Best Book I've Seen for QB Pro 2002 4 out of 5 stars.

Janet Horn's textbook is the best I have seen in my years of teaching Quick Books Pro. This is a tutorial text, meaning that YOU, the student, have lots of work to do. The instructions are usually clear and concise and VERY easy to follow. An "end of chapter" exercise allows you to see what you learned in the chapter by working without a tutorial other than what was in the chapter. This book contains many screen shots, some of which are not correct, but all of which demonstrate the process of using the book. I've taught accounting for 18 years and have taught computerized accounting for approximately 10 years.
Editorial Review:
Quickbook Pro 2002 and Student CD provides training in using one of the best-selling computerized accounting programs available for small-to-mid-sized businessesQuickBooks 2002, QuickBooks Pro 2002, and QuickBooks Premier 2002. This comprehensive book contains visually-oriented chapters that are interrelated so users can see the full effect of transactions for the accounting cycle in service and merchandising businesses, as well as payroll and company creation. The volume provides an introduction to computers and QuickBooks Pro and details sales and receivables, payables and purchases and general accounting and end-of-period procedures in the service and merchandising businesses, as well as payroll and computerizing a manual accounting system.
