At last, a book on Photoshop that is completely thorough 5 out of 5 stars.

I am a long-time Photoshop user and bookstore junky. Over the years, I have been on a mission to find a book on Photoshop that not only describes the functionality in a clear and concise way, but also puts its usefullness into context. All of this in one volume? I didn't think it possible.For instance, you will be hard-pressed to find any useful information out there about using spot color channnels that even approaches the excellent explanation in this book. Also, there are a multiplicity of interesting and off-the-beaten-track ideas on how to maximize the implemententation of some the more common tools
I only bought it last week and already it is the most thumbed-through book in my reference library. Whenever I'm hit with a challenging project, I look to this book alone for inspiration. Not only that, but the author's Web site is a treasure trove of useful information and resources. Richard, the author, is a genius at cutting through all the psychobabble and getting right down to the meat of matter.
I cannot recommend this book enough.
