I had low expectations for this book but my 6 month old loves this book. She giggles every time I lift one of the flaps!

I will say that my daughter did like this book. It's a "peek-a-boo" type book. The problem is that, of course, babies want to open and close the flaps themselves, and these flaps are thin, flimsy and hard for little baby fingers to get a hold of (and avoid ripping or curlling once they do). Many of our flaps are missing, but the kids still read this book from time to time.

It would be better if it was a little sturdier.

We are on child #2 with this book and both of my kids have requested it over and over and over and over. My youngest, 19 months, is 'reading' it to us. I found my 5 yr old reading it to the youngest one last night.

It is easy to understand, fun for the babies and easily read by my other kid. What could be better? Well, maybe a space age polymer that keeps the flaps on when an overzealous toddler continues to try and wrestle them off.

My daughter loves Karen Katz books and will bring the whole box over to us to read many times a day. Some of the flaps are tearing off, but that's because she carries them around by the flaps sometimes. She loves the colors and the babies!

My 9-month-old loves these books! The flaps make them interactive and the illustrations are very colorful. Also, there are a variety of nationalities included. I highly recommend them (but be sure to supervise since it would be easy to bend or tear the flaps).

Our girls grow up so fast! The times w/ them can slip away if we let it.This book helps bring that bond even closer between a mother and daughter.We take it in the car or hang out on the couch w/ it. The folks at American Girl have filled it w/ quizzes and questions that allow you to know your daughter on a deeper level. Our favorite pages so far are "What were you doing when you were your daughters age" and "What do you think you'll be doing when you are your mom's age?" They say to tear the pages out of the book and switch answers, these pages have become little treasures I know I'll pull out in years to come.It's also just plain fun! Full of recipes, bookmarks, and coupons, Just Mom and Me makes those mommy daughter times even more special.

The I Spy Spooky Night book is one of many 'I Spy' books our family has enjoyed. We have the 'I Spy Extreme Challenger!',
'I Spy Super Challenger', 'I Spy School Days', 'I Spy Treasure Hunt' and the 'I Spy Mystery' book just to name a few of them. They will entertain no matter what your age. Our children and now our grandchildren have pulled these books out many times. They are like magnets and will draw in whoever is around to your side to help find the hidden I Spy items. Here's a hint. If, no - when, you have trouble finding any of the objects turn the book upside down and that just might help. This book is an excellent place to start teaching children chess. I almost gave it four stars because I don't think children under 7 or 8 will be able to tackle it themselves without an adult. It would still serve as an excellent guide for older children and teens and with an adult's help any younger child would love it. It has great outlines and pictures of how the pieces move, the rules, special rules (en passant for example) and can be referenced easily by anyone. Great job by Mr.Chandler.

I think the I Spy Series is Wonderful and Treasure Hunt has great pictures. My only negative is that the age range listed in Amazon is wrong, and even the 4-8 age range usually listed for this book should be a little higher, like 6-8. I have to admit that I have a hard time finding the pictures, so my 4 year old gets frustrated with this one.

I think the Picture Riddles is a great one for 4 year olds to start with.

I asked for this before Christmas and got in January. I didn't check the contents of the bag until Saturday (February 2nd) when I had time to start building the models. Six pices were missing, two of them very important (24-tooth gear wheels). I got some extra-pieces, but some models I won't be able to build because of the missing gear wheels. I tried returning the item to Amazon but I had until January 31st so if anyone buys this please check it very soon, the models are fine, easy to do, BUT I WANT MY MISSING PIECES!!!
