Buy It Now 5 out of 5 stars.
7 of 7 people found this review helpful.

I bought this cookbook for a close girlfriend of mine who has a couple of little girls who love to cook just like their mommy. This book is so easy for children to follow and almost every recipe has a picture for them. The recipes are something we all eat everyday and they are all healthy! I recommend giving this as a gift to any child in your life.

Great cookbook! 5 out of 5 stars.

I love that each recipe has a picture, the instructions are easy to follow, and the ingredients are things you would normally have on hand. So far my family has loved every recipe that we have made!

Cannot compare to Robert Sabuda pop-up books 1 out of 5 stars.
1 of 2 people found this review helpful.

This book was terribly disappointing. The pop-ups are not particularly visually stimulating (nothing hidden for which to search). The paper is flimsy and did not hold up to children 1-3 years old who wanted to touch and pull on the pop-ups. The book is not of the calibur of a Robert Sabuda pop-up. Two thumbs down.

Artwork 5 out of 5 stars.

Fascinating artwork. A great piece of art doesn't have to hang in a museum. This book gives enjoyment to whoever opens it. Keep it close by so your guests can open it and be amazed and you'll enjoy it again every time they do.

Not For Kids 1 out of 5 stars.
2 of 8 people found this review helpful.

As a teacher, I find this book to be horrible for children. I agree with others who have commented about the violence, disturbing images, and the "darkness" within this book. I would not use it for my own young children and am taking it out of my 7th grade classroom.

Seek and Find, I Spy, Animals, Outstanding Illustrations all rolled up into one! 5 out of 5 stars.
0 of 0 people found this review helpful.

This was our first Graeme Base book, and I thought it was wonderful -- until I discovered some of his other books. I bought it because my 4-year old is really into animals. He also likes the Osborne seek and find books, and Animalia is a combination of both. The details in the illustrations are truly outstanding. Sadly, my son didn't like it as much as I did, but you know how children are. I'm sure when I reintroduce the book in a few months he will appreciate it much more. He's just learning to read, so the details in teaching the alphabet are just now starting to become clear. Everytime I look at this book I discover some more detail on each page. The author must have spent a great deal of time creating this masterpiece. And you cannot go wrong with a Graeme Base book. Definitely my favorite children's author.

Editorial Review:

Now children can color their own Animalia! Base's bestselling, amazing alliterative, alphabet book is now available with its illustrations in outline form. Precocious painters can explore the riches of their own imaginations as they color the enormous elephants, horrible hairy hogs, diabolical dragons, angry alligators, and lazy lions in whatever hue they choose.

Great for building pencil skills! 5 out of 5 stars.
0 of 0 people found this review helpful.

My son loves these mazes. I've had great luck with all of the Kumon books. This one is really great for teaching pencil skills. It holds my son's interest and the book is structured to give a high success rate - staring with simpler mazes and progressing. I'm a teacher and I'm very impresed with this and all of the other Kumon books I've tried.

Great Book For Four Year Old 5 out of 5 stars.
0 of 0 people found this review helpful.

Purchased for my niece and she loves these mazes. Each page is double sided with an easy maze on the front and a harder maze on the back. She finds the harder maze a little difficult so I place numbered clues throughout the maze for her to follow.

She prefers working with the the pages out of the book, which you can do if you work on it a little. Instead of cutting, you can pull the front cover all the way back until the seam is exposed, and remove the pages one by one without ripping any pages.

Editorial Review:

This book gives children the opportunity to build a firm foundation for pencil-control skills by tracing lines through basic mazes following clear directional indicators. The exercises have many three-dimensional illustrations, such as towns, streets, and parks, which engage children’s curiosity. This amusing practice will also help children acquire the ability to concentrate, a crucial study skill for the emerging student.

Big hit 5 out of 5 stars.
5 of 5 people found this review helpful.

My niece is 9 and I gave this to her as one of her Christmas gifts. She loves her other books from the American Girl series and this one is no exception. She began reading it immediately and then discussing it with me. It was a big hit! And it seems very practical and useful for helping young girls navigate those early relationships with friends.

Oh, you gotta have friends! 5 out of 5 stars.
4 of 5 people found this review helpful.

Bette Middler sang about it -- You gotta have friends! American Girl will explain it all to the tween in your life: how to meet friends, keep friends, avoid arguments, and keep on having fun through it all!

This book is a must have for girls and their families. Conversations will be started, communication will grow, and happiness will abound. Now, what could be wrong with that?

This book is filled with wonderful illustrations that underscore the lively writing.

Absolutely recommended!

Editorial Review:

FRIENDS gives girls everything they need to know about making new friends and making the most of the friendships they already have. The interactive book is full of quizzes, crafts, and thoughtful advice, including tips and true friendship stories from girls. Five mini posters are bound at the back of the book for girls to tear out and share with friends!

Very Misleading 2 out of 5 stars.
1 of 1 people found this review helpful.

I knew the dolls were going to be small, but I think it is very misleading to not stipulate that the book is a MINI book. I actually thought 19.99 was a TERRIFIC price for the mini doll AND the hardcover book. I received my order and thought that my order was incomplete because I had no idea that the Meet Samantha book would actually be INSIDE the doll box. The dolls are cute and my daughters will love them...but I certainly wasn't expecting such a small book. The ones for 11.97 would be worthwhile. I wish I had read all the customer reviews ahead of time. I did read the reviews for some of the AG mini dolls, but unfortunately none of the ones I happened to read mentioned the MINI book.

I bought 3 of these dolls for my grandaughter and she loved all of them they were really cute

not worth the price ! 1 out of 5 stars.

I was fine with the size of the doll. The book is a waste of time. The print is so small that it is impossible to read. Do not feel that this doll is worth the price being charged. Would not purchase again.

Kumon does it again. 5 out of 5 stars.
6 of 6 people found this review helpful.

I've bought several Kumon books for my 3 yo daughter, this being the lastest. The layout is wonderful. It groups letters together by shape and pattern instead of order, moving from simple to complex. It offers many variations of the same skills and keeps my daughter's interest. I've never ask her if she wants to work in the book, she picks it up periodically and works in it as long as she wants. She effortlessly learned how to write L, H, T, I, E and F.

Great introduction to writing uppercase letters! 5 out of 5 stars.
2 of 2 people found this review helpful.

I really like the straight forward and fun approach this book uses to help the student learn to write uppercase letters. This allows learning to write to be fun instead of boring. A + book.

Editorial Review:

This workbook gives children the opportunity to develop basic pencil-control skills while learning the shapes of the uppercase letters of the alphabet. The book begins with easy-to-write letters, like the letter L, and then gradually progresses to more difficult letters, like the letter A. Children learn the shapes and concepts of letters by writing and tracing them again and again.

I love this series our daughter is about to enter kindergarten and she really enjoys finding all the items on each page!

Truly a great learning book! 5 out of 5 stars.

I find these books great mind stretchers, even for us older folks. This book especially is a learning tool because there is a page with all the letters of the alphabet surrounded by little objects that start with each letter. Another page groups things by category with overlapping categories. Really well done.

I Spy is a terrific series. 5 out of 5 stars.

My husband and I have more fun with these books whether it's with our grandson or our friends. We really get into it and found that it helps our eye coordination and our memory. I would highly recommend this to anyone at any age!

Bought this book for my kids who are ages six and seven. Good mix of hard to find and easier to find items. We also bought I spy books for other kids that we know and they were hooked. Makes a nice gift.
