A cute gift for Casablanca fans 3 out of 5 stars.

Okay, lets face it--you're probably not going to buy this just for the recipes. But if you have someone who's both a cook and an old movie fan, they'll appreciate this.

the recipes are really good 5 out of 5 stars.

The book has a slightly frivolous premise, and the trivia are amusing, but the best part is the recipes. I have had many successes and no failures from the this book. The only caveat is that I think there are better recipes for (salty) preserved lemons in some of the other more comprehensive Moroccan cookbooks.

LOVE this cookbook 5 out of 5 stars.

I bought this book because I'm a huge fan of the movie, but it turns out the recipes rock! Several of the salad recipes have become my stand-bys -- things I make all the time, especially for other people. I'm so happy to have found this book.

Editorial Review:

A charming combination of Moroccan recipes and American wit commemorates the 50th anniversary of the classic film Casablanca. Easy-to-follow recipes are sprinkled with amusing trivia from the movie. Illustrations include photographs of film scenes. (Abbeville)

Editorial Review:

The broad winelands of Constantia Uitsig spread along the foothills of the Constantiaberg and reach right up to the forest belt, dating back to 1796. Bought by the McCays in 1988, the farm has been restored to its former glory and now boasts three restaurants (two of which are award-winners), a private cricket oval, 16 luxurious cottages, and a wine shop. Constantia Uitsig offers a glimpse of this historic wine farm, but the majority of the book is devoted to recipes from the exclusive Constantia Uitsig Restaurant which serves Mediterranean food with a South African twist; La Colombe, in which Provincial cuisine is served in a relaxed atmosphere, and the Spaanshemat River Cafe. This book is a revealing look at current trends in South African cuisine, and is filled with mouth-watering images of the heavenly dishes served by this world class restaurant. Perfect for cooks, foodies, and anyone who cherishes great cooking.

Michelle Anna Jordan fans will like knowing that the New Cook's Tour of Sonoma will be released next year by Sasquatch Books.

Editorial Review:

There are recipes from appetizers and soups to pasta, seafood, meat, and dessert and the guide includes thematic outings as well as restaurant recommendations, seasonal events, and chapters on the wineries, cheese factories, speciality farms, and bakeries.

¡Bueno! 5 out of 5 stars.

Coming from South Texas as I do, I automatically cast a wary eye on any Mexican cookbook. This book contains recipes of wellknown restaurants from all around. It has expanded my own repertoire beyond just our own local version of Tex-Mex. And, the kids love making our own sopaipillas! Yummy!

Surprising 4 out of 5 stars.

I found this book at the Strand in New York City and was really surprised to find a collection of Tex-Mex recipes beyond compare. As a native San Antonian, I have always loved the soups at El Mirador and was very happy to see that this book includes their Friday Bean Soup. In addition, there are recipes from La Fogata(at the book's publication, it was still under the original ownership), Ernesto's and Cappy's.

A real must for Tex-Mex aficionados.
