This was the first cook book I got. I love this book! Like the title says, it's COOKIES GALORE! There's practically every cookie imaginable in this book, even Teething Biscuits! My favorite recipe is on page 131 Chocolate Crinkles. The recipes are easy to follow. There are many cookies to chose from. Drop cookies, Ice box cookies, No-Bake Cookies, Pressed Cookies, Cut-Out cookies, Shaped Cookies. Every recipe that I've tried so far works and tastes great. It's the perfect, must-have cookbook for cookies!

If you like chocolate chip cookies, then you'll like this book. You wouldn't think that there could be this many variations on a basic receipe, but there certainly are. I'd recommend this book.

If you like making gingerbread houses, this is the book for you. Absolutely beautiful designs, full patterns and clear directions. The great pictures give you a preview of the results and make it hard to decide which one to make first. The many details she put into her desings make everything extra special. I'm looking forward to trying them all, and am determined to buy the author's next book with designs!

I am new to gingerbread houses and this book is the best! I was lucky enough to have chosen this one as my first guide to gingerbread construction. I am absolutely hooked and hope to make projects for Valentines, Easter and on through the year. The instructions are clear and easy to follow. You won't be disappointed with this book!

I am a collector of cookbooks and my favorites are cookie cookbooks. The Wellsley Cookey Exchange Cookbook is the best I have. I've given it as gifts and we all share 'the best ones we've tried'. I've been trying to get a copy for a new friend who shares my love of cookies, but can't seem to find one that is still affordable. I hope the author (who I've spoken with in an attempt to track another copy down) will consider a reprint. I know I could find homes for several dozen myself

This is the best cookie cookbook I have found. I have been making cookies from these recipes for years and have received nothing but wonderful compliments year after year. I would love to find another copy as a backup. All the recipes are easy and have a little history as to where the recipe came from. I have never been disappointed with any recipe I have tried. I would highly recommend this cookbook for delicious cookies, easy to follow recipes, and very nice presentation.

My mother gave me this cookbook 13 years ago, starring all her favorite recipes. I have stars on my favorites now, too, and this cookbook is well-used and documented. I wish it was still in print, because I would give it to many people as a gift. My favorite Christmas cookies are from this cookbook, as well as "everyday" standards.

The book is full of all recipes to do with gingerbread. I thought the book had more gingerbread houses in it and I was not happy because it didnt. Only recipes for different kinds of gingerbread. There are no patterns in this book. So I was a bit dissapointed.

The biscotti recipes in the book are the best I have ever tried! The orange pistachio biscotti is always a crowd pleaser. Easy to follow directions and wonderful photos! You will get lots of use year round out of this cookbook.

The biscotti recipes are not only great, they present a good variety of biscottis that I've never tried before: Pine Nut and Honey Biscotti, Pistachio and Orange Biscotti, and Almond, Lemon and Anise Biscotti. All tasted wonderful and really impressed my family!

The remainder of the cookbook is divided into bar, drop and specialty cookie recipe sections and I have found recipes that kids love (Peanut and Milk Chocolate Chip Cookies), recipes that intrigued me (Walnut-Cardamom Viennese Crescents), recipes that were a sure thing at family gatherings or parties at work (White Chocolate and Macadamia Nut Blondies, especially whe served still slightly warm). I could go on and on, but you get my drift. This cookbook is loaded with wonderful, treasured cookie and biscotti recipes and I highly recommend it!!

I love to cook with my kids and my friends' kids, but we never step back to think what went into the ingredients. This cute book is filled with fascinating details about where butter, chocolate and salt come from that will be a delight to share the next time we bake cookies. What a great way to help young people see the broader impact of our daily lives!

Having 3 kids of my own, we're always on the look out for books that not only the kids like, but we as parents like as well. This book is one such book. Not only is it fun, but it's full of fun facts. We first checked this out from the local library, and my kids loved it. We bought it from Amazon to add it to our collection, and I don't think it's been back on the shelf.

We even made the cookies as directed by the book, which the kids thought was amazing (we adjusted for altitude...).

I don't care for books that give the evolution story as our beginning so I am not really thrilled with this book. The book itself is okay and interesting.

This book has the essence of a Christmas kitchen. As you thumb through the recipes you recall being in Grandma's kitchen baking Christmas cookies for quests and parties. The recipes are simple to follow, plus mouth watering. Ingredients are items you already have in your kitchen to bake and make your home have the wonderful aroma of fresh cookies right out of the oven. Another great thing about this book is it's size. It is compact enough to fit in a Christmas Stocking for the Favorite Cook in your family or friend. The recipes can be used all year round, and not just at the Holidays. We have enjoyed the variety of recipes and I know your friends and family will enjoy your practicing making the tasteful treats. BT
