This is a great book for all card makers. I'm not sure where to start... I like the way it discusses major color principles and theories, it helped me put together colors I wouldn't have thought to put together before. It also gives 'Designer Swatches' and then shows a couple of different cards created with those colors, which is great for new ideas. I love the "Designer Model" cards, they look so complicated, but Jenn breaks them down step by step so they will be easy to re-create. She also gives tips on how to simplify design for those 50 Holiday cards or party invitations you need to make. All in all there's something in here for card makers at all levels. Not only does it showcase some beautiful cards, there are also helpful reasons to send cards, "Sorry about your splinter" is definitely deserving of a card, and not one I would have thought about before...lol...

The book is divided into chapters focusing on composition, color, theme, construction and inspiration. Instructions are clear but concise, making room for large pictures and multiple variations. Where is Sweden? 3 out of 5 stars.

This book has a few Swedish-inspired ideas (e.g., heart ornaments) that make it worth checking out from the library but it is not worth purchasing. There is little to no mention of Swedish Christmas customs or traditions and many of the crafts look pretty American. I was looking forward to learning about Sweden's celebration of this wonderful holiday but was sorely disappointed by this book.

A super book with great ideas for cards. I made the 'Cup of Kindness' card, with my own background, as a thank you card for a valued tea maker at a U3A course, and she loved it. It was so easy. There are patterns for bubbles, hearts, men's ties and even fireworks,and many more, all with clear instructions. Great book, and so attractively presented.

The book is not for the cutsie pumpkin cutters. This is for the imaginative and slightly disturbed. This is a great follow up to Extreme Pumpkins I!
