Obsessed with...Baseball: Test Your Knowledge of America's Pastime (Obsessed With...)

I have nothing but good things to report about this Baseball trivia book so far. I got this book after first getting and loving the one about Movie Trivia. Obssessed With... Hollywood: Test Your Knowledge of the Silver Screen (Obsessed With) (Obsessed With...) So far I have no complaints with either. I would only point out that the Baseball book has a lot tougher questions than the Hollywood book so it's a little harder to get into a groove with it. Also the stats here are only through the 2006 season or so, so just be aware they are not completely up to date for newer stats and players.

This book is packed with very challenging baseball trivia questions, with a nice emphasis on the classic and modern eras. The electronic answer box worked just fine for me. The lower right corner houses the answer box that randomly gives you question numbers to flip to. You also use this box to answer multiple choice questions. It gives you instant feedback on correct and incorrect answers and tracks your accuracy.

The book, while solid, could have been constructed better. This is pretty much the same impression I got from the Hollywood book. The electronic answer box can break away from the hardcover if you're not careful, and I spied a few in the bookstore with that issue. In addition, after playing for a while I've come to think the binding is too tight. A spiral binding would have made flipping through the questions easier.

Regardless, the content is very good and this thing is surprisingly addictive. There is somewhat of a learning curve with this one, but if you love Baseball it's well worth the time.

I would definitely look into this series for other topics. This may not be as cool for home use as some of the newer multimedia DVD trivia games, like the various "Scene It" games Scene It? Movie Travel DVD Game. Still, this book is very portable and well designed with great content. At the price of around $16-$17, it's not a bad value.

Definitely give this one a try.

Streets of Shadow: DU2 - Dungeon Tiles (D&D Accessory) This is a nifty little addition to my D&D collection. I prefer using tiles, and this set adds some nice tile pieces, like the building rooftops, sewer sections, horse-&-carts, and a mob-o-people. Nothing uber-spectacular, but definately worth the price.

Finally! They release a set of dungeon tiles based in an urban type setting. This set has been needed since the beginning and they almost hit it perfect. The only issue I have with the tiles is that Ill have to end up buying another set in order to get full use out of the rooftops section and this isn't a real complaint as they did the best they could with the space given. Now where's the desert and the cold environment sets.

a great deck, there are better books for beginners 3 out of 5 stars.

It took me several trials to find the "right" Rider-Waite/Pamela Colman Smith deck. The first I tried was the basic Rider Waite Tarot deck, which has clear imagery but a little bit of a "3-color" comic book look to it. The second I purchased was the "original" Rider tarot, which I gather is a facsimile reproduction of what the deck used to look like when it was originally produced - the artwork is more detailed but the colors are a bit washed out; however it comes in a nice box set with a pocket sized copy of Waite's originial Key to the Tarot.

This deck, the "Universal Waite" deck, is my personal favorite of the three. The original illustrations by Pamela Colman Smith have been retouched and recolored, so it is not the deck for "purists" but the colors are brighter and the details clearer than either of the other editions I have. This deck is available sold separately from the book; the book included in the book and deck set is the same text found in the "Original Rider" deck box set, and seemed like an unnecessary inclusion with the deck. A beginner will be better served by other books on tarot, and an expert probably already has a copy of this book. The set did include a fold-out paper "mat" describing the celtic cross spread which was rather nice and possibly useful to a beginner but overall I found myself wishing I'd just bought the deck by itself.

I had nothing but a curiosity about woodworking when Amazon brought this book to my attention as a highly rated book for beginners. This book does an absolutely fabulous job of boiling the craft down to the basics for readers unfamiliar with the subject.

This book will not make you a master in any technique, nor will it cover anything in particular detail. What it will do is give you an introduction to wood, common tools (both hand and powered), and basic techniques for making fine furniture. This book was the beginning of an addiction for me, and for that I am grateful!

These books are great as well as a lot of fun. I usually do them with my daughters and it's a great way for us to have family time together that doesn't cost a lot of money. They also help increase your focus and concentration skills.

I thought this guide would give me the secrets to beating the game, but it only caused confusion. Most of the information in the guide book was extremely different from the game. I was very disappointed.
