One of the most efficient & reliable way to pass the exam 4 out of 5 stars.
3 of 4 people found this review helpful.

This book is excellent and almost covers everything which you need to know for the exam. The practice questions in this book are very useful. I used both this book and the old student manual (course 801) from Novell to study for the exam. This book hasn't mentioned about ARCNet. Make sure you get some additional information from the student manual as well. Of course, you still need to know how to use MTL SupportSource and the Support Connection CDs. I highly recommended to study the exam with this valuable book.

ok for basic info, read older Netware 3.12,Intranetware book 3 out of 5 stars.

Well, 3 stars...why because they only target Netware5 related questions. I just missed out the first exams, and after a resit passed. The exam relates to all netware versions, 3/4/5 which the book does not advise. Get a older Intranetware 4 book and study from that as well. You will need a very rounded knowledge base to get past the exam.

ServiceSupport CD gets a large number of questions...why..no idea. I asked Novell, and was advised that they are reviewing this for the next update. Remember this is a added price to netware, but they question you on this.

This books is okay for what is between the covers, where it fails is what is doesn't tell you.

Don't do the Test until you've done this Book! 5 out of 5 stars.
4 of 5 people found this review helpful.

I didn't pass the test first time around, which is because I didn't know about this book. Using this book (along with a couple of technical websites) boosted my test score by 23%!! I strongly recommend it as a must-have supplement to your studying.

best kept secret! 4 out of 5 stars.
3 of 3 people found this review helpful.

I can't believe that there were negitive comments about this book! I passed the core test the first time, and can say that 90% of my test was covered in depth inside these covers. Not all of the test material can be found in ANY study guide, therefore in the context of a supplemental study guide -mission accomplished.

Great knowledge base but ill prepares you for the exam. 2 out of 5 stars.

Althought this book does teach you a lot of the basics you need to get ahead in a computer career, you could memorize this book and still not be perpared for the A plus exam. Beware if you studied this book for months and think you are ready for the exam. You will lose $128 dollars if you do so!!!!!!!

Good but missing stuff and outdated 3 out of 5 stars.
4 of 4 people found this review helpful.

I got this book to study for the A+ exams. In the middle of chapter 2 I began realizing that this book is good for reference, good for learning computer history, great for computer history. But lacking in the newer hardware concepts.

I have been a tech now for more than 5 years and I recognize everything in the book, but so many new things have poped up in the market. For example the author mentions 32 of Ram to be the highest newest thing, please, that was a few years back. This book should really be updated to make it not only good as a reference or history book, but as a tool
