Kittens Kaboodle 5 out of 5 stars.
1 of 1 people found this review helpful.

I loved this book, I didn't want to put it down. I loved how Delilah is fragile yet dangerous, the storyline and the world Yasmine has created. Very excitinig and original. I would've liked more flirting/sex between Delilah and Zach but Chase filled in nicely. Can't wait for Menolly's turn in book 3.

Delilah's Turn 4 out of 5 stars.

Changeling is told from Delilah's point of view. She's the middle sister and she's a werecat, she changes into a long haired golden tabby. In this book she is approached by a member of the Rainier Puma Pride, Zachary Lyonnesse, because someone is killing members of his pride; leaving behind a dried up husk with the heart missing. Upon going to the pride's compound Delilah and her sisters discover that a demon is behind the attacks and ask the pride if they have any idea who could be doing this to them.

At that point The Hunters Moon Clan is brought up because of an old fight between the two groups, but their leader is dead, it couldn't be them. But the demon scent also had the scent of werespider mixed into it so it bears looking into, which means talking to the Autumn Lord, something that isn't to be taken lightly. The Autumn Lord is in charge of spiders, so he would know about werespiders as well, the price to talk to him may be something to high to pay.

Editorial Review:

"The first in an engrossing new series, [Witchling was] a whimsical reminder of fantasy's importance in life" (Publishers Weekly). Now comes Changeling-again featuring Camille, the good witch, Menolly, the vampire, and Delilah, a feline shapeshifter. They're the D'Artigo sisters, half-human, half-Faerie supernatural agents who are now enlisted to find the fiends responsible for slaughtering the weres of Rainier Puma Pride.

Bewitchingly good..... 5 out of 5 stars.
1 of 1 people found this review helpful.

Great start to a new series. Hardly any down spots and wasted page fillers. I love the diversity of having witches, vampires, fairie/fey and my fav demons. This book had good sex with hardly any romance which I more than appreciated and had great action. I'm looking forward to reading book 2.

Read it! 5 out of 5 stars.

I love this series! I recommend it to anyone interested in fantasy fiction.
However, it would probably be best for "mature" teens, and adults. There are some "sex scenes". It's not really for kids.
This series is one of my favorites.

Editorial Review:

Meet the D'Artigo sisters: half-human, half-faerie, they're savvy-and sexy-operatives for the Otherworld Intelligence Agency. But their mixed-blood heritage short-circuits their talents at all the wrong times. Delilah shapeshifts into a tabby cat whenever she's stressed. Menolly's a vampire who's still trying to get the hang of being undead. And Camille is a wicked-good witch, except her magic's as unpredictable as the weather, as her enemies are about to find out-the hard way.

I Love This Series! 5 out of 5 stars.
0 of 0 people found this review helpful.

This isn't the first novel where Elena is the main character, and I love how Armstrong puts you inside her head. Elena is a strong woman/werewolf with a head on her shoulders and guts to do what needs to be done. In this novel, not only does she have 'bad guys' to worry about, but she's pregnant as well, and that has her worried with nightmares to match. You feel what Elena feels right down to your core and you root for her constantly.

Clay is his usual self, completely devoted to Elena, and still has his own worries and insecurities.

The plot is excellent, lots of action to keep you on your toes. Not as many love scenes, but there's a reason for that. Won't say what it is, don't want to spoil it for a potential reader. A plot twist that I really hadn't figured out until it was almost too late, and I love when an author does that to me, LOL! I think the ending is absolutely perfect - I couldn't ask for better. These novels are different than the usual vampire/werewolf/sorcerer/witch/demon novels I've read and not only do I give it a huge two-thumbs-up, but a definite recommendation!

Editorial Review:

In this thrilling new novel from the author of Industrial Magic, a pregnant werewolf may have unwittingly unleashed Jack the Ripper on twenty-first-century—and become his next target.

Ever since she discovered she’s pregnant, Elena Michaels has been on edge. After all, she’s never heard of another living female werewolf, let alone one who’s given birth. But thankfully, her expertise is needed to retrieve a stolen letter allegedly written by Jack the Ripper. As a distraction, the job seems simple enough—only the letter contains a portal to Victorian London’s underworld, which Elena inadvertently triggers—unleashing a vicious killer and a pair of zombie thugs.

Now Elena must find a way to seal the portal before the unwelcome visitors get what they’re looking for—which, for some unknown reason, is Elena.

Great Series 5 out of 5 stars.
0 of 0 people found this review helpful.

This book was fast paced and tied in very well with the previous books in the series. I loved book one, but not book 2 of the series. I am a fan of Kim Harrison, Charlaine Harris, and Laurell K Hamilton (early Anita Blake books). I find this plot and style of writing very similar to those authors.

Clever, sexy, funny..... 5 out of 5 stars.

A wealth of description, humor and rapid-fire plot twists inhabit this novel. Anna Strong is newly vampire and still discovering what that world is like, but she knows her strong points. Occasionally she gets surprised, and so will you.

This series is a definite hit with me and I wish I would have started with the first of the three novels, but I didn't realize at the time of purchase that it was a series.

I really liked this character and her friends. I think you will too.

Editorial Review:

Newly-made vampire Anna has become a Watcher-one of the supernatural world's enforcers- even as she fights to control her vampiric rage. When a series of very dangerous events threatens to draw out her unstable powers, her Watcher mentor sends her away for her own safety. But if there's one thing Anna has always been able to find, it's trouble.

It's Menolly's turn! 5 out of 5 stars.
1 of 1 people found this review helpful.

Just when I thought it couldn't get any better, Darkling proved me wrong. This entire series has become one of my favorite. This book was interesting from start to finish. No page fillers or down spots. No repeating the same information or overly emotional. Just enough sex and action to keep me from putting it down. Can't wait to see what happens next between Menolly and Narissa. I highly recommend this book and the rest of the series.

Best reading for quite awhile 5 out of 5 stars.

I am not one to write a bunch. I just wanted to say that I am an avid reader, but it takes a great book to get me engaged, and that is what this whole series did. If I could rate it higher, I would. The only thing that I did not like, and this was very menial, was repetition of some basic information that we knew already about the characters from each of the books. You have found a new fan Ms. Galenorn!!

Editorial Review:

Meet the smart, sexy — supernatural — women of the otherworld. This is not your mother’s coven...

Kelley Armstrong returns with the eagerly awaited follow-up to Dime Store Magic. Paige Winterbourne, a headstrong young woman haunted by a dark legacy, is now put to the ultimate test as she fights to save innocents from the most insidious evil of all.. . .

In the aftermath of her mother’s murder, Paige broke with the elite, ultraconservative American Coven of Witches. Now her goal is to start a new Coven for a new generation. But while Paige pitches her vision to uptight thirty-something witches in business suits, a more urgent matter commands her attention.

Someone is murdering the teenage offspring of the underworld’s most influential Cabals — a circle of families that makes the mob look like amateurs. And none is more powerful than the Cortez Cabal, a faction Paige is intimately acquainted with. Lucas Cortez, the rebel son and unwilling heir, is none other than her boyfriend. But love isn’t blind, and Paige has her eyes wide open as she is drawn into a hunt for an unnatural-born killer. Pitted against shamans, demons, and goons, it’s a battle chilling enough to make a wild young woman grow up in a hurry. If she gets the chance.

I was disgusted 1 out of 5 stars.
3 of 8 people found this review helpful.

Too much explicit sex. If I wanted porn, I would have rented an adult movie. I read to expand my mind, not my libido. By the 10th sex scene in the 3rd chapter (might be exagerating a little, but not much), I was so disgusted I couldn't read it anymore. Sex scenes should be the icing, not the whole cake.

Witch Fire 5 out of 5 stars.
1 of 2 people found this review helpful.

I really enjoyed this book. I put off reading it for a while because it seemed to have more negative reviews than positive. I also thought it was going to be romance focused. That was a mistake. I'd say this book had a 50/50 focus between romance/sex and fantasy. It was put together in a way that made you care for the characters and want them to succeed. I am strictly an urban fantasy reader with not much patience for a paranormal romance. Surprisingly enough, Anya can draw a reader into the story and she definitely kept my interest. Mira is having a mundane life. She's recently divorced from a cheating, jerk of an exhusband. She now works as a waitress and lives in a crappy apt. but she does have pride in knowing that she is providing for herself and going back to school. In the midst of putting her life back together, she is attacked by two men who try to kidnap her. Enter Jack McAllistar who saves her and helps her find out who she really is. Mira and Jack have great chemistry and a lot of sex. The explicit sex didn't bother me, I actually enjoyed it. Witch Fire, is an extremely adult novel but....I'm an adult. Anya has a knack for creating a sensual experience focused on pleasing a women, instead of gliding over the women's pleasure to focus on the male; which a lot of authors (male and female) seem to do. Mira learns that not only is she a powerful air witch but she has the once in a lifetime chance to punish the man who stole her parents' magic and their lives. Anya has built a dark world where witches have the power to raise demons, magically torture and almost rule the world from behind the scenes. I look forward to finding out more about Jack and Mira in book two.
I also recommend:
Dead Witch Walking (The Hollows, Book 1)
Witchling (Sisters of the Moon, Book 1)
Blood Engines (Marla Mason, Book 1)
Magic to the Bone

Editorial Review:

After a chaotic marriage and a rough divorce, all Mira Hoskins wants is stability and normality. But when sexy Jack McAllister enters her life, she discovers that what you want isn't always what you need.

Jack is a powerful witch with the ability to command fire and is anything but normal. As the head of a security detail for The Coven, a national organization that governs national witches, Jack has been assigned to watch over Mira. She is a natural born witch with the ability to call the air. And although she is unaware of her talent, a group of renegade witches has discovered her existence and are determined to steal her power--and her life.

Love the book, but I'm a little pissed that it's missing 30 pages right out of the middle of the book! 3 out of 5 stars.
0 of 1 people found this review helpful.

And no, I didn't buy it used... I bought it new, right here from Amazon. It goes from page 206 then jumps to page 239. If it was just misnumbering, that would be no big deal, but it jumps obviously in the story and I'm traumatized. Any one else have this issue? I can't imagine I got the only bad copy.

Less Action, Still a Good Ride 4 out of 5 stars.
0 of 0 people found this review helpful.

Kitty, the werewolf turned talk show DJ, is on the move as a single werewolf without a pack's protection. Since her old pack was oppressive and abusive, Kitty is enjoying her new 'identity'. Here, Kitty has been called to Washington to testify before the Senate in a hearing publically announcing werewolves, vampires, and other creatures of the night. Kitty finds hereself messed up with new characters, she can't know who to trust and everyone seems to have their own agenda. By about 100 pages in this story, I was feeling disheartened. The story seemed slow, bogged down by too many new characters and not enough action. Time and again Kitty remarkes on things being a letdown, or 'anticlimactic' which fits the story here, actually. In the first volume, "Kitty and the Midnight Hour", I remember being disgusted by Kitty and how she let the alpha treat her. That book turned around for me when Kitty decided to stop playing the weak victim. This story too ends up much better off than I had given credit for. An old favorite shows up from the first book and several more interesting things shape up. There is a betrayal or two, a murder or two, and Kitty remains a strong heroine. I found myself a little sorry to have this one end. I also rate the bonus story "Kitty Meets the Band" as an excellent addition. It's only a short story, but its fun. I recommend this one, and I also look forward to the next installment.

Editorial Review:

Celebrity werewolf and late-night radio host Kitty Norville prefers to be heard and not seen. So when she's invited to testify at a Senate hearing on behalf of supernaturals, and her face gets plastered on national TV, she inherits a new set of friends, and enemies, including the vampire mistress of the city; an über-hot Brazilian were-jaguar; and a Bible-thumping senator who wants to expose Kitty as a monster. Kitty quickly learns that in this city of dirty politicians and backstabbing pundits, everyone's itching for a fight.

Not like others in the series... 3 out of 5 stars.
2 of 2 people found this review helpful.

This installment of the series had NONE of the highly erotic scenes that to date have been a trademark of the "Riley Jensen" stories. It was especially a disappointment after the last book, Dangerous Games, which was super-hot. The story itself was okay, but nothing to write home about. FYI-if you are expecting sizzling scenes, you will get nothing from this book beyond perfuctory, traditional (obligatory?) sex scenes.

Editorial Review:

She's hunting a killer—

Five stars and two thumbs up! 5 out of 5 stars.
1 of 1 people found this review helpful.

I wish I didn't take my sweet time getting around to this book because I totally loved it. I read it in one day it was so good, I couldn't put it down. There were very few down points and hardly any long-winded self-analysis (which I hate). This book had mystery, a touch of romance, excitement, action, an interesting magical world, different dimensions and demons which I love to read about. I highly recommend this book and the rest of the series.

If you enjoy Patricia Briggs you will love Wilks 5 out of 5 stars.

Editorial Review:

The USA Today bestselling author returns to the fascinating world she introduced in Tempting Danger, where a woman's very soul is in mortal danger.

An agent in the FBI's Magical Crimes Division, Lily Yu's job is to hunt down a charismatic cult leader bent on bringing an ancient evil into the world. And her only hope will be to trust Rule Turner, a werewolf prince with whom she has mated. And if Lily can't trust him, she'll be lost forever.
