Chase had a terrible fear of loud noises that would send him into uncontrollable fits of tears. His mother, author Carol Bowman, could find no rational explanation for her son's behavior and decided to try an experimental procedure, allowing Chase to experience past life regression. She was shocked to hear her red-haired, freckle-faced son describe, in accurate detail, how he was an African American soldier who fought in the Civil War and died on the battlefields. He spoke of the rifles, of being wounded, of missing his wife and children, of wishing he had not volunteered to fight, of the loud sounds of shots ringing out incessant thunderous outbursts, and of dying. After Chase remembered this past life, his fear of loud noises utterly disappeared.

THIS BOOK IS EXCELLANT. IT WILL REMOVE ANY FEAR OF DEATH OF THE PHYSICAL BODY. WHEN YOU HAVE PASSED FROM THE SCREEN OF LIFE YOU WILL FIND YOURSELF IN A PLACE MUCH LIKE YOU ARE USED TO. YOUR LIKES AND INTERESTS WILL PLACE YOU WITH OTHERS OF LIKE INTERESTS.

I didn't care for the reflections that were given by the ladies in this book. It was hard to understand what she was saying. I think she was stuck in some realm..

In "Testimony of Light", Helen Greaves shares the messages she received through automatic writing from her close friend (and former nun) Frances Banks about life on the Other Side - explaining her day to day experiences, important things to remember as we live our lives on the physical plane, as well as the knowledge/wisdom she had gained since "passing on".

This is one of those books that I just couldn't put down! In fact, I truly wish there was more - I would have loved to follow Frances and the other's she mentions as they continued to learn & grow in their "new"/"old" environments!

Overall, I would highly recommend "Testimony of Light" to anyone interested in what life might be like after physical "death". Because it covers both the beutiful and not-so-beautiful places/people/things that may be encountered, I found it to be more inclusive than many other books on the subject.

I am thankful for Nanci Danison's insightful recall of her personal NDE which resonated deeply within me; and, as I read her account, I had the sense I was hearing truth spoken, finally! I was recently privileged to hear Ms. Danison speak in person and found her personal account of her profoundly life-changing experience surprisingly candid and honest, thus, very credible - a woman who needed to do something with the knowledge she was given during her incredible journey and in so doing, she's become God's Messenger. This is a book I will return to over and over again.

I really wanted to like this book because I loved Monroe's first book, but this one is just terrrible. I'm sorry, but unless you actually were in these studies at his laboratory decades ago, you probably won't understand what he's talking about throughout the book. I didn't get it at all after 30 or 40 pages into the book. If you're at the bookstore, flip through the book and you'll see what I'm saying. Perhaps if you're an experienced astral traveler you'll dig some of this mumbo jumbo but it's totally untelligible to me.

I've been involved with Out of Body Experiences, Remote Viewing, and such "crazy" ideas for a long time. These books are fantastic. Robert Monroe is a TRUE scientist, as he put EVERYTHING on the line to admit a truth that just couldn't be explained away.

I think it says volumes that the US Army Intel, US Airforce Intel, CIA, NSA, National Security Council, and every government agency in the US sent it's best and brightest officers to train with Robert Monroe. To this day the US Intelligence community continues to use OBE, Remote Viewing, and many of the "nutty" stuff Robert Monroe learned.

It's very sad, that the general public won't understand that the techniques, can exist in everyone and can be taught to everyone. Humanity will always be poorer for it.

RIP Robert, tell Patrick your guide hello.

If you buy one book on the near-death experience, make it this one. Lessons from the Light is a treasure; radiant, direct, and moving. Like the light seen in the near-death experience, Dr. Ring's masterpiece is replete with messages and healing gifts for anyone who picks it up. In fact, it is impossible to read Lessons and not be transformed by its message, woven together from the many golden threads of Dr. Ring's case studies. We learn there is another mode of existence where the blind and comatose can see, babies can watch their birth from above, and life never ends. This testimony compels us to open our hearts to a luminous compassion for ourselves, others, and the planet. These personal glimpses beyond the veil help us re-envision the face of death from that of a feared specter to that of the perfect lover we have always longed for.

Ironically, by learning about dying, we gain crucial insights about living that can redirect our understanding to the things that matter; what we take with us to the other side, especially love and service to others. the book is a very fast read. It contains data from many researchers on the subject, especially how other cultures view reincarnation, which is very informative but it begs for more. The stories described are fun to read.
