A good collection 5 out of 5 stars.

These are superior stories, and they're all different. She can make you laugh in one story and give you chills in the next. The title novella is a fantastic piece of writing.

Nice variety 4 out of 5 stars.

I was impressed by the variety in these stories. Some of them are only meant to be light entertainment, but others like "Jack Be Quick" and "The Favor" really get to you. I especially liked "Scat" -- which uses the title word in four different meanings.

One of the best books I've ever come across! 5 out of 5 stars.

This is a great book! I stumbled across it and thought the title was amusing. I ended up reading it in 1 day. I actually couldn't put it down! The story itself is great, her sense of humor shows through, but there is one problem with it... it's too short!! This would make a great series!! I highly recommend it if you can find it. I'm keeping my copy though!

odd characters give the book a decent grade 4 out of 5 stars.
1 of 1 people found this review helpful.

'You Have the Right To Remain Silent' is a quadruple ritualistic murder mystery featuring NYPD Detective Sergeant Marian Larch. She's fed up with all of the politics in police work and on the verge of quitting throughout the book. The characters are original and show some depth. The mystery itself is unique, including a motive that I still think is a little off, but...most murderers are a little off as well. I give this book a "B-"

Editorial Review:

When four employees working on a government contract at Universal Laser Technologies are found handcuffed and shot in the eye in Manhattan, Marian Larch must find out what they were not supposed to know. Reprint.

Elizabeth Stewart has traveled to Tordendal, where her mother was born in Norway, in the shadow of Torden Horn. She's come to stay for a while, with hopes to meet some of her relatives, and work on an illustrated book of wild flowers. But soon after she arrives in Norway unusual things begin to happen. Her hotel room is no longer available, someone had sent a note to cancel it. She hires a driver to take her to Tordendal, and along the way he shoves her over a cliff in an attempt to kill her. When that fails, the cottage where she is supposed to spend her time in Tordendal burns to the ground ... and then she meets again the mysterious man from the Mjosa Steamer ... only to find he is Paul Ringstad, widower of her late cousin, Gina, and father to the very somber little girl called Juliana. Beth struggles to determine why someone would want to kill her ... what secrets does Tordendal hide that someone would do anything to protect?
