A terrific book for anyone looking for new and different muffin recipes! All the familiar favorites are there, but you'll also find a fun collection of new recipes; garlic-corn, seafood, mint chocolate chip, and black forest. If you like quick,tasty recipes like these, you'll also like any of the Gooseberry Patch books...filled with yummy recipes & easy how-to's.

Mad about Muffins is a wonderful idea for a cookbook and it is very attractive but I think that the author could have found better recipes. The muffins are all very edible but they are not outstanding and the results do not always look "bakeshop pretty". The ingredients called for are simple and most people who bake often will have them on hand. There are many basic recipes (bran, blueberry, corn etc) but there are also some exciting flavor combinations (pumpkin apple, orange pineapple) and not always sweet (some savory ie. Buttermilk Scallion Parsley potato). If you are crazy about muffins then this cookbook is a safe bet but you can find just as good if not better muffin recipes in another baking book that covers alot more categories including muffins.

This Muffins book is the ONLY Muffin book you'll ever have to buy. This book not only has Muffins GALORE, but it also has recipes for quick breads like banana bread and zucchini bread. All the recipes come out perfect and it tastes YUMMY! This book is my 10th cookbook that I have bought from Jean Pare's series Company's Coming. I'm trying to collect all of the books to have a complete collection. I would also recommend the Cookies book from this series by Jean Pare. Cookies book is Cookies Galore!

This was my first Company's Coming book, given to me before I was married, and I have since gained quite a collection of these books. This one is wonderful! I have used it for muffins, cinnamon rolls, quick breads/loaves, etc. Company's Coming books are always guaranteed to have great recipes.

My mom has a copy I have a copy. Pretty well covers the Muffin and Tea Biscuit circuit. With a few changes you can reate new recipes.

In this world of health and whole grain - thank goodness you can still get a piece of good old american white bread!!! And not just any white bread - but Wonder Bread - the bread many of us grew up on!!!

And there's one thing for sure - most of our parents weren't doing the things with Wonder Bread that you'll read about in this book!?!

From breakfast to dessert - and every meal in between - and I'm not just talking about sandwiches - there's a recipe for Swedish Pork Chops!!!

If I were you - I'd add this to your cart - and while you're at it - you might take a peak at the Twinkies Book - and the Fluff Book - two more classics!!!

Many of the recipes in this book use dairy ingredients, so if you are looking for a gluten-free and dairy-free book (for a GFCF diet, for example), this is not a good choice. Some also use soy flour, another common allergen.

Note that this book is from the United Kingdom, but the author does include American equivalent measurements and terms.

Jeremy Jackson has four goals:

Make cornbread one word. Once and for all.

Have cornbread named the official bread of the United States.

Find a wife.

Think outside the box of cornmeal about the Possibilities, potentialities, and promises of cornbread.

Cornbread is the American bread. The by-the-people-for-the-people bread. So it should be put forth to the people with humor. And a whole lot of butter.

The Cornbread Book does just that with recipes for cornbreads, fritters, hush puppies, and biscuits. Cornbreads of the sweet persuasion appear, too, from biscotti to pound cake. And there are yeast breads such as Anadama Batter Bread and Cornmeal Pizza Dough. Don't forget timeless favorites like spoonbread, buttermilk cornbread, and popovers. Not to mention Gospel Buns, Sweet Potato Cupcakes, and Honey Snail (which doesn't come within ten miles of an actual snail).

Cornbread doesn't even have to be made with cornmeal. Hominy-Leek Monkey Bread has riced hominy. I recieved this book last Christmas and have been using it ever since. I am a senior in high school and am planning a career in the baking and pastry arts field. I have taken my book to school to use as a reference tool. Only to find out that my teacher loves it so much he doesn't want me to take it with me when I graduate. I have actually used this book to come up with many products for our many functions and compitions. I can not wait to take this book with me to college.

This is a beautiful cookbook. I love the "Malted Milk Bar" recipe on page 34!!! There's also a recipe for date nut bread--something that I can't find anywhere anymore.

We bought this as a gift. And from what we have tasted it has come in very very handy. All the recipes are easy to follow and very descriptive. If you really don't know much about tortillas or if you are an expert, this book could give you a little helping hand. A great buy! Give it as a gift today.
