some merchandise. Unfortunately, none of the books I have ordered (that are listed on Amazon at least) compare to the show. Very little story and just a lot of thick paper.

Baby book 4 out of 5 stars.

Very cute book - colorful pages - bought it for a one year old and he loves
the tactile pages.

Editorial Review:

"Goodnight, Max," says Max's sister Ruby. But Max can't get comfortable. First he spills a glass of water. Then there are all those itchy cookie crumbs in his bed...and the moon shining through his window. Will poor Max ever fall asleep? Rosemary Wells' beloved Max and Ruby are back in an irresistibly touchable book that is also a satisfying bedtime story. Toddlers won't be able to resist all the tactile elements--fourteen tempting things to touch, move, even smell--while a gently humorous story makes this the perfect book for bedtime, naptime, or anytime!

Our favorite kids cookbook 5 out of 5 stars.
9 of 9 people found this review helpful.

Some people might not realize that this is a book for children not for adults! I got this for my 6 year old son who loves cooking and wants as little help from me as possible. This book is great because it has photos for step-by-step instructions even a child can understand and with a little help from a big person, they can do all the steps. I also love this cookbook because we LOVE all the food we have made from it and it has encouraged my very picky eater to try new things and love them. The cookie dough is amazing and now our family favorite. The Potato Mice are a weekly staple as well as the spaghetti sauce. Just the right book to get a child interested in cooking. Next time, more vegetarian recipes please!

Great cookbook for young children 5 out of 5 stars.

I got this cookbook for my 6-year-old daughter and she loves it. It has lots of pictures and step-by-step instructions for each recipe. As some reviewers pointed out, there isn't a huge selection of recipes, but that's okay if your purpose is primarily to get your child involved in cooking while you have fun together. It's a great cookbook for a young child just starting out in the kitchen. And the food is yummy! We made the cookies for a school snack and the teacher asked for the recipe.

Editorial Review:

With basic cooking techniques and tips, simple first recipes, and tasty, nutritious meal ideas, Annabel Karmel's new family cookbook helps children ages three and up work with their parents to prepare a yummy array of favorite foods.

Editorial Review:

These are definitely not your father's dot-to-dots. With no clues given to the final image, numbers into the thousands, and amazing detailed pictures, The Greatest Dot-to-Dot Super Challenge provides a whole new level of challenge and intrigue.

Author and artist David Kalvitis continues his Dot-to-Dot revolution by introducing a variety of brand new puzzle inventions. The patent pending "Arrow" and "Compass" puzzles provide unique methods for connecting points to reveal a picture. Other new puzzle designs include Alpha Dots and ABC Sets as well as double page spreads with over 1,300 dots. Kalvitis definitely had older kids, teens and adults in mind when designing his puzzles. With his ever-present attention to detail, increasingly complex images and fine-tuning of his craft with each new book, The Greatest Dot-to-Dot Super Challenge raises the bar for dot-to-dots. Ages 8 to Adult.

From the Author Connect-the-dot puzzles are a fun, quiet activity that I always enjoyed as a child. As an adult, I found that all the books available were for young children just learning their numbers, with drawings that gave away the final pictures. Being a lifelong puzzle fan, I thought it would be fun to design a sophisticated and challenging dot-to-dot book for older kids. My objective was to create a magical dot-to-dot experience, not only by increasing the numbers and image quality, but also by inventing new and refreshing ways of creating pictures. Adults repeatedly tell me, I used to love dot-to-dots as a kid! One of the most satisfying surprises is that grown-ups enjoy the puzzles as much as kids. It is also exciting to hear of the numerous ways that the books have been used for teaching and rehabilitation. The Greatest Dot-to-Dot Books have won multiple awards and the puzzles can be found all over the world in newspapers, magazines, catalogs, various stores and on the Internet. I d like to think it s because I've tried to pu

Excellent mini edition of the American Girl Dolls 5 out of 5 stars.
6 of 6 people found this review helpful.

Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/R1JLZNKLV1CQ8C Many people think American Girl is a very expensive hobby, but in reality there is a wonderful way for all girls to enjoy collecting American Girls and their stories without breaking the bank! The mini dolls are just perfect for a dresser top or to carry along in a car, or for playing with Barbie. They run $14-$20 depending upon where you purchase them. You can add in the full size chapter book for only $6.95 and this set would make an excellent gift for any elementary school age girl.
Very Funny, Elizabeth (American Girls Collection) The other mini dolls also have full size books available on Amazon and some even have boxed sets! I hope you have enjoyed the video review and it helps provide additional information you needed.

The product was just fine. I have no complaints about it and was very happy with it. I was disappointed with the shipping. I did 2 day shipping and ordered it on Tuesday, July 3. I wanted to receive it by the time of my daughter's Birthday on Sunday, July 8. It didn't arrive until Monday, July 9. I know there was a holiday in between. When I tracked the package it sat in the same location for a few days over the weekend.

Pretty Committee member Dylan Marvil accompanies her TV-host mother on a private jet to an extravagant spa and tennis club in Hawaii in hopes of making a fresh start. She wants to put the heartache of being dumped behind her, relax in the spa, lounge on the beach and feast on rich tropical desserts --- while her mom is busy preparing for the "interview of the season" with hot-tempered tennis superstar and bad-girl Svetlana Slootskyia.

After checking in to the luxurious resort, Dylan and her mother head for the resort's boutique to "go native" and pick out some new clothes to wear at the Aloha Open VIP Party. Dylan --- who favors dark colors, especially black, to flatter her size-four (make that size-six) figure --- is not pleased with the wardrobe selection. She tells her mom she feels like she's been dropped into a "floral-scented snow globe" because everything there is white, which is the customary color for anyone attending the tennis events.

While looking for an appropriate outfit, Dylan melts at the sight of tanned and handsome J.T. Daley, whose father owns the resort. When she actually meets him, Dylan can barely control her burping. J.T. is a tennis-obsessed "hawtie" who is immediately impressed when he finds out that Dylan's mom is going to be interviewing Svetlana.

At the VIP party, to impress J.T. even more, Dylan tells him she also loves tennis, which is about as true as her being a size four and not having a burping problem. After hearing this, J.T. invites her to his family's box seats at a tennis match that will be held three days later.

Dylan quickly realizes she has to learn how to master the game of tennis in three days, or J.T. will know she's lying. She tries to come up with a plan to get the hot-tempered Svetlana to teach her to play tennis well enough to impress J.T. Can Dylan convince Svetlana to help her become an ace, or will her quest to win over J.T. end up out of bounds?

DYLAN is the second of five books that shine a spotlight on the summers of the Pretty Committee members. It is a breezy and light-hearted novel with an important message about knowing ourselves and being comfortable with who we are.

Editorial Review:

Game, Set, Match... Dylan? Dylan and her TV-host mom are off to Hawaii's Aloha Tennis Open. While Merri-Lee interviews tennis's wild child Svetlana "Tennis the Menace" Slootskyia, Dylan lets the tropical sun melt away the memory of getting dumped by two guys at the end of seventh grade. But between avocado mud masks and poolside naps, she falls in love with a preppy, tennis- obsessed hawtie. Dylan soon realizes the only way to score a date with him is to master the game. Can she convince moody Svetlana to spill the secrets of her tennis success, or will she end up oh-for-three in summer love?

Awesome book for young artists! 5 out of 5 stars.
4 of 4 people found this review helpful.

I purchased this book for my 7-year-old last year--a girl who loves art and math equally well. It has been 8 months and she STILL pulls out this book every week or so to work on a picture...and the results are really beautiful. It's detailed enough that she feels accomplished with her work and clean enough that it's not overwhelming. I highly recommend it!

Too Cool and Great Price 5 out of 5 stars.

I bought this coloring book for my Grandaughter's 8th birthday. Not only were all the little girls coloring in it but the teenagers and some adults were as well. Everyone loved it.

Cool Designs 5 out of 5 stars.
0 of 0 people found this review helpful.

I liked coloring these designs except it used up my magic markers too fast. Some of the areas were so large that my markers would run out before I could complete the area. For the most part, I thought this was an excellent coloring book and I would order it again.

Half & Half 3 out of 5 stars.
0 of 0 people found this review helpful.

At the time I colored this book(a few years ago) I found the designs appealing...some designs are very simple but because of their big size after coloring them you might be surprized by their final impact...some designs are very complex and required a similar coloring approach...because of its combined design structures, simple and complex,I believe this book will satisfy the first timers in coloring.

No fancy training required a novice can perform most of the tricks in this book with little trouble and a little practice. Some of the tricks are simply mathematical in nature others require a little trickery but the author is very straight forward about how much skill is required to pull off each of the tricks.
