Okay, lets face it--you're probably not going to buy this just for the recipes. But if you have someone who's both a cook and an old movie fan, they'll appreciate this.
the recipes are really good 5 out of 5 stars.

The book has a slightly frivolous premise, and the trivia are amusing, but the best part is the recipes. I have had many successes and no failures from the this book. The only caveat is that I think there are better recipes for (salty) preserved lemons in some of the other more comprehensive Moroccan cookbooks.
LOVE this cookbook 5 out of 5 stars.

I bought this book because I'm a huge fan of the movie, but it turns out the recipes rock! Several of the salad recipes have become my stand-bys -- things I make all the time, especially for other people. I'm so happy to have found this book.
Editorial Review:
A charming combination of Moroccan recipes and American wit commemorates the 50th anniversary of the classic film Casablanca. Easy-to-follow recipes are sprinkled with amusing trivia from the movie. Illustrations include photographs of film scenes. (Abbeville)
