This was the second copy I purchased for my son. He looked at the other one so much it fell apart. If your child likes Pokemon, this is the book to buy.

The kids just love this book. Amazing how they can sound out each name and read all about these characters. This book tells about the height and weight of the characters so my guys have been measuring and weighing things to get a better idea of how big the characters are. They chat about the different powers and who evolves into what. It is very cute to see my boys enjoy something together. I really feel that their reading skills have improved as well as their understanding of measurement and weight. No, it is not a science, history or math book but they are developing a love of reading and learning a little too!

Great Pokemon "dictionary" 5 out of 5 stars.

I ordered this book for my 6-year-old son who is really into Pokemon at the moment. He absolutely loves this book.

The book features many of the most popular Pokemon, gives a brief summary of their abilities and even states their height, weight and possible moves.

What's best about this book for me as a mother is that my son, a first-grader, practices his reading without me asking him too, because he is so fascinated by all the informative stats about all his favorite Pokemon. And the book does actually use some big words that he would not encounter in the typical first-grader reading books.

I can recommend this book to any Pokemon fan or parent thereof!

Although I am an adult reader/player, I enjoyed this introduction to the world of Neopia. I have had my account for 10 months, but still found new tidbits that will have me entering Searches for quite some time! Page 11 shows b&w pictures of all 54 Neopet species. Aside from the humor the author infuses into her tour guide character, this is a perfect beginner's reference. Just enter each new name or word in the site's Search feature, or ask the question on the Help chat board. It has 5 lined pages for you to make your own notes as you explore the online world; very handy for keeping track of shops/locations and helpful petpage guides. I hope to see many new releases of the story books. Maybe even a print-version Neopedia!

Neopets has been a fantastic on-line site for kids (and adults too) where you'll find a Uni or perhaps even a Cybunny! Now there is a guide to help you navigate the Neopets world.

The guide is well presented, fun, and a must have for all Neopians!

Great fun for kids aged 5 to 8 5 out of 5 stars.

This would be a great activity for a car or plane trip. It is not annoying loud (and you can turn the sound off). The questions in the 1st grade challenge were mostly easy for my almost-nine year old daughter, however, the format of the game kept her interested. If you had two children, you could definitely go with the younger age and the older one would enjoy playing along. You can play a two-player game, passing it back and forth.

If a child can read, they could play this independently. It's easy to understand. However, my daughter and I even enjoyed involving my 3 year old, by telling him to press the right color button for the answer.

The questions vary from simple math (6+5 =) to questions on money and geography, and even some that I didn't know (Who was the first modern woman doctor? A. Deborah Sampson B. Eleanor Roosevelt C. Elizabeth Blackwell D. Susan B. Anthony).

One thing that increases the fun of it, is that on the display it tells the child to go to a certain number within a certain section (coded by color) for the next question. For example, 57 Red. This makes the combination of 500 questions have staying power. A child is not going to go through all of these in one day and be bored.

This is NOT a paperback book as advertised. This item is a pack of 52 Party Cards with various questions printed on the reverse.

At first, my nephew was of course more interested in his video games and other high tech xmas gifts, but once he cracked weird and gross open, it was THE HIT of the holidays...suddenly his older sister wanted in, the whole family was playing along. As the kids headed upstairs for bed all we could hear was, "I get the challenge tomorrow!" "No, I get it!". Smashing success.
