This book is cool.It helped me though the game perfectly.It shows every weapons detail like:how much damage it can inflict to people,the rate of fire,projectile speed,accuracy and cells per shot.It also tells about the force powers and ways to use them.The book lists the "bad guys" from every level.It shows maps for every multiplayer games even "Xbox Live" maps.It shows the maps for every level and its objectives.It shows the body parts of every custom character.It gives you hints on how to move to avoide shots.It also shows how to preform special moves.I highly recomend this guide for anyone who has this game.

A great reference to a great game. Rusel Demaria pads out the dry strategy sections with some fan-fiction to flesh out the story. It reminds me of the "choose your own adventure" books from the 1980s, which isn't a bad thing. Without it, this would be a dry tome full of stats and tables, the kind of thing one could print from an online listing.

The only criticism I have is that laying all the code on the table like this takes away a lot of the mystery and fun of the game -- it becomes painfully clear that it's a computer program when you know all the trigger points for the game's events. For the purest experience, use this as a reference if you get stuck, not as a companion piece to every mission, lest you spoil some of the surprises.

Not a big fan of Episode I? Hungry for some good ol' original trilogy action? Well, X-Wing Alliance has exactly what you need. This game is the concluding chapter in the acclaimed X-Wing series from LucasArts, a collection of starfighter simulation games in which you get to take part in ferocious interstellar dogfights in the Star Wars universe. Like its predecessors, X-Wing Alliance is an impressive, addictive, and incredibly challenging game that will put all of your sci-fi piloting skills to the test. To help you get the most out of the game and overcome the seemingly insurmountable challenges that pop up throughout, Prima's guide offers support for everything from basic flying and dogfighting skills to complete ship descriptions. You'll also find an array of information on the many ships' systems you'll have to master (the energy allocation system, for example). When I bought X-wing, the strategy guide came with it, so I thought it would suck. Boy, was I wrong. It is full of everything you need to know to play. I wouldn't recommend playing without it. It is a must. I know it's out of print, but definitely try to get one!

This book is an excellent resource for gamers who are having trouble with missions. It contains the mission objectives for all the missions, it also has winning conditions for each mission. The book has screen shots from each mission, and a storyline involving the main character. If you are having trouble with missions or just want to know more about the game. BUY THIS BOOK!

An excellent companion to the hit game X-Wing, this reference guide provides all of the requisite mission information, strategy advice, ship descriptions, and hints. Inexplicably, the game's protagonist, Keyan Farlander, details this rich information--compiled with the help of two of the game's developers--in an on-going first-person narrative. Even the most devoted of Star Wars fans will be skimming this fan-fiction to extract the juicy bits, of which there are plenty. Some fans will find the "novella" format interesting, but most will be more intrigued by the statistics-filled appendices.

I bought this book after I had already beaten the game. I only bought it because I am a Star Wars collecter, I wouldn't normally have bought a game guide. I was reading through it, and to my surprise it was written basically in the form of a first person novel. I really enjoyed the fresh perspective of a civilian worker (Maarek Stele) on a Star Destroyer, and this book is well worth reading.

The TIE Fighter Official Strategy Guide provides detailed descriptions of all of the missions included in the CD-ROM release of the game, with strategies, statistics and behind-the-scenes information.

Like the X-Wing Collector's CD-ROM Official Strategy Guide, most of the information is imparted in a narrative--an unusual style for a game guide and one that only a Star Wars fanatic would love. While the story does weigh things down a bit, it is filled with helpful hints and complete mission overviews. In addition, the detailed appendices feature statistics and scoring reference tables for quick perusal. Aside from the included "novelization," this is an excellent strategy guide.
