An Extended Manual to a great game 5 out of 5 stars.

Now here's an extended manual we can all love.

Prima has always been very classy about their guides, even including a few shakey no-no's(initial guide's were not binded very well) they've always managed to put their own personal touches into certain guides, as if to let us now that this is one they enjoyed playing immensely.

Though it does NOT include the Shivering Isle's strategy this is STILL a great purchase for those picking up the game. One of the few guides that help in varying approaches to enemies and bosses.

good material, needs bigger print 3 out of 5 stars.

While the material in the guide is very excellent, the print is quite small at least to me. In Fact, I would have no problem paying a bit more for the guide if the print was larger. I would've liked to see maps for the cyberspace items as well.

Still, all in all a good guide for the game.

EA released a patch to fix this, but then recalled the patch with no word as to when (or if) it will be released again. Do not buy this until it has been confirmed that a new patch has been released, it is basically unplayable as is...

If you play Sims then consider adding this game.Freetime is a great way to keep your Sims happy and entertained.There are some surprises that are amusing.If you have never added a pack to your Sims this one would be a great addition! It takes a bit of time to see your Sim get to the max,but it is worth it!!!

This book is pretty good. It is unreasonable to expect that every person is going to use every bit of this book. No one has that much time, or that many characters. Unless of course your characters are suicidal and you roll up a new one every session. To me, if you can pick up a supplement book, pluck out a few classes, feats, and some other good information out of it, chances are its a good buy. Especially considering you can bring that to your gaming group and someone else there might like something that you didn't have a use for. The prestige classes are pretty interesting in terms of class abilities, but I wasn't crazy about them. The enrichment material at the front of the book is excellent though, just like the stuff in PHB2. Solid gold for helping you role-play or just concept a character. The feats and skill tricks presented in this book are also good. In my current campaign I play a Scout (from Complete Adventurer) and I like the character a lot. The problem was, I wasn't getting the full statistical output that my character's personality supports. With the feats in this book, I was able to customize my character by multiclassing in some things without losing some of the Scout class ability progression, which let me make the character into who I felt he should be. The book also has many other feats that make it a lot more appealing to multiclass with levels in a Scoundrel-type class. The skill tricks also add a lot of flavor to your character as well as giving them some cool abilities like some feats give, but with the limitation that they can be used once per day. The book isn't all for the Rogue type, though. It has a fair amount of prestige classes and feats and skill tricks for various casters. To name a few, this book contains the Grey Guard prestige class, sort of like a Paladin with less remorse and more freedom of action. It also has a skill trick that lets anyone with 5 ranks in the Heal skill heal some damage when they stabilize. All in all, I won't use everything in this book, but I will use a good amount of it and it is likely that some of my other players will, too.

This is one of the worst Prima guide i have ever bought, from start to finish its full of mistakes omissions, print errors and so forth...

I will give you just two examples from the start of the game , but believe me this are only the "little" mistakes this guide has:

On page 60 for example there is a lame map of Venezuela which practically tells you nothing about the available contracts and factions - it only give you the vague location for each faction - as you turn the page though , you can read the following statement " due to the branching nature of the narrative - you often choose the order of the contracts you wish to undertake - (and now for the big lie) - CONSULT THE TABLE IN THE PREVIOUS CHAPTER(along with the map) to see when contracts become available..." but when you try to find this lost table you come to realize that THERE IS NO SUCH TABLE , they just forgot to print it!!!

Example number two :

when you go to free General Carmona at some point during this stage you receive a TANK ( which is a big game factor in this game - as you all know) - But of-course the guide fails to mention this "little" fact!

There many other examples for the amateurish job Prima did with this guide and i was deeply disappointed because usually they do a much better job,

So for conclusion:

LEAVE THIS GUIDE ALONE!!! - You have been warned :)

Mid-Level Strategy book focusing on a varitey of concepts this author feels is important to learn 4 out of 5 stars.

This is book at a mid-level skilled player who wants to add on their their basic knowledge of chess. Ideas are taken from actual play and are made into broken down examples. This is instead of using complete games (another excellent way to improve - here one of the mid-level comment on every moves book like "Logical Chess" or "Unbeatable Chess" would fit in well) the author focuses on a variety of concepts that he fees are important. This is certainly a good, but not a great book.

This much needed guide explains alot but as with other reviewers found it lacking in the Lara control dept. The screen shots are really dark but then so is the game unless you lighten the graphics. It definately helps you through the game. Can't see doing without it.
