I tried a couple of times to get into this book, but after the third attempt I put it down. The storyline for this book was a great idea, but the characters are underdeveloped and the story moves way too fast without enough details. Although, it wasn't a bad book it didn't hold my attention either.

Jessie Bell, 18, convinces Traynor Devereaux, a 22 year old preacher, to marry her. By the time of her marriage, Jessie Bell had been pregnant twice, yet able to convince Traynor she was virgin on her wedding night.

During the course of their marriage, Jessie Bell hired prostitutes to seduce people, blackmailed some people and caused the suicide of one person. Many years into the marriage, Traynor figures out Jessie Bell and decides to leave her. Traynor, however, decides to return and Jessie Bell decides to change. When she changes, she begins to reap what she sowed.

This book was soooooo good that when it endedI kept looking at the pages wanting more. The author is an excellent writer and storyteller. My only complaint is that she uses the word "nonchalance" too much in the book.

I definitely recommend this book.

I know I am late reading this book since it has been out for a while, but I had never heard of AnnaJ or this book until I came across it as an offer when I bought another book. I tried it and it is good. I liked the plot and the characters and I felt that the flow of the story was smooth. I read it in about two days and passed it on to my sister. I will read part two and any other books AnnaJ writes. Happy Writing.

Tanya White's book "Realtionship Reruns" really hit the spot. She teaches and tell you how to break the cycle of choosing the wrong people for the right realtionships. It really enlightened me on some of the things I may have been doing wrong. She gives pointers, and a number of point of views. She pulls you to look deep deep down within yourself and what you might be doing and what you can do to change the situtuion.

a bit too much distraction. I mean the story line is followable, but once my heart goes to one scene, the story jump to someone elses story. You know, Trent. And by the time we get back to Nick the feeling is fresh and new. Basically everyone is linked to everybody in the company. so, it is really like the operasoap kinda story. U could say this after you read the conversation.. very dramatic and hmm.. too simple!

Read it. Not too bad really, but not the best either.

A story that proves revenage never pays especially when there's a handsome man involved. Shayla Kirkland is set out for revenage on the company that she swears destroyed her mother. Timing is everything, a friend, who had a positive impact on Sebastian's life, left him one-fourth ownership in his construction company. The will requires Sebastian spend a minimum of six weeks in Tennessee to help settle company issues.

Jocelyn Mason owns one-half of the company and her sister the other one-fourth.
Sebastian's arrival is met with stern opposition from Jocelyn, who has been running the company for the last eight months, she resents his presence. As confident as she is with where she has taken the company, she is leery of Sebastian; he is a corporate shark who swims with the big fish. Additionally, Jocelyn cannot ignore that he reminds her, more than she wants, she is a woman. When she realizes he plans to stay longer than the six weeks specified in the will, her patience snaps. As the two jockey for control, the boardroom loses some potency.

NIGHT HEAT, the second book in the Forged of Steel series, is fused with the hardness of steel and the sizzling heat that lingers when steel is torched. Again Jackson gives readers strong characters, sassy actions, and sweet tempered loving. There is a secondary story that fits well with the primary characters. Jackson shows how to balance love, lust, and turmoil in an invigorating way. Bring on the next 'steel magnolia' the soil has been properly tilled.

While I enjoyed this book, I feel that Mrs Jackson's writing style has become predictable. I expect and she delivers on the passion and happy endings. I know that she often writes "connecting" books where characters reappear, however, I'd like her romantic characters to have more depth.

I gave this book three stars bcz I CANNOT believe that Mrs. Jackson's team (herself, proofreaders, editors) would let this go to print with the word "desserts" misspelled on the cover title as well as within the text.

While I remain a fan, I expect Mrs. Jackson to raise the bar for others that follow in her footsteps.

Once you read Thugs and The Women That Love Them you must know what happens next. This book was great! Some of the scenes get a little boring, especially if you have read Zane books, but its still good.

Once again I think people are putting too much into this book! It was not the best book for me...It took me too long to read the book for one and then for two it seems like everything is happening over and over again. I also thought that I was going to get some questions answered from the first book but I didn't! So I will have to think long and hard if I want to read the third book...Sorry Wahida, it didn't work for me this time.

Somebody's Gotta Be On Top, But Who? 4 out of 5 stars.

This isn't necessarily a page turner, but it's definitely an enjoyable read. Mary Morrison is an excellent writer with imagination, depth, and a flare for really building her characters and her storyline. Even though this isn't my favorite book by this awesome writer, it's solid and well-worth reading.

Darius Jones is quite a character with a super ego. His total disregard for women makes it hard to believe that he could ever truly love a woman. His selfish, boastful nature gets him into some dangerous waters and will test the saying, "what doesn't kill you will only make you stronger."

I'm looking forward to reading the next book and finding out more juicy details about Kevin, Ashlee, Ciara, and Jada. I am also interested in finding out if Darius is going to change or remain the same self-serving prick that we've come to know and love/hate.

I've never read anything from this author but I must say GOOD JOB! The book was juicy and kept you on your toes. Trust and believe me when I saw it's worth buying. I read it literally in a day cause I couldn't put it down.
