Dr. Gary Hitzig has improved my appearance and self image. I have had transplants by Dr. Hitzig which are truly undetectable, even to my own hair stylist.

His book is the bible for anyone losing their hair.

Editorial Review:

A guide to hair loss by a doctor who has lost his own hair and regained it after experimenting with several useless and costly remedies is presented in a question-and-answer format that considers the available options.

Editorial Review:

Hair transplantation is widely recognized as the most effective current treatment for male-pattern baldness. This is an illustrated step-by-step guide on the techniques and aesthetic considerations of hair transplant surgery. The book is devoted to what is sometimes referred to as micrografts - moving small quantities of hair-bearing skin (containing three to four follicles) to non-hair-bearing areas. It is filled with practical hints on planning, design and execution of hair transplantation. Features of the book include: help in planning the right operation for all types of pattern baldness; pointers on combining standard grafts, minigrafts and micrografts to achieve a natural appearance; advice on treating younger, rapidly-balding patients; and information on designing surgery that ages with the patient and produces permanent, high-quality results.

From the author: The primary cicatricial alopecias are an uncommon, complex group of disorders that result in permanent destruction of the hair follicle, usually involving scalp hair alone. Prompt diagnosis and treatment are needed to help thwart continued hair loss and the distress that often accompanies this hair loss. Nurses can facilitate the diagnostic and treatment process and, through educational and emotionally supportive measures, have a meaningful, positive impact on the patient's well being.

Met Dave Beswick head-on at the 25th. Annual Bald Is Beautiful Convention in Morehead City, NC with a smile as shinny as his bald head. He has capsuled the advantages of baldness, promoted the acceptance and placed a positive attitude on those who find themselves hairless. His candid approach to baldness helps one make a smooth entrance into those who are making headway. Relaxing and fun reading with the guarantee you'll not lose a hair over this insightful look at baldness.

misleading title for the book 1 out of 5 stars.
10 of 12 people found this review helpful.

I was disapointed with the book, its more like a counsiling book than a hair loss book. If i wanted counsiling i would have bought a counsiling book. I read the book in an hour.

Good Book. Should be added to your reading list. 5 out of 5 stars.
9 of 10 people found this review helpful.

I don't get some of the negative reviews as the book never claims to cure or solve hairloss. Its clearly someone's take and experience on the matter and its a damn good one. You never read the stuff that this book talks about and it should be read by anyone who is looking seriously at this issue. Folks who are looking for desperate, quick fixes are going to end up making some stupid and rash decisions. When weighing your options or just looking to enlighten yourself in healthy ways of dealing with your hairloss, this book should be a must on your list of reading.

Editorial Review:

Finally, a sound solution to the hair loss problem.

This book is for those who are losing or have lost their hair and are searching for an alternative to costly and painful hair replacement surgery, risky drugs, phony looking and time consuming hair weaves, obvious toupees, hopeful hair thickening potions and ridiculous scalp paints.

You’ll be absolutely surprised at what this author discovered and shares openly. A solution to hair loss you probably never considered. An easy to read, simple solution that costs nothing but the price of this invaluable book!

If you’re losing or have lost your hair and are considering drastic measures, STOP! Read this book first.

If you’re losing your hair, this may be the most important book you ever read.

What a fun book 5 out of 5 stars.
5 of 5 people found this review helpful.

This book teaches a valuable lesson about accepting the oddball in the classroom while entertaining the child with a great story. The glossary is hilarious and challenging. I will use this book in my classroom for years to come.

From a school media specialist: 5 out of 5 stars.

We are all teaching tolerance, character education, and acceptance of others. Justin Matott's "Drinking Fountain Joe," does an excellent job of grabbing kids by the heart strings and showing them that the weird kid in their class, who is different (to say the least), may have some wonderful redeeming qualities. We have all known a "Drinking Fountain Joe." Many of these Joes grew up to be CEO's of large corporations. One of these Joes grew up to be Justin Matott. We LOVED the story.

I love this book!! 5 out of 5 stars.

This is my favorite book ever!!!!!! It is about a boy who likes to make potions and things to cure his school of germs. It is very cool and interesting. My favorite part is when he gives the principal a potion that makes his hair grow. It has funny parts that make you laugh. It has a glossary at the end of the book to tell you what the words that are hard to read or understand mean. The author does a great job and I really like his writing. ALl of his other kid's books are great and my parents love his adault books. You should buy and read all of his books. They are great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
